Highkey gen there wouldnt be much tadc haters if Jax would have just been protag from the beginning
I am lowk disappointed from the finale from the lack of answers, development and execution. Especially for Jax, the way the show set her up was so done terribly. The way her storyline shifted to be main focus, cutting out the development of the rest of the female cast was a terrible writing choice, It not only makes me hate the character but the story as well. I'm a little peeved so i came up with some ideas for some kind of tadc rewrite. If Gooseworx wanted to make a Jax centric story they should have made her the protagonist from the beginning! This way the amount of backstory we know about her makes sense!
Here are some changes I would have made to this TADC rewrite with Jax as a protag:
Ep1: C&A backstory revealed, explains why circus was created . explains why C&A went under and explains why characters are brain scanned. ( i know that sounds pretty crazy! woah show lore 1st episode?? I mean.. tbh i miss when shows would have this big "hook" moment,, yknow when something crazy happens at the start to make you want to keep watching the show? Additionaly, most TADC fans point out that this is a "character-driven" show so the circus lore shouldnt matter right? Well to me it does. so if any fan like me want to know some answers , lets get it over with i want to see it 1st ep. Its not gonna be QUICK direct answers its gonna be like a montage timelapse kinda thing. Another reason i want circus lore so early is because i heard that the point of TADC is to find meaning in a stagnant life. so why not establish the stagnant life environment early on to the viewer so they too along with the other circus members get to learn? )
In ep 1 Everyone in circus except Pomni has already been there for a while, they will be on an adventure and this will show personality of Caine and dynamic of other circus members , Im gonna make a change here to make Gangle and Ragatha to have a friendship together!!
ending of ep1 will have pomni finnaly appear.
Other episode / character changes:
-Caine will NOT crash out due to members not liking his games anymore. Instead He will crash out when he finds out that the members have figured out how to use the circus admin powers and had been creating stuff for themselves for a LONG time and hanging out WITHOUT him ( would be super fun to make an adam and eve apple allegory here!!!)
-Zooble will be the first member to find out the power to create anything in the circus and makes a secluded bar for members to hangout in if they get overwhelmed in adventures (kinger doesnt count he forgot everything) (( i made this a thing so Caine has more reason to hate on Zooble)
Ragatha and Jax were friends at one point, this is due to Ragatha's mannersims and overall personality reminding Jax of her own mother . When Pomni arrives they will become friends again. Near end of finale though I think Ragatha rightfully crashes out on him and they stop being friends again.
Zooble will already have their identity figured out. (im so sorry guys. if the show decided to fix their turmoil off camera then might as well remove that plot point if it wasnt gonna be explained :(( ) Additionally I am making this change so Jax will have someone!! Literally life is giving him the option to make the right choices and stop himself by self sabotaging and Zooble is the perfect person to talk to!!! I wanna have this change so his self sabatoging is very extemelry clear. I wanna do something what Bojack Horseman did, have the main character clearly show progress but then heavily regress. Also also this give jax all the more reason to NOT like zooble, she's super jealous that Zooble have themselves figured out and is comfortable open about their identity.
-More ragatha and kinger scenes!!! Personally I think since Ragatha didnt have the greatest mother rolemodel ever, she would gravitate towards any parental model she can get so that means in my rewrite she would be hanging out with Kinger more,, Kinger gives her validation all the time! This way at one point Kinger can give his awesome wisdom and help Ragatha feel like she belongs and not having to act nice all the time. yo lowk what if it was ragatha with kinger in ep 3? what if what if???
caine dies permanently um . im so sorry to all the caine fans out there. I think the finale brought Caine back too quickly. so personally i think he should have stayed dead,, that way it gives the other members more room to breath, have more freedom have more feeling to create
