I Don’t Know What This Is, Do You?

Mind you, she was hired for a summer seasonal position. Worked for us 5 days and asked for most of August off and half of September. This is literally the only time I need you and you were told that.

Also a notice is not for after you worked your last day. That's just quitting without notice.

Koa and I walked in our local parade yesterday, and when I tell you all this was the best day of my girls life; it's an understatement.

Constant calls of “can I pet that dog!” came from the crowd, lots of “she's so cute!” (as if she doesn't know, Ha!) and hundreds of new friends were made. She had a flag and tinsel as well as a Jayhawk bandanna (it's the right colors) the last photo you can see how exhausted all of the attention made her)

We found a spot 3 blocks from my house to watch the fireworks over the lake. The onese above weren't the big ones, they were a local HOA who puts on a July 3rd show. The 4th of July display were closer and larger. They were so cool I barely took any pictures

I wish I had gotten better photos, but you'll have to trust me that they were awesome.

What has life been like?

Work? Frustrating as fuck. Worst summer I have had so far and it's just getting started. I'll set that aside.

I had a birthday, and Koa was pretty sure the balloon delivered to me was for her. She also became obsessed with a feather. Her 5 am alarm clock never misses and I ALWAYS wake up to her just staring at me from the edge of the bed.

I watched sunsets, planted my first plants in my grandpa's old chicken feeder. I built shelves for mt garage and put together my new office chair.

It's all mundane, but that's life. My guy is traveling for work most of the summer. I miss him wildly, but what can you do?
