it's not that I need a quiet day or a day off exactly; it's that I need a pocket of time that exists entirely outside of linear time as we know it that would allow me to get things done without time passing in the real world, and frankly, I don't think that's too much to ask.
hiya!! welcome to part two of my heartsteel x reader "creatively charmed" series!!! again, i know that name needs workshopping LMAO. i actually wrote sett's part around the same time as i did w kayn's and that's how i came up w the idea to make it a whole series w all of the characters :D unfortunately, i have to go on hiatus so there wont be any updates for a while :( nonetheless i hope you enjoy ^^
It all started when Sett's mom asked him to run an errand for her and grab some yarn from her usual craft store
That happened to be run by your family.Ā
As you can probably expect, love and skill of the arts and crafts run in the family. For one of your parents, it was needlework and fashion, for your other parent, it was the more practical hands-on crafting; as their child that grew up learning them all, you were a jack of all trades.
Anyways, Sett happily obliged, heading to your store to buy what she needed, but realized upon entering that he had no clue what he was supposed to look for, despite the list giving him the specific yarns she was looking for
Your parents were temporarily out of town, so it was only you manning the store. When you notice his presence, you welcome him. Sett lights up and approaches you for assistance, which you gladly do
Once he got what he needed the two of you make your way to the cash register. You decide to start a conversation by complimenting his beanie and the craftsmanship of it
Sett grins and proudly declares that his mom made it for him, his ears twitching from underneath
Your eyes widen in realization, and ask him whether his mom was the regular vastayan customer you were thinking of, to which he visibly gets excited about and eagerly confirms. You smile, thinking how cute the buff man's love for his mother is, and continue talking about how you enjoy seeing her as a regular customer in the store
This conversation lasts for quite a while until Sett's mom calls him asking about his shopping, reminding him that he was still in the middle of an errand. He sheepishly tells her that he'll be right over with everything she asked for
When the call ends, you hand him his mom's reusable totebag that held all the purchases as he thanks you for your help. Before he runs out the store, he tells you his name and asks for yours, which of course you were happy to tell :)
From here on out, expect Sett's visits to be more frequent. He asked his mom to call him if she ever needed anything more from the craft storeā¦ and then eventually, just asked to do any errand for her in general. He wasn't subtle about wanting a reason to see you, but I mean hey, he does something to help his mom and gets to talk to you at the same time? A definite win-win for him
Also, yes, his mom did figure out about his crush on you. She hasn't outright said that she does, but she does subtly tease Sett from time to time, reminding him to be on his best behavior/remember to be a gentleman or fixes up his appearance before leaving the house. Since she knows you as the owner's wonderful and hardworking child, she already has a good impression of you and quietly approves
Once he finally builds up the courage to ask you out, also expect for it to come with a heartfelt handmade craft of his for you <3 eg. oragami bouquet, crocheted article of clothing etc.
uhm.... so for anyone looking into my blog, just want to let you know that im gonna be going on hiatus due to stuff at home :") so i will be inactive/not posting anything. to anyone who's made a request with me, im very sorry but i will have to put it on hold or discontinue it :( and for heartbeats who were waiting for the rest of my headcanons, that too will be on hold, however, i will post sett's headcanons as i wrote it at the same time as kayn's one so it's already done ^-^

Setting the scene, letās say itās the first time theyāre coming home after the song has released so theyāre really getting your reaction to the finished song for the first time.
Ok letās be clear, all of them would be so flattered and would love this.
Having a supportive partner means EVERYTHING TO THEM.
So even if I donāt put āit means a lot to them to catch you doing this, etcā¦etcā¦, itās still implied.
Aphelios:
Heās had a long day in the studio working with Yone on the next albumās instrumentals after doing a debut music show, so heās very ready to be home with you and to take it easy tonight.
Grins under his mask as he opens the door and hears āParanoiaā blasting on the Bluetooth speaker he got you for your birthday. He knows how much you love to jam to music!
Sneaks to wherever you are, not wanting to disrupt you and absolutely wanting to grab a photo he can send to Alune (after swearing her to secrecy [not that she would send the photo of you to anyone anyway! You and her are good friends too]).
Manages to get an excellent photo of you using the duster as a microphone, a smidge of dust on your cheek.
Youāre so absorbed in your āperformanceā you donāt notice him at all.
Right after you mime the *ding ding ding* of the bell in Settās verse, your smart watch buzzes with a text message.
āI hate to disrupt your award-worthy performance, but what would you like for dinner? (Also you have a little dust on your cheek, cutie.)ā
When you spin around and finally see him, heās spinning his mask on his finger and giving you a sly grin, winking as you gasp in surprise and blush at being caught.
He grabs a tissue and gently wipes off your cheek before giving you a gentle kiss hello.
(I have a headcanon that he would primarily communicate to his partner using sign language)

Seeing you love something he put so much effort and time into really brings him a LOT of pride and will continue to motivate him.
He helps you clean and asks you more about your thoughts on the song.
You were in the studio while he worked so youāve heard parts of it, but you and him agreed that you shouldnāt hear the finished song until it released to the public. It was your suggestion actually. He was ready to let you listen to it early but you wanted to experience the full excitement of waiting for their debut just like everyone else.
Which he LOVED.

He will NEVER LET YOU FORGET THIS.
The SMIRK he has when he walks through the front door and hears the all-too-familiar intro to the song.
And when he hears you RAPPING along with Kaynās part??
NO WAY is he missing this!!
He immediately makes his way to wherever you are and positions himself so he can see you without you seeing him.
Phone camera is at the ready.
Starts recording a video right before the pre-chorus begins and his part starts.
He canāt help but smile as you switch to lip syncing, clearly wanting to hear/focus on his voice.
Youāve told him many times how much you adore his singing voice.
(And heāll never admit to anyone how much hearing you say that means to him but thatās a different story)
It takes every fiber of his being to not reveal himself while heās recording.
Heās about two seconds from giggling.
Records through the end of the chorus before stopping the recording and immediately sending the video to the Heartsteel group chat with all the members and Alune. They all love you so he knows theyāll love seeing the video.
He puts his phone away and plans to sneak up on you. (Lmao sneak up? I mean flash.)
This man is an EXPERT at surprising you.
Flashes right behind you before the second pre-chorus starts and starts singing, bursting into laughter as you let out a surprised scream.
He gets a well deserved pillow to the face for that.
Later Yone texts you and tells you that heās āglad you like the song enough to sing and dance to it throughout your daily tasks.ā
And Aphelios hits you with the ā:)ā
And Ez gets another pillow to the face before bed.
Followed by a kiss because he is POUTING.

Comes home to you cooking dinner for you and him, using the spatula as a mic.
Does THE shoulder lean against the door frame (yāall know what I mean, especially if you read romance novels) and just watches you with the biggest shit-eating smirk on his face.
That smirk only get bigger as the song ends and restarts and you donāt change it, telling him youāve had their song on repeat for who knows how long!
If anything, youāre getting even more into it, starting to dance a little more now and adding some little ad libs while he raps.
Ex: āIf you try to step to me, itāll be the last timeā You *in rhythm*: āFUCK YEAHā
He absolutely loves it.
Honestly youāre making him fall in love with you all over again.
Also gives him the idea to ask Alune if you can help make up the fan chants (although heās sad because he knows theyāll have to be a bit more PG)
Canāt help himself as he lets out a chuckle, giving himself away in the process.
Holds his hands up peacefully as you spin around, ready to throw the spatula if needed.

You playfully, roll your eyes, shake your head, and smile as he comes over and wraps his arms around your waist, kissing you hello.
Heād definitely tell the guys what he saw, but he wouldnāt film or photograph you (this time š).
KāSante:
I get such immaculate vibes from Heartsteel KāSante.
Like Iām a BTS fan (woot woot ARMY) and I get very very similar energy/vibes from KāSante and RM.
Like I do not know what it is, but I would trust KāSante with holding/watching my drink at a club if I needed to run to the restroom. He has that sort of good energy.
I suppose itās theā¦safe? energy??
Absolutely hilarious to use that word considering the batshit things they did in that movie studio.š
But you know what I mean!
And being in a relationship with someone who has this sort of energy would be A++++.
(I know this is a bit of a tangent but I swear itās relevant to the topic)
KāSanteās part in āParanoiaā has that same sort of energy to it. (Itās so hard to explain what I meannnn)
And when he catches you singing and dancing along to his part, the bridge of the song, while youāre folding/putting away laundry, I think heād watch you for a couple moments.
But only a couple.
Heād make his presence known a bit earlier
Because then I think heād come join you! āŗļø
Heād start singing with you and encourage you to keep singing with him.
Heād gently pull you a little closer to him.
And obviously the slower paced part of bridge doesnāt last forever, but even then I think heād still dance with you once the song ramped up with you (hard to explain but think casual dancing with a partner at a club/bar).
It would be so FUN??? Such a fun sweet moment between the two of you.
Heād of course then help you fold the laundry.

Youād keep listening to music with him as you both get some chores done around the house.
Definitely making sure to take time for more dance breaks (duhhhh).

When I first started thinking about this, I thought that Sett would be smug guy #3.
Now Iām not quite so stuck to that idea.
Oh donāt get me wrong, heād definitely hug you and tease you once you saw him watching you and blushed a deep red.
But they would mainly be half-hearted teases.
And internally? You know this man is melting about you and how lucky he is to have you as his partner and how much he loves you.
Sett clearly has such a soft side for the people he truly loves and cares about.
Have you seen how much he adores his Mama???
You are like the only other person who can really bring that soft side out of him.
And catching you already having the lyrics to his verse down 100% is something that would bring that out of him.
Speaking of his Mamaā¦
Sett would absolutely take photos or videos of you.
But theyāre only going to one person.

Though let me say I think sheād be very easy to get along with.

But anyway, he just wants to show off his favorite person to his other favorite person (who also adores his favorite person).
And little do you and Sett know but that just inspired Mama to knit you a sweater that matches the beanie she made that he wore in the MV. As like a holiday present!
(Iām so sorry this one was admittedly a little self-indulgent but I think itās so cute!)
Yone:
Oh this man.
Obviously everyone has worked extremely hard so that Heartsteel can debut. Everyone has had late nights and long days on little sleep.
But as Heartsteelās main producerā¦
(Not to mention band mom!!)
Yone really had a record number of late nights at the studio.
Reworking a passage over and over and overā¦.
And OVER
Until itās right (or until Aphelios/Alune drag him out of the studio at 3am telling him to work on it tomorrow with fresh ears).
And heād never tell you, but you know heās felt really bad about all those late nights. All those nights he wasnāt with you.
Potential dates missed because of deadlines.
Not that you were angry with him or anything.
You love him and you know how much pressure heās put on himself.
And the last thing you want to do is potentially add more pressure on him.
In fact, you and him made a routine the past couple months. Whenever heād have to work on the weekends, youād come over to his studio each night during the weekend and bring a movie/couple episodes of a show and takeout.
And he gladly lets you pull his attention away from work for other media and cuddles.
(I feel like in private Yone would be more cuddly than one might expect of a stoic man like him.)
But during these media breaks??
This tall man was like a damn koala the way he cuddled you (not that you were complaining).
So seeing you sing and dance to the song he producedā¦
Even though the production of this song meant you often went to bed aloneā¦.
Was so fucking cathartic for him.
It made him feel like every sacrifice was worth it. Just to see how happy you were to dance and sing to the song he put so much of himself into.
His expression would be so soft as he watched you.
And after you noticed him and gave him a smile, heād come over and give you a hug, burying his face against your neck.
You are his MUSE, and donāt you forget it.

hi hi~ welcome to the start of my heartsteel x headcanon series "creatively charmed"! sorry, i cant think of a better title atm LOL anyways, this is gonna be a series of the heartsteel band with a lover who's got a creative side to them XD that's all, hope you enjoy! next up will be sett ^-^
Started with another one of days where Kayn decided to go out and wreak havoc by vandalizing everything LOL
When he does he often comes across a lot of grafitti art, this one in particular has a certain style to it
He always lets out a little chuckle when he sees it.
Now, as a fellow artist himself, he is respectful enough to not ruin that person's art, but he does his own grafitti nearby. For him it always includes his HEARTSTEEL icon and if he's feeling good then some song lyrics or a joke
This time, it was shortly after HEARTSTEEL's debut MV released, so when he left to do his usual vandalizing, he wrote "two sides to a story but they never tell my side" with a bunch of doodles. He was particularly proud of this piece, so he was planning to continue working on it the next day
What he didn't expect, however, was for someone to continue the lyrics, with "never been the kinda guy to stay inside the guidelines" written underneath, as well as some art of Kayn's scenes and even a headshot drawing of him from their single's thumbnail
Kayn was surprised and amazed to see it, and broke out into an excited shit-eating grin once he saw the artist's signature that he saw in all their other pieces
"So, looks like I captured this person's heart too. Ever the popular star I am, no?"
And so, he continued the lyrics to his verse, secretly hoping this grafitti artist will continue it again.
Which they did, and gradually, that specific wall gradually filled up with PARANOIA's lyrics from their gradual exchange, even with additional doodles of the other members, Ernest and Rhaast, and some of the funny scenes of the MV
Even mini conversations started with side comments on each others drawings, for example:
"This dog -> true MVP of HEARTSTEEL"
"The dog in the MV? His name's Ernest. (But Kayn is the real MVP)"
"LOL u come up w that name? I can see it tho ngl"
Oh right, this person doesn't know this is THE Kayn Shieda they're talking to
Anyways, this exchange made Kayn excited to come back every time (even his bandmates questioned why he goes out every night looking all excited)
Same with Rhaast actually LOL, but Kayn doesn't let him because he knows how crazy he gets when it comes to vandalizing
"I WANT A TURNNN KAYNNN" "No! I don't need you drawing 100 dicks on the wall again!" "THAT'S HOW MUCH OF A DICKHEAD YOU AREE-"
But alas, all good things must come to an end, after... 2 months, I guess? They had finished writing all the lyrics of the song and the whole wall was full of just HEARTSTEEL PARANOIA. Okay, so that's the end of it then.
Until a paper plane hit the top of Kayn's head. Annoyed, Kayn immediately lifted his head up to the direction it was thrown, yapping angrily at whoever had the fucking audacity to do that
Just as he was about to crumple the plane, he noticed writing on one of its wings, "read me!" Raising a brow curiously, he opened up the paperplane, where it revealed a username with a discord logo drawn next to it, along with your artist signature :)
I love how writing for Kayn gives me the free reign to swear AHAHAHDJSN
