“Oh- Is that a pokedex?” He felt a bit envious since he himself had never gotten a chance to go on a pokemon journey.. It felt a bit like cheating to have someone else show you a pokemon for it, but at the same time he was a bit excited that even though he personally couldn’t go on a journey, that maybe he’d get to help someone else who could. Surely it wouldn’t matter if he was only a little late getting to Ecruteak.

“Yeah. I haven’t collected too many pokemon for it yet.” He didn’t exactly want to say it but he was still having issues figuring the thing out. Even Krane didn’t seem to have much info on Pokedexs. The one he was given was sent from this very region. 

Clair nodded briefly. “You want to head down this road a bit just before Route 45. It’s on the south edge of the city.”

She watched as the trainer casually returned his hand to his pocket, noticing he was fairly easy-going– and perhaps a little tired, too. The weary mareep standing by him seemed to confirm this. They must have traveled far and were looking for a place to stay for the night.

The male glanced in the direction she mentioned. IT may not have been in sight but it couldn’t be too far, right? It was still in this city after all. He had come to learn some towns didn’t even have centers and it felt a little strange to him but that was kept to himself. Running a pokemon center was rather expensive he figured.

“There’s no need.”

Sure he’d get to the center sooner with someone guiding him but even if he got a little lost he could ask around, maybe get more practice in with his poke’nav.
