Rocket is Zuka's adopted child and he's friends with Medkit, the creator of his prosthetic limbs! Subspace has the skills for repairing Rocket's advanced prosthetics as well, and generally I think them having similar disabilities is something they could definitely relate to!

Subspace and Rocket also have very similar gears, both being quite destructive and explosive. Both Subspace and Rocket are able to damage themselves in-game with their gears! Their names also have a cosmic-motif, with Stargazer and Outerspace to match with that themeing!
