I tell myself you’ve moved on. It’s only been one month since I’ve talked to you and that’s the only explanation I can give myself as to why you haven’t reached out to me. I would’ve thought that by now you would have came to my house and banged on my window until I finally came face to face with you. I thought you would’ve realized how much you love me and how dumb it was for you to have wasted all this time not realizing it. But you haven’t done that. So I convince myself there’s another girl in the world who now gets to hold your hand. Someone who gets to kiss you goodbye and cuddle you during movies. There’s someone else who gets the version of you that I so badly wanted. Telling myself this forces me to accept that this will be a reality one day, even if it isn’t true just yet. Telling myself this allows some logic into this senseless heartbreak.

I feel like everyone is moving on with their lives and I'm the only one that stays still.
