it was bound to happen, he saw it too many times to know how this will turn out. he saw it exactly four million, six hundred and five times. yet every time this moment always happen, he had experienced it four million, six hundred and five times, though this would be the first time in this timeline where it happens.

blue eyes stared at green ones, it was filled with a mixture of emotions. desire, need, fear, and lost. he knew exactly what peter was going to say and he nodded his head allowing peter to guide him away from the group. both deciding that their cover story was that they were checking the area and trying to put out some traps for thanos.

he tried to distract himself from recalling everything he had seen, he didn’t want to focus on what’s going to happen next to them. he want to experience this moment, but as peter rested his hands on stephen’s hips, he cannot help but recall seeing the look of horror as he watched the man before him turned to dust.

he watched as peter continue to debate about taking the leap and kiss him. he watched green eyes look back and forth between his blue eyes and his lips. he wanted it despite knowing exactly what’s going to happen next. a hand rested on peter’s cheek as he gave the man a slight nod and they both leaned in with their  eyes closed as lips gentle touched before it became rougher.

it was breathtaking but heartbreaking to the sorcerer, because in the hour he would watch peter turned to dust and there was nothing he can do to save him from his fate. so stephen strange kissed him even more passionately, because all four million, six hundred and five times, still leads to this point and he be damn to not enjoy this moment before it was ripped away from him again.

            “You can’t park here, buddy. Earth is closed today. Take your tractor beam and skedaddle.”

it was a quiet moment of sorts, everyone else was busy with everything else and he had seen peter sitting off to the side. he knows how to spot someone who needed someone. crossing the distance that stood before him and peter, he took a seat next to the man, watching him mess around with a zune. god he felt old seeing such a brand like that, curious eyes glanced towards the screen to see what song the man was listening to.

“that’s a good song. ain’t no mountain high enough by marvin gaye and tammi terrell. from 1967 from the album united. may i?”

he asked as he took one of the ear pieces and listen along to the song. fingers slowly moved its way towards the other man, lacing their fingers together as they continue to listen to the song for a little bit. once the song was over he turned towards peter before placing a gentle kiss on his cheek.

“thank you.”

Well, Infinity War has crushed my heart and soul, so I had to draw some fluff to staunch the flow of tears.

It’s not really helping

I don’t really like how this turned out, but I spent way too much time on it to just not post it.
