Most people work too much to do anything but consume entertainment mindlessly before going to bed. There are illegal underground fighting rings, but they aren't that popular since you have to know where they are to watch or participate.
As for hobbies, I never thought about hobbies for the characters.
I'd also prefer to not receive any more questions about mundane life stuff, sorry.
Pactbinder - Chapter 4 Release
Hi guys.
Chapter 4 of Pactbinder is now live.
Overall, the content added with this update is again pretty chunky ~117k words added in total.
Total word count is at around 409k words (excluding menus and startup); the average playthrough is probably around 120k words, just under ~30% of total word count.
I do think this chapter will feel faster than the last couple - at least it did for me, when playtesting - I think that's due to a mix of action and branching.
Outside of the content outlined below, I’ve made some substantial reworks again to the menu system, including written flavourtext for the MC's relationship bars with certain important characters. There's also some fun stuff with the Mastery bars which you'll see once you get there.
Some things to look out for in Chapter 4:
Conclude the Pactbinder's first term at Hightower at last.
Take your end-term exams.
Grow closer to a collegemate - potentially romantically. Or spend time with the whole crew!
Delve into Old Hightower.
A reunion.

The Size and Age of Eden City
I don't like to give exact numbers, but EC is about twice as large as Tokyo with three times the metro population. It's not a particularly old city at about 250 years. Space travel was much further along in this universe's 2020s than we are currently, but I haven't worldbuilt the past since it doesn't really come up, ever.
Music
The music that's popular is unfortunately mass-produced, soulless, and formulaic pop music of all subgenres. Good pop music by actual humans is still being recorded, but it's being drowned out by mass LLM-generated garbage that no one actually likes after paying attention to it.
Characters' Music Tastes
Arden will listen to anything with a nice beat and a good hook, but as stated in the first chapter of Legerdemain, is particularly partial to the Eden City Pop Classics station.
Juno prefers underground, politically charged stuff that no one really knows about. This can be rap, hip-hop, rock, metal, grunge; the genre doesn't matter as long as there's a message he can get behind.
Stella only listens to music that came from Earth. There's just something strange and fascinating about listening to stuff from the human homeworld that she's never been to and never will go to.
Yujin only listens to music in Korean and Japanese; the genre doesn't matter, but he absolutely loathes ballads, so he has to really go looking for stuff to listen to sometimes if he doesn't feel like pop in that very moment.
This is far enough into the future that the relationship between Japan and Korea is more of the sibling rivalry type than not-so-subtle hostility. And yes, 'Korea' here refers to a united Korea.
Ángela is similar to Arden: she'll listen to anything, but isn't much of a music lover. When she gets off shift she'd rather put on a white noise machine than listen to music.

None of the ROs have pets. None of them are pet people, and three out of five couldn't afford even afford to own one.

What is the determining factore for who gets treated severity? conection to staff? if there is even treatment availibell? Allso where do they get their funding from?How dose the staff ends up working there? Are there some corporaitons that provide healt care for their workers(probably for the low low price of the rest of their lives) Another qustion how dose acess to transition lock like (Hrt,surgerys, changing id 's) and what is the diference in this regards for the diferent social clases ? Oh another thing entyerly unrelated tobthe previous qustion (my mind is a hungry dog that got lose at a grilling competiton) What is somthing that is genuinly dificult to treat for them ? What is somthing that would make someon dissabeld in this word ? What are acomandations lock like for disabilytis ? What dose society view on disabilytis?

Unfortunately, the state of medicine is something I've spent a grand total of maybe 5 minutes thinking about in the near-decade this universe has existed.
I only worldbuild what's important to the stories I write, and not one character between Legerdemain and the novel will be in direct contact with mainstream medicine, except Ángela, who has no interest in talking about her job.
So, instead of pulling shit out of my ass to answer all of these, I'll only answer the ones I can.

Planned Chapter 1 Changes
Sorry for the delay in writing this up. I have no excuse, just never really considered it. Mea culpa.
MC: Will be swapped out for Theron Velychko's cousin. Given this character is more of a blank slate, this also means you'll have more options for how to respond, socially.
Paradox: Supplanted by Theron, who will not be romanceable for obvious reasons.
kernel_panic: Removed.
Equipment: Replaced with cybernetics options. If you're a fan of the prototype firearm, worry not: you'll still be able to obtain it.
You'll just have to take it off Theron's cold, dead body.
EDIT; Stella: Still on the fence about switching out her profession for something else due to some choices leading to some Unfortunate Implications. I also, frankly, don't think I possess the skill to write a sex worker in properly respectful manner.
