she could see the list from where she stood beside him, ah, it was onions. they normally came in bunches, it did depend as well. she'd need to ask what colour, onions came in a few different colours, the flavour of one depended on what they were being used for.

hana heard what midorima muttered, she knew she had to speak up about this. she knew natsuki would never tell him, her fears and how she was used to people being so cruel towards her just made her afraid of what his answer would be.

deciding to tell him about her worries and fears, she knew her cousin was right to be with midorima. she trusted him, she knew he wouldn't do anything to hurt her. perhaps it was chance that led them together, or perhaps fate?

her look up at him was stern, her grip tightened, she hoped he didn't mind. her hands immediately away from his own, "ah s-sorry midorima." hana apologised, blue orbs looking away momentarily then back.

"i didn't mean to deceive you or anything, i wasn't meant to tell you. but..." she paused, as she cleared her throat "natsuki is my cousin." their mothers were sisters, but clearly her mother was more into sports.

Although Shintarō's mother didn't specify what type of onions, he was aware his mother and sister only used white onions for their cooking. Underneath onions on the list, his mother said that he needed to look for ones that were firm and big.

Shintarō had experienced cruelty from people in the past when he was younger and not as big so he had chosen to shut himself from most people. His relationships with the Generation of Miracles were equally disappointing as most of them had become more arrogant to the point they chose not to participate in practice and got competitive over ridiculous things like who scored the most. He went along with the quota Akashi established but mostly just wanted to perform his role on the team. He didn't care for comparing how much points were scored. He had only wanted to do his part. Takao and Aomi had somehow made their way into his lives and aside from them and Natsuki, he didn't really associate with anyone else.

He personally believed it was fate that he met someone else who was extremely unlucky. She was even more unfortunate than him as her bad luck could affect others while his misfortune only punished him. They were complete opposites but had a few things in common. Their zodiac signs were compatible as fellow water signs but how she could bring herself to still be kind baffled him.

Haruko’s eyebrows rose high.

“I can’t believe he’s that superstitious!” She exclaimed as she started fixing the flowers. “I mean, he looks so serious, one would never believe it. I thought it was more of a weird collection of his...”

She pondered on it as she placed the flowers in the vases, arranging them so the roses would pop in the middle. Weird Midorima, she thought. He looked so plain at first glance if it wasn’t for his weird hair colour; she would have never guessed he could be such an unusual boy.

“I don’t think that stuff is true,” she huffed, going onto the next table. “I think there’s just casual events and a lot of hard work from people’s will. Why would my day change if I brough a rubber duck with me?” She commented with a shrug. “It just doesn‘t make sense!”

Masaru was on the way to get a new vase as Haruko reacted about how superstitious his cousin was. The number of superstitions Shintarō had to live his life by was ridiculous! As for the collection, the Midorima family didn't really get rid of most knick-knacks just in case his cousin needed it as an Oho Asa lucky item.

"He's very superstitious."

Masaru lifted the vase before turning around to transfer it onto another table. After he put down the vase safely in the center, he chuckled. It wouldn't have surprised him if Haruko had seen Shintarō carry his rubber duck with him one day because of Oho Asa.

Haruko was surprised by Saya’s apologies. After all, she had simply been asked to take care of a customerin her place, and Saya had nothing to do with her insistence with Kasamatsu.

“Oh, no, it’s ok! Don’t apologise,” she reassured her with a shake of her head. “I mean, it’s on me, really. Otonashi-sama is right, I should have behaved better...” She lowered her head, ashamed. “I’ll have to stop being so pushy around customers. Sometimes my temper gets the best of me.”

She glanced at the door where they by had just walked out of and let out a pondering sigh.

“How odd, though, don’t you think? Being so unable to speak to girls...” She tilted her head. “I wonder if there’s any way to help the poor guy.”

"I understand, I get angry easily too, but I also don't like fighting. But on the occasion my temper gets the best of me I kind of lose it too. ...Maybe it would help to take some deep breaths?"

After Masaru had his moments where he lost it or was close to losing it, he usually took some breaths.

"Plus, I know your mother's cooking was involved so you may have taken things personally even though the customer may not have meant anything by it. You should probably take a step back to think about whether the issue really involves your mother's cooking or not."

' no wonder , i keep looking for it . i do think mugen academy sounds familiar . ' he absolutely looked sheepish upon hearing where his missing object has been found . ' i was suppose to look for my missing wristband but my schedule is fully booked .'

consider himself lucky , the model realized that he was lucky to have classmates that looks out for him. but again, he was thankful . ' thank you .' he says in perfect japanese . 'around this hour i'm usually swamped with model work . that's why i don't spend most of my free time with my classmates . '

It was hard to believe that Mugen Academy was that well known or was it not hard to believe? After all, a lot of Japanese celebrities attended her school so other people including the model before her may have heard of it especially since fans who were invested in idols and the like tended to dig up information on them. It was a prestigious academy for a reason. It was an honor for her to be attending the school, especially on a scholarship so she wouldn’t burden her aunt to pay for her expenses. Saya replied in her native language.

"You speak Japanese too?"
