I played your game and it was right up my alley. There isn't that many slice of life cog games, so finding yours was very mucha treat.
The first part was a bit dark, surprisingly. However, the mentions of the player dealing with nightmares afterwards was very aporeciated. It showed that trauma was something that leaves it's effects on you.
I really loved the characters, they were very lovable. I love how they're all so good and heroic. Honestly, I have always wanted more heroic/morally good characters (especially since most of the books/ifs I read have mostly morally-grey characters). I like how their good-ness are distinct and different from one another. I also love how MC is morally good too.
AHHHHH I LOVE THIS GAME!!! The romance is a bit slow, but I think that's pretty good since it lets you befriend the characters first. I bonded very well with the orc brothers (I just love R and M so much and picking whose route to choose was so hard) and every character was interesting (love my bookworm girlie and my tall human queen).
Games like these are very rare, and slice of life as a genre is pretty hard to write, but I think you did really good.

If you enjoy the slice of life and romance aspects, I can recommend checking out my Modern Monster Romance series of short stories which I'd consider to be similar, if much less slow burn. I hope you enjoy them as well if you do decide to give them a shot!
Wolfsbane, on the other hand, is a very different kind of story, and there don't seem to be as many people who are fans of both it and RotC. It still has a few of the elements you touched on here, but it might be less up your alley if you're looking for something slice of life/low stakes

Please tell me there is more Ruga. I just loved the story and I was upset it was so short...like its really good. I want to know more about Lacy and Tamaka as well. Maybe im just deprived of good monster romances lol and your's is the best Ive read in a while
That's all the Ruga I have for now, unfortunately, but I'm happy you enjoyed what's there! If you haven't already, I can also recommend doing another playthrough with different choices to get a bit more of him, at least ^^

I just finished Markets & Motorbikes for the first time (I'm gonna go back through to pick some options I haven't seen yet) and I wanted to say that I loved it sooo much, Tamaka and Lacey are so cute together, Lacey in general is just so funny with how badly she wants mc and Ruga to get together (she wants to be in-laws with her bestie and I love that) and Ruga in general is just such a sweetheart! I love how he was such a champ and went along with going to see a nature documentary (I still can't tell if he enjoyed watching the documentary, enjoyed watching mc enjoying the documentary or he was distracted by mc's good looks). I had a good laugh at the part when mc was finally able to give Ruga the purple bead. I thought buying the orange bead for Ruga would've been too bold but I was out here accidentally pre-planning for their wedding!

The documentary is probably my personal favourite outcome among the movie choices as a bird-lover myself, so it's nice to see it getting called out specifically; and I'm equally glad that the bead mix-up had the intended effect! It took quite a few revisions but it was a very fun scene to write haha
