Inconsistencies
Going through the Dungeon Master Guide see the Alchemy Jug. This item gets shit for one of the things it came make....Mayo. Like...a lot of mayo. Surprisingly Mayo is flammable to an odd degree which sparked this conversation.
DM: You all can have an uncommon magical item to start with.
Player 1: Bag of holding please.
Player 2: I'd like a Cloak of Protection.
Me: I want an Alchemy Jug.
DM jokingly: It's for the mayo isn't it?
Me: Actually yes. Mayo can be lit on fire and I plan on making a pyromancer.
DM: You can't just hold a fire to Mayo and instantly combust it.
Me: It's magical fire. I'm more than certain it'll instantly ignite from it.
After arguing for almost an hour I let up and gave in cause it wasn't that deep...even though we wasted an hour fighting about.
Fast forward several weeks and a Vampire Spawn is trying to run off with some holy bones in a sack.
Player 1: I cast firebolt at the sack. *rolls & hits"
DM: Okay, the bag ignites and the bones fall out and are burned ashes. Congrats. You just cremated your objective.
Me: Oh yea. Magical fucking fire can't instantly ignite a goddamn condiment but it can cremate a skeleton instantly.
DM staring at me intensely: Don't start with me.

So freaking cool
There's a special kind of bullshit that involves talking to a friend about getting cancelled on frequently, then getting a message from your boss not even a minute later asking to cancel you interview that was later that day.
Hello would you like to hear something a bit funny
For Easter, my sister and I bought our dear mother a really massive Easter egg. It big. It a big boy. We bought it for her because it looked nice and she likes chocolate, as she is a human being with functional tastebuds, and we thought no more of it. What a wonderful gift, we told ourselves. What good daughters are we.
It is now over a month later, and mum still hasn’t finished it. Every time I go downstairs, she’s sat scooping it into her mouth. She hates it. She resents it. It’s the worst part of her life. She wants it to be over, but doesn’t want to admit defeat. She won’t throw it away. It’s not going to beat her like that. It’s going to be digested. Every atom of that infernal egg must be consumed. And I did this to her. It was I who ruined her. Me. And also my twin, but she lives in England, so I must bear the brunt of her ire.
Which means that my mum has now started to try and force me to help her eat it. It started with emotional blackmail. “If you loved me, you’d help me.” “If you want me to pick you up from work tomorrow, you’d help me.” “If you want to live to see tomorrow’, you’ll help me.” And then it progressed to her literally pummeling me with shards of Easter egg. I would be sitting in the living room, minding my own business, and then I would feel the tell-tale thud of a half-melted piece of chocolate hitting me on the shoulder. “A gift,” she would say. I knew better than that. This was no gift. This was rage. This Trojan horse I gave to my own mother; betrayal has seeped out of it and now it cannot be contained.
And now she has gone a step further, and keeps secreting bits of Easter egg about my possessions. First, she found the lunch I’d made myself for work the next day, and she filled my lunchbox with Easter egg. Fine, I thought, at least that way I have an afternoon snack. Point to no-one, mother; there is no victory here. And then she started to wait until I made myself a cup of tea, and whenever I left the room to do something else, she would surround the half-drunk cup of tea with Easter egg, so that I couldn’t pick up the mug again without noticing the little flowerbed of passive aggression she’d planted around it.
And then today, I came to work and opened up my laptop case, and she has done it. She has taken a plastic sandwich bag and filled it with Easter egg and hidden it inside my laptop case. It’s all melty from the residual heat of the laptop charger. It’s coating my fingertips in a molten, sticky cast of my greatest mistake. Because I am eating the Easter egg. What else can I do? I made this bed. Me. I did this. And I have to undo it. And the only way to do that is to eat the Easter egg. I’m afraid of what will happen if I don’t. I want this thing gone, too. I want it gone so that my sense of joy can return. God, I want it gone.
What a fucking ride
This is an underrated joke
What are they talking about? Sherlock?
Divine Death
Playing through Tomb of Annihilation our party at this time consists of a Human Rouge, Human Fighter (me), a Tabaxi Bard, a Black Dragonborn Paladin (First time player), a Ghost Hexblade, and our NPC Guide.
Our lowest level player character is 2 while our highest is 3. We are currently fighting Pterafolk for the first time. The fight started off as a 9 vs 6. The tides have turned in our favor and is now a 3 vs 6. The following ensues next.
Paladin: I'm going to attack number 2 and use my Divine Smite.
Me: You can, at the cost of another Spell Slot, use a bonus action to add another Smite on top of it.
P: *Thinks it over* I'll do that. I have......Thunderous Smite. *Rolls 16 base*
DM: I was gonna laugh if that was a crit, but you did indeed hit.
Me: Uh, it needs to roll a save, but I don't remember which. *Starts flipping though spells*
DM: *Rolls and starts laughing* Don't bother. It crit failed. So, uh, go ahead and just double all your dice rolls. Which would be....
Me: *While laughing* 6D8 and 4D6.
P: *Rolls 42 Damage*
Hexblade: Dear fucking lord!
Bard and Rouge: *Laughing really hard*
DM: Okay, you hit it so hard it explodes into a mushy pulp throughout the entire cave. It's now like walking through snow, but blood and guts instead.
Me: The Pearly Gates from the heavens engulfed him to try to save him but didn't work.

Mortal Mistake
I'm a first time DM for experienced players. A Halfling Ranger, Half Elf Monk and a Tiefling Monk along with a NPC Gnome Acolyte. They are playing The Sunless Citadel out of Tales of the Yawning Portal.
After fighting and killing Dragon Wyrmling, and losing the Koblod Meepo, the players move to a hallway the the room connects to. They proceed down the hallway to the door on the far side.
Half Elf (OoC): I don't listen to the door and open it.
Me: You open the door to the Goblin Colony.
Half Elf quickly thinking trying to distract them: I have come to release you of your mortal coil!
Tiefling: I quickly cut off Meepo's head and throw it into the Goblin Colony and say, "Yeah, like this guy!" *Rolls crit fail*
Me: Instead of Meepo's head you throw a Goblin's into the room. *Rolls Goblins' fear check as a group and gets a Nat 20* Okay......All the Goblins, even the Non-Combatants, take up arms against you all.
Half Elf (OoC): Even the kids?
Me: Kids, Women, Elderly, ect.
Half Elf (OoC): I close the door and brace myself against it!
Tiefling (OoC): I assist!
Me: Okay. *Rolls* An axe head starts to pierce through the door.
Half Elf (OoC): Oh god we're having a Shining Moment!
Why you should work with Players
We were trying to make new charaters for a 1-shot campaign and the following happens.
Me: I’m going to play a Forest Gnome Artificer.
DM: Okay…wait, the one with the gun?
Me: Yes. Why?
DM: No guns.
Me: But…uhg, fine!
After restarting on my character sheet and introducing both characters present.
Other Player: I’m playing a type of Fey that has recently woken up from a cave and is told by my people to help conquer areas of land when told.
DM: What the fuck. Any way, what is your character?
Me: I am playing a Minotaur Soilder that claims to have been exiled from his people, but is really serving as a spy that relays messages back to his people telling about Towns and Villages worth conquering.
DM: *Banging his head into his hands* How do I stop you two from dying 5 minutes into this? Especially you! *pointing at me* You’re evil as fuck!
Me: If you let me play the Gnome Artificer we wouldn’t have this problem!
"My biscuit"
Characteres involved are a Half Human/Half Aarakocra Fighter (Rachael), Dvati Rogues (Me) (Isaac & Isiah), and a NPC Warforged (Gear).
Beginning of the Campaign Racheal and the Twins ran into each other and accompany each other to the nearest town. Upon arriving all three of them go to one the only two bars in town where we meet the Bartender, Gear. The longer we stay in town the more trouble we got ourselves into, naturally, until we all ended up in Jail, Gear included. In the cell next to us were some people The Twins and Rachael put there when we got into town. The people in the cell were talking about what they were going to do to us when they got out and talking down to Gear and Rachael wasn’t having it.
Criminal: What about you trashcan? What can we….
Rachael (She talks in a Russian accient by the way): You keep quiet now! He not do anything to you! He is good man! Soft and warm on inside, and tough on outside. Sort of like….uh….
Gear: A biscuit?
Rachael: Yes! Like biscuit! He is my Biscuit and he butters me up.
Queue uncontrollable laughing.
TreeF***er (D&D story)
Party composition: Dvati Rouges (me), Human Artificer, Warforged Paladin, Aarakocra Fighter We are roaming through a forest hunting a Cult of Cannible Druids that are controlling a pack of wolves. We get into a scruffle with a few of the Druids and wolves but fight them back. We start to track the remaining Druids to a cave. Before we get to the cave I fell asleep out of game. Not wanting to get my characters killed the DM had them go do something else. Everyone else gets into a fight and gets pretty messed up. Next session my characters show back up and our Paladin asks where they've been. Quickly trying to pull some BS together that probably wouldn't be convincing at all. I say that Tree Nymphs dragged us away for breeding purposes. The DM rolls percentile and gets a 96. Now I'm known as The Treef***er and supposedly going to have a Half Dryad child/children.
Unlucky Rogue
We did a Dungeon Crawl because our guy currently DMing didn't show up. We had A Black Dragonborn Paladin, a Dark Elf Rouge, a Teifling Mystic (Unearthed Arcana), and a NPC Oni. As we are going thru this Zelda like Dungeon we have a few basic traps. The Rogue is able to get them no problem. Then the shit show begins. We discover a bucket above a door way. Thinking it's really simple we have the Elf come up to try to handle it. Rolls low and the falls on her dealing straight acid damage singes most of her hair off. Not to long after we open a door way to a hallway with a Vorpal Blade at the end. The catch? There are spikes going in and out as fast as the blades on a fan. We all know it's a bad idea to even attempt going in there. This dumb Elf Rolls a 1 on an intelligence check and throws parchment in there to prove its an illusion. The parchment falls UNDISTURBED to the ground. Proceeds to walk 5 feet in the hallway and takes 24 D10s. Somehow doesn't die out right. We get her stablized and walking. This Burnt Swiss Cheese looking bitch goes to a pool of magical healing that we've used once and proceeds to drink from it. Appearently every time it's used it becomes a little tainted. This cunt fails her Con save and goes under, falls in the fountain, and proceeds to drown....in a pool of healing and somehow burns her face and loses an ear. We stabalize her and get her walking. Then decides to try drinking the water again! Same song and dance. After we get moving on and after finding weapons and armor she can't use, and a pool of water that isn't tainted we come across a Manticore. This dumb bitch being a Swashbuckler rolls top of the order and rushes it. Gets hit ONCE and almost knocked out by a critical. We somehow beat it without her going down. Two fights later we come across a Formorian that uses it Evil Eye Curse ability and basically turns her into the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Now we have this earless, Two Face, balding, Igor, Swiss cheesed Elf. We find out final objective. Cautious that it might be trapped our Paladin says we should send our Rogue just in case. Its not. Doubling back we go back to the pool of water to help her out a bit. Fails 2 Con saves going under both times! These Con saves are not that hard. Same thing as before, minus face burning and ear loss. All in all, it was a good time, except for the Rogue.
