A sign of it is dreaming about the past that was forgotten. I know this is a storytelling tool, but this is actually how it happens irl too. It means your subconscious is ready to process what was suppressed.

This happens when the body feels safe enough to begin healing.

So why now?…

Because of Yor and Anya. In this case, they’re next to him after he wakes up from a nightmare, symbolically and literally creating a sense of safety, a safe space. He feels safe with them in “Loid’s house.” Even if he doesn’t realize it, his body does.

This is also why he collapses when he returns home and sees Yor.

And Anya gives him comfort with a headpat (physical affection) when he wakes up from the nightmare. Real comfort, telling him that he has nothing to be afraid of. He’s safe.

His heart, his home, his safe space, held by two people.

It means 2 things

1. Dealing with Yor was a high priority and high stress thing for him. It means she is important to him.

Remember this was the face he made when he couldn't bring himself to kill Yuri.

Do you really think Twilight, the best spy of Westalis, would ever be this chill admitting he fell in love with the woman he's hired to deceive? The day he becomes self-aware will be the worst day of his life. Just think about his existential crisis when he realized he protected Yor impulsively and risked the mission:

My unpopular opinion is I'm kinda feeling like Franky is gonna find out about Yor being the Thorn Princess and working for Garden before everyone else does.

Because at this rate, he's gonna die of fucking ulcers or a heart attack before Anya's graduation 😭

Strong arm her into a social situation she's deeply, deeply uncomfortable with? No. Just no. I'm building her an escape tunnel.

There might‘ve not been a Twiyor kiss or jealous Loid but I do think it‘s nice how these two worked so well together.

Maybe the point of the arc wasn‘t just about Teiyor developement but actually more about Yuri accepting the marriage. He sees how far Loid will go to protect Yor and make sure she doesn‘t feel uncomfortable etc and as a result how happy she actually is!

I can see the arc ending with Yuri telling Yor that he came around and thinks Loid is a good guy (while shoving his jealously down cause he still has a long way until he resolves his issues).

I know we all want jealous Twilight, but protective Twilight is EXTREMELY hot:

I told you there was no way in hell he was going to let another man kiss his wife.

And of course, you are 100% correct, Yor. He can't stand the idea of you kissing another man 😌
