okay so! 

tony was born in boston and lived there most of his life 

yes he has a pretty strong boston accent but it has toned down over the past few years 

he was the eldest son of two immigrant parents

they paved the way for him and his life 

and basically they wanted him to achieve the best life had to offer

but when tony was little he started to skate and get interested in hockey 

so it was hard for his parents to wrap their heads around their son playing hockey bc... like.. they never watched it before they didn’t know what it was 

but tony was completely enamored so his parents gave their all and spent so much time and effort in getting him lessons and putting him on junior teams 

and tony really worked hard at it bc in boston everyone loved hockey and he knew he had to prove himself bc his parents didnt have money and no one believed in him 

and he did and as he got older he got an offer to play at boston university and took it and it seemed as if his life was planned out 

he knew he was going to the nhl and everything seemed fine and dandy 

and it was for a while, bc he DID go to the nhl and he got to play for the rangers for a while and new york wasn’t too far away from his family and suddenly he was famous and it was HIS dream 

but then in his third year of professional hockey he stretched his shoulder and played on it and then got hit and eventually his shoulder became dislocated

which meant he was done 

the pain was really bad and it seemed like his dream was over with 

so the only way he knew how to cope was with drugs

which he had easy access to bc of all the pain, he had tons of pain killers 

and this led him down a tERRIBLE ROAD

he spent so much of his money and was just terrible to his parents 

and one night he was driving high and got into an accident

no one was hurt but there could have been MAJOR troubles 

and that was when he knew he had to change

so he went to rehab and got clean and got himself together

and after that, not many people were open to ever seeing him play hockey again 

he knew it would be a tough road but he kept conditioning and trying and eventually he was able to play again 

he was about 28 when he could play again and he was so much more serious about the game and knew the struggles that came with it, he felt prepared

his first season back was great, but during off season, he tore his shoulder and that was when he knew he was done for good

so after that, he took time off and he stayed with his parents and tried to care for them as much as possible, since they gave him so much 

and one day, he called up an old coach and asked about coaching, because he still loved the game, he didn’t want to quit 

and he was able to acquire an assistant coaching position for the San Jose Sharks,

so he packed up once again and moved to san francisco 

and he has loved it ever since, he can’t get enough of coaching and he is incredibly happy to be where he is today

OKAY So PERSONAlity wise ??? this man is ... tiring 

he always wants people to like him,,, all his life he was afraid of failure (still is) 

tbh he reminds me SO MUCh of michael from jane the virgin 

and he is very much like ben from parks and rec

he is very goofy once you get to know him but he presents a very logical and serious front to everyone

i. since she was young, she’s been obsessed with film. with a brood as large as hers, elizabeth needed something make her feel special. important. and maybe she’d get lost in the fray of her siblings, but the classics always gave her a purpose. she knew from an early age that she wanted to be an actress. the problem, however, was her... attitude. 

ii. she’s not mean, necessarily. in fact, she can be quite humorous and observant. however, she doesn’t necessarily work well in groups, and her brash temperament can often sway others away. essentially, elizabeth is A Lot and she knows it. 

iii. she’s recently turned twenty-five, and she knows the window is closing on her opportunity to be a real actress. she does low budget stage productions around san francisco, but she mostly works as a barista and other odd jobs around town --- the knowledge of her limited time has made her... a little bit bitter. she doesn’t care much for herself, indulges in many vices, and is teetering on the edge of completely giving up. 

iv. elizabeth does love her siblings and her nieces, and though she lives close to her brother, she knows that her lifestyle isn’t the best to have babies around so she keeps that part of her life guarded from him and the rest of her siblings.

BASICALLY she’s a messy, aspiring failing actress that’s turning to many vices ( drink, drugs, etc ) to cope, but there’s a flicker of hope there. 

ok . so . reidun is the fourth child of anderssen’s . she had an older sister , who passed away from drug overuse when reid was only four . fearing for the health of his only remaining daughter , mr. anderssen raised reid as closely as he could . he was a single dad , a catholic devotee . 

his efforts were for nothing tho , bitch was a wild animal . she liked to run with the boys , play football , watch the sky from the rooftops , climb trees , piss the teachers off by her know-it-all attitude ... damn a handful ,, , amirite ??? 

surrounded by her older brothers , she couldn’t help but become ,, kinda ,, one of them . but mostly her dad . yes , he sheltered her tightly , but annual poker nights were hosted at their place every other week , and she was there to learn every detail .

during hs , her senior year , she got knocked up by her then boyfriend & had the baby . damn the disappointment in her brothers & dad’s eyes . it was bad .

throwing the baby in the arms of her old af step mother , she got married at twenty . he’s her wc , so where they met .. idk .

anyway , after graduating , she applied to be a fbi . especially killin it during the physical test , she swiftly got accepted . 

she didn’t get to save the world as much as she thought she would , but it was still the best years of her life . she travelled the world chasing the criminals , abandoning her home all together . her fragile relationship with her child was almost gone .  

at mid thirties , a couple years away from retiring , she was caught during a cross fire , getting shot four times . 

as if her health condition was not enough , the bureau , mostly her boss , pinned the failed operation on reidun , saying she was the reason why four men were now dead .

after a year long lawsuit , she was fired , losing all her credibility . considering the sacrifices she made , reid was furious . 

months of spending “me time” she finally found her calling , she decided to return to her roots . 

instead of being one of the good , reid reached out to old friends , friends who had friends serving for gambling .

hence began reid’s nights , an elite poker group . 

it sure is not illegal , but doesn’t mean it’s right lmaooooo

leila was born in new york city to an iranian father and a spanish-iranian mother, both of whom had emigrated to the united states in the mid 1970s. they were both involved in the city’s punk scene and met that way. leila and her twin brother reza were born in 1982, two years after their parents got married. she also has a younger sister and three foster siblings.

her mother is a social worker while her father works in community development. leila actually planned on following her parents’ footsteps but ended up falling in love with problem-solving and programming in high school. she went on to get her bachelors and masters degree in electrical engineering from uc berkeley. she moved to san francisco after graduating.

she worked for a few different tech companies for the better part of ten years before landing her current job with a startup some of her old college buddies had launched. she basically works to develop accessibility software for different companies.

emma was born in san francisco california in 1982. her parents were high school sweethearts who had been together for years, they had her when they were around 26 and were a cute lil fam, everything was perfect but sadly it didn’t last long.

**  tw death; when emma was barely 6 months old her mom passed away, on her way home from work she was simply at the wrong place at the wrong time and was mugged, she tried to fight back which was a bad decision which ultimately led to her premature death.

so ofc her dad was devastated and everything from that on was tough af but he did his best to look after emma. he was working double jobs and would take her with him bc he just wasn’t interested in leaving her with a nanny?? and overall was a great dad tru champ

bc of this growing up emma and her dad were close af, he was her best friend and they were literally always together. he never remarried and would barely ever date, and when he did he’d never introduce his gfs to emma, so she always missed out on a true mother figure which was just sad af

naturally she’d hang out with a bunch of men the whole time, her dad and his friends / coworkers who’d also look after her. so she kinda got into a lot of hobbies and things that were lowkey considered “boyish” back then.

despite this emma was a v girly girl though, and she’d get frustrated af when her dad couldn’t pull off those cool pretty hairstyles for her or when he’d pick out the wrong pair of jeans or shoes lol which happened all the time.

at age 14 she had a big ass crush on one of her teachers and this was when she started figuring out her sexuality, bc she’d always been so close to her dad she didn’t hesitate on coming to him first. at first he thought maybe she was just confused, maybe growing up without any women in her life had something to do with it ??? but sure enough that had nothing to do with it and it was something he learned eventually. it threw him off at first but he never made her feel wrong for it or anything. a+ parenting if u ask me.

her dad had saved enough money to send her to uni, but emma wanted to become a veterinarian which was a little more expensive than he expected, so she offered to work a part time job and help pay for her own studies.

when she was an intern right before graduating, some guys she used to hang with talked her into taking some supplies from the clinic and sell them it. it seemed like an easy way to do money and she really needed it at the time? so it sort of became a thing for her. this went on for a while, even after she was already an established veterinarian and didn’t really need the money anymore ?? it still seemed like a good and easy way to make some extra cash. this stopped a while ago tho after it got to be too much and she didn’t even need it anymore so ya know.

sejal is the second oldest, middle child of the mathur family. her mother was a bollywood starlet and her father a working class man. as the second born, it was obvious that sejal was treated different than her older sister shantipriya and soon later her younger brother. she had become the token middle child and black sheep of the family. everyone in her family was very artistic sejal lacked having artistic and creative talent. she was a lot more tomboyish with an interest in sports. she also had a deep admiration for animals, academics, etc.

in her pre-teen years her family was moving to san francisco. sejal had stayed behind with her aunt and uncle as she was pursing wrestling. she became a state, then national champion in the junior league. this was frowned upon by many people in the village she lived in. but sejal didn't take much offense too it. never feeling comfortable in either boy clothes or girl clothes she felt herself differ from the gender norm. even if sejal didn't think about this too much other people did. one night one of the boys she lowkey had beaten up for making fun of her and broken into her room. he took a cricket bat and bashed in both kneecaps ruining her chances of ever pursing wrestling.

feeling hopeless she moved to san francisco where her family was. months later her father passed away which took a huge toll on the entire mathur family. never one to express her feelings sejal mourned the loss of her father quietly. she never healed from that time and she doesn't think her family did either. as she watched her older sister and mother bicker, following her sister ditiching her wedding and joining the marines. sejal was left on her own to decide what she wanted to do with her life.

reuniting her love for animals sejal studied zoology. with her degree she traveled around different parts of the globe to study animals ingenuous to the land. her research had made her a prominent figure in zoology world. as her studies with animals, primarily african animals had garnered much attraction from sources like national geographic. sejal writes books about her findings working closely with anthropologists. she's a guest speaker and numerous colleges and a ted talk favorite. while sejal loves her job she does feel an emptiness inside her as she was never able to win an olympic gold medal that she promised her dad.

she still keeps up with sports. she loves boxing, basketball, futbol. she's currently very hype about the world cup and will marry mo salah. no joke. but speaking of relationships sejal is really awkward about them. she's tried going on dates, dodged possible husbands from her mom, turns out that... maybe sejal doesn't really like boys. but all this time she liked girls. her sexuality is something she's battling with as she has to consider her mothers traditional values.
