hello everyone! i am riina and will be playing leila, your friendly neighborhood software engineer and mom friend. here are some bits of information on her!

full name: leila anvari. pronouns: she/her. age: thirty-six. date of birth: april 11th. marital status: single. sexuality: bisexual. hometown: long island city, queens, new york city.

leila was born in new york city to an iranian father and a spanish-iranian mother, both of whom had emigrated to the united states in the mid 1970s. they were both involved in the city’s punk scene and met that way. leila and her twin brother reza were born in 1982, two years after their parents got married. she also has a younger sister and three foster siblings.

her mother is a social worker while her father works in community development. leila actually planned on following her parents’ footsteps but ended up falling in love with problem-solving and programming in high school. she went on to get her bachelors and masters degree in electrical engineering from uc berkeley. she moved to san francisco after graduating.

she worked for a few different tech companies for the better part of ten years before landing her current job with a startup some of her old college buddies had launched. she basically works to develop accessibility software for different companies. 

was actually engaged to be married between the ages of 25 and 28. it simply didn’t work out. 

volunteers as a mentor to a teenage girl in foster care and teaches coding to local youngsters. leila genuinely adores children and would love to either foster or adopt in the near-ish future.
