Shane saw a large plaza full of people in black cloaks. Everyone was crying. Three figures stood on the hill in front of this square. One of them was a tall man with blond hair and a crown on his head. Next to him was a little boy, also blond. The man was carrying a boy with bright purple hair and eyes. Shane recognized these people. It was his father, Roy and himself, but from the past.
In the center of the square was a coffin decorated with gold. There were many flowers around, most of them were daisies. A beautiful lady was lying in this coffin...
Shane woke up gasping in the air. His heart was beating faster than ever. He looked around with eyes full of tears. It was early morning, probably 5 o'clock. Shane fell back on the pillow, but after this nightmare he couldn't sleep. He had the feeling that he had seen this scene before. But what was that? Who was this lady? He tried to remember her face, but he couldn't.
Shane heard Roy's voice. He managed to get some sleep. But now he didn't feel well.
"I'm coming" - Shane muttered.
A few minutes later, Shane met Roy in the hallway of the castle.
- Hey brother, it doesn't seem like you. Usually you are the one who wakes me up rushing into my room through the window, - Roy laughed.
- I preferred to sleep, not get hit by you again.
Shane laughed too, hugging his brother.
After breakfast Roy suggested going for a walk. "Well, maybe it can help me to forget about that nightmare" Shane thought. The sun was shining bright. The brothers left the castle walls, accompanied by guards. The people who met them admired the beauty of the two young princes. They were both really handsome, as royals should be. They soon arrived at a huge flower field.
- Roy, this is an amazing place!
Shane lay in the grass, breathing in the scent of flowers. Roy sat down next to him, stroking his brother's hair. They talked about different unimportant things, laughed and enjoyed the warm sun.
Roy looked at the flower Shane had given him. It had delicate white petals and a yellow center.
- Yeah it is, - Roy nodded.
Shane noticed a slight sadness in Roy's eyes.
- Father said daisies were our mom's favorite flowers.
Shane suddenly remembered his dream. Daisies, many white daisies around the coffin. He shuddered.
Shane, barely holding back tears, told Roy about his nightmare. Roy's eyes went wide.
- Do you remember her funeral so clearly? But... How... You were so small you didn't even know what was going on.
Shane sobbed. He snuggled Roy, letting his tears flow. He held a daisy gently, like it was the dearest thing in the world. The only thing Roy could do is to hug his brother tightly and try to comfort him.
