That's a wrap!!

It's hard to believe we've reached the end of the 8th KHOC Week! And this event was just as amazing as all the ones before it. It also ends the Worlds Tour, as next year we're taking things in a fun new direction!

We've absolutely loved seeing everyone's characters again! Each of them are so unique and it's obvious how much every one of you care about them. Thank you for sharing them with us and for creating!

Now I think it's important we take a moment to also thank every mod that makes this event possible!

@amyhayanora - Our Graphics Mod! Amy drew this incredible picture of the mods' OCs, but also did every banner and graphic you see for this year's event! She is one of my dearest friends and without fail, every year she comes to me in June and asks what she can do to help make the event possible again. She's been a huge motivator and confidant through all of this. (Her character is on the far right, Roka)

diggingplotholes - AKA Stranger, is one of our mods over on Bluesky! Stranger is one of the most positive people you'll ever meet. Since I met him, he's been a huge encouragement when it comes to others creating. He steps in wherever he's needed and is a wonderful addition to the team. And he also runs a KHOC Pathfinder on his Twitch! (His character Kuro is beside Roka)

@iridescent-grisaille - AKA Peony, is one of our mods on Tumblr! Peony took this week by the horns and answered SO many posts. We couldn't keep up! Breaks at work, early mornings just waking up, didn't matter how little time she had, she was there finding a post to reply to. She's been a wonderful part of all this! (Her character is Nimue, and she's beside Kuro)

@ornamentelle - The other mod on Bluesky! Orna started on Bluesky but jumped to any social that needed her. You might have gotten a reply from her and you'll never knoooooow. Ahaha! She is someone that has always stepped in when I needed it, even during the past OC weeks where I got it in my head I would handle everything myself. I'm so grateful to have her be part of this! (Her character is Hikaru, and is beside Nimue)

@rainrain9 - AKA Marcie, is the other mod on Tumblr! Marcie is also one of the people that has been here since near the beginning. She is a dear friend that is always on board for my crazy ideas and volunteers herself to help make them possible. She's also a great voice of reason to make sure we keep this all running smoothly! (Her character is Justin, between Hikaru and Hinata)

@hinataoc - AKA Me! I'm the mod that ran the Twitter side of things this year, and hopped around to the other socials as needed. I'm also the one that started this event eight years ago! It's flourished in so many ways since that first OC Week. Each of these friends listed above me are people I met in conjunction with KHOC Week, and my life wouldn't be the same without them. No matter where this event leads, however long is goes, I know that I've met so many incredible people through it that will remain in my heart for years to come. (My character is Hinata, beside Justin)

WHEW That was a lot to get through!

Once again a huge thank you to everyone that participates in this event and makes it possible! With KH4 on the horizon, I hope that our love for Kingdom Hearts just blossoms even further.

⋆.˚ ☾ * KH OC Week - Day 4 - World That Never Was ⋆.˚ ☾ *

The World That Never Was is a special world for Xana. It's both a sanctuary and a prison, a place where both her best and worst memories lie. If it wasn't for her joining Organization XIII, she might not have ever rediscovered herself nor would she have ever learned that she was actually meant to be a Guardian of Light.

This is also the place where she met Xigbar 🖤

Xana hates sleeping alone since she often has nightmares, and Xigbar is a bit of an insomniac so she often crashes in his room. They usually stay up late talking and laughing through the night until Xana finally feels safe enough again to fall asleep 🥹

Here's the timelapse for this piece! I'm still learning how to do lighting so it was a struggle (⁠･ั⁠ω⁠･ั⁠) But the music for this video is actually my newest original song called 🎶 "Ceaseless Souls".🎶 It's a gift for my friend Ashens whose been my Kingdom Hearts RP partner for the past year! It's the main theme for our Xigbar x OC roleplays and tbh it makes me cry everytime I listen to it ಥ⁠‿⁠ಥ I love you, Ash!

(I know timelapses of this length are boring, but if you listen to even a small portion of this song, I will LOVE you forever 😭🖤 It's my favorite piece and I'm so proud of it!)

@khoc-week I made a short comic where Nihila happens to meet Ventus, who accidentally wandered into Halloween Town. The two share a rather cute moment that Nihila records in the Book of Absences* (OC basic infos for newcomers 👇)

*Book Of Absences: the price of using her powers is particularly cruel. Every time she uses her power too intensely or opens her padlock, Nihila moves closer to her original state and gradually loses pieces of herself. She does not only lose memories, but elements of her identity: her tastes, her emotions, her preferences, and the value she gives to things. She may remember an event without understanding why it was important.This is why she possesses a notebook called "The Book of Absences." This notebook is an attempt to preserve her identity and keep proof that she exists.

Day 2 of KHOC Week 2026 - Halloween Town

This one was an absolute joy to challenge myself with for @khoc-week! I attempted to emulate Tim Burton's style and imagined what Hinata would look like if she were to actually change form in Halloween Town. It turned out fairly well all things considered!!

The scene I chose to recreate from my fanfic is when Jack Skellington discovers the Unmade (monsters created by Keres's artificial darkness). Rather than being frightened by them, Jack thinks the non violent variety could make excellent pets for the town.

.˚⊹. ࣪𓉸 ࣪⊹˚.KH OC Week - Day 2 - Halloween Town .˚⊹. ࣪𓉸 ࣪⊹˚.

Halloween Town is one of my favorite worlds in Kingdom Hearts, but I wanted to add a twist to this prompt and include my favorite Disneyland Ride, the Haunted Mansion! 🕸️๋࣭ ⭑

Every Christmas, the Disneyland version gets a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay that has these adorably stupid plants that sing, so I thought it'd be funny if Xigbar tried to 'gift' Xana a bouquet of them just to freak her out. Who says romance is dead?

Xana's outfit is inspired by the Beating Heart Bride from the ride, while Xigbar is just a generic vampire (I'm unoriginal lol). And of course I had to include the evil toys since the duck is my favorite~

Since I'm extra, here's a timelapse of the art piece with some of my original music playing in the background-- 🎶"Shadows of Our Broken Selves" 🎶

A parallel/slight revisit of the piece I drew before khux’s shutdown. Just two friends enjoying one more day together 😌

KHOC Week 2026 Day 1 - Daybreak Town

So this one was a bit of a tough one to figure out as my characters are not part of the Daybreak time. But there is someone on the team who is, and that's @amyhayanora 's character Lupe. He has been trapped in the data realm until discovered by DiZ during the time of Kingdom Hearts 2. After that, his code was reformed in the synthetic Twilight Town, where he joined Hinata's crew as their "guy at the computer".

Lupe has his own apartment in the synthetic Twilight Town, where the crew often spends their evenings with him watching bad movies or staying up all night talking. Lupe loves being part of the team and they love him just as much. He doesn't have many memories of his life back in Daybreak Town. They are faded at best.

Hinata wants to help him remember, as she dealt with memory loss in her past as well. The process is hit and miss, but they have a lot of heartfelt conversations through it and end up closer in the end.

Context of animation: Nihila goes where the balance between light and darkness is threatened. Following Maleficent through time travel, she eventually arrives in front of the MoM

✨Kingdom Hearts OC Week: Day One - Daybreak Town✨

Here's my first art of the week for this event! 🩷 Some tragic art of the day Luxu and my OC, Hanamari, said goodbye. They wouldn't see each other again until the Keyblade War that destroyed everything.

Clutching desperately at Luxu's cloak, tears spilled freely down Hanamari's cheeks as she buried her face in his chest.

"Please... don't go. I don't care what your Master told you," she choked out in between sobs. "Stay with me here in Daybreak Town. Please, Luxu..."

"I'm sorry," he whispered, slipping out of her tight embrace so he could gently cradle her face between his gloved hands. "If there were any other way... I'd take it."

The pain burning in her eyes made it difficult for him to speak, but Luxu knew he wouldn't get another chance to talk to her like this as he stared at her through the shadows of his hood.

"I can't tell you why I have to go or where I will end up, but I swear to you... I'll find a way to keep you safe while I'm gone. No matter where this path takes me, I'll come back to you."

His voice cracked on the final promise since deep down, he wasn't even sure if it was a vow he could truly keep. The Master of Masters' instructions were absolute, and as much as it tore at him from the inside, he knew he couldn't go against the role bestowed upon him.

Not even for her.
