One of my witch besties clowned on me earlier today for wearing dyed glass jewelry instead of real crystals. Girl Iâm not wearing genuine crystals as my daily jewelry just for them to fade in the sun. My real crystals are tumbled and in my bra
a neutral reminder that while being a hater can be a fun indulgence you can never find long term happiness by spending your time constantly hating on things and you canât make long term friends if the only thing you have in common is something you both dislike; you need to love and be passionate about things. being petty gets old. you need to be a lover too
The role of beliefs in shifting based on the survey of people who shift on command + personal hypothesis
1) Beliefs: not everything, but a lever among others
Many people claim that believing = shifting. However, according to the survey, the average response regarding the importance of beliefs is around 3/5. This number is very significant and challenges some common assumptions in the community:
â It shows that beliefs are seen as important, but not sufficient or omnipotent.
My personal hypothesis:
Beliefs would act more like an amplifier or a stabilizer â but not as the sole trigger of the shift.
25% of people say the moment they shift is unpredictable.
2) Mindset and belief â same thing
Some people in my data report having shifted without an "ideal" mindset , thatâs powerful.
This breaks several common myths:
â "You have to be positive"
â "You need a high level of faith or confidence"
â "You need to know itâs going to work"
And instead confirms this:
â Shifting can occur in calm or neutral emotional states, even sad or tired ones, if they allow enough letting go.
â Belief is not synonymous with control , itâs not a remote control.
People who are ultra-rational or have a highly active critical mind are not always at a disadvantage. Those with mental flexibility, cognitive plasticity, and an ability to enter altered states seem to be the most likely to shift easily.Even if itâs not an absolute rule, it seems helpful ,maybe working on your mental structures through, for example, meditation, new activities, and learning to let go of ego, could support shifting far more than precise methods or repeated affirmations.
More than 50% of people who shift on command rated the importance of their beliefs at 3 or lower.
3) Role of the unconscious and neuroplasticity
My results , especially those showing successful shifts among people with strong inner dialogue, hypervigilance, or dissociative mechanisms , suggest that:
The unconscious might be more important than conscious belief.
It's a matter of mental architecture, not just conscious willpower.
People who are ultra-rational or have a highly active critical mind are not always at a disadvantage.
Those with mental flexibility, cognitive plasticity, and an ability to enter altered states seem to be the most likely to shift easily.
Even if itâs not an absolute rule, it seems helpful , maybe working on your mental structures through, for example, meditation, new activities, and learning to let go of ego , could support shifting far more than precise methods or repeated affirmations.
58% of people report a strong, constant inner dialogue, showing that having a highly critical mind is not necessarily an obstacle to shifting.
Only 25% say they do not naturally experience altered states of consciousness.
4) Belief â pure autosuggestion.
Tumblr or TikTok discourse often pushes the idea to the extreme that
âwhat you believe becomes real,â like:
âIf you assume youâve shifted, then itâs done.â
But my study shows:
Some people âassumedâ and nothing happened.
Others didnât assume anything consciously⊠and still shifted accidentally.
(Many say that shifting happens unpredictably or that they feel like they are pulled into a reality sometimes without their conscious consent.)
This suggests:
Shifting seems to operate on a deeper level than verbal or mental assumption.
Itâs about creating internal coherence between perception, emotion, and the unconscious , not just repeating âI shifted.â
Testimony from an anonymous shifter #1
In response to the question:
âHave you ever shifted without control, script, or intention ,and if so, describe the experience.â
The feeling? Uh, I guess it was a little exciting, but also unsettling.
I knew I could always shift back for safety, so I wasnât TOO worried, but it felt weird. Basically, I just asked to shift anywhere, I didnât care where. So I ended up shifting to early 1900s London. At first, I thought I was in Peaky Blinders but Iâm not sure, I didnât stay long.It was very disorienting, since I had no digital devices and none of the safety nets scripting usually gives. So after the first day, I left. Normally I include spells etc. in my script, but this time I just went for it blindly. I looked totally different, and people treated me differently too. It was a weird moment, so I donât remember much, but I do remember it felt really strange. The best way I can describe it is like sitting in a speeding car with no seatbelt.
Anonymous testimony #2
Sometimes, I wake up in realities that are neither planned nor intended. Theyâre usually alternate realities (though they vary a lot , sometimes completely different from here). When that happens, I think itâs in that moment that I need time to remember that Iâve shifted and that itâs not my âoriginalâ or desired reality. Sometimes it happens when I intend to change, sometimes even when I donât. These realities feel just as normal as any other.
5) Belief as internal permission
My survey suggests that beliefs:
â Donât necessarily trigger the shift.
â But they can remove mental blocks, like an unconscious green light.
Belief then becomes a kind of permission granted to oneself to leave CR (current reality).
6) Ego: an unstable variable in shifting
Many shifters say they "believe", that they are "ready", that they "think they can do it"... but they still donât shift.
Why? One hypothesis comes back:
â The ego believes it wants to, but another part of the self doesnât follow.
This joins a central idea:
the gap between the conscious mind (ego) and the deeper structures of the brain or the unconscious.
The ego says "I want to shift", but:
â it tries to control
â it fears "losing control"
â it clings to rigid methods or ideals
â it sees failure as a personal threat
Consequence? The more the ego takes over the process, the more it becomes a personal value test, and the less the brain can let go.
7) Advanced hypotheses on beliefs and ego
⎠Here are some hypotheses based on my data + shared experiences:
â Shifting is easier when the ego fades or falls asleep. â This explains shifts under hypnosis, drowsiness, substances, or moments of mental emptiness.
â Cognitive overload seems blocked. â Overthinking "if it works", "if I believe enough" strengthens the ego and self-identification = cr self.
â Useful belief is passive, almost silent. â Itâs a "I allow myself", not an "I must prove".
Only 16% of people say they have a very anchored identity in this reality.
8)The role of the unconscious
Beliefs donât seem to be only mental.
They also live in the body, in emotions, and in unconscious associations.
For example:
A person may consciously believe "I can shift"...but unconsciously associate shifting with fear of disappearing, failure, or loneliness.
(I believe working gently on unconscious beliefs without ego could really help the process, especially through hypnosis or meditation.)
And the opposite:
A person may say "I donât fully believe it"
...but their unconscious is ready, emotions calm, imagination aligned, and boom, it works.
â That explains accidental shifts.
They bypass the ego, will, and conscious contradictions.
9) Emotion as an unconscious trigger
My poll reveals that emotional state has more impact than stated belief.
And not in the sense of "you have to be happy."
On the contrary:
â Gentle sadness, calm solitude, or even fatigue can sometimes open more doors than excitement or euphoria.
Why?
â Because these states are:
âą Low in mental agitation
âą High in receptivity
âą Associated with a temporary dissolution of the ego
These are not âpositiveâ emotions that facilitate shifting,
but low-resistance mental states. (This isnât universal , emotional relationships and other factors may come into play!)
10) Conscious belief vs unconscious belief
Many think that "strong belief" or "assuming" is enough.
But my poll shows:
â some people shift without consciously believing
â others donât shift despite great faith
This strengthens an important idea:
â The body and unconscious believe differently.
Itâs not about repeating or affirming,
but about allowing the inner self to feel total permission.
â Unconscious belief = inner climate, deep coherence. And that second level is more decisive.
The majority of people seem to think that breathing and meditation are the things that helped them shift most easily, perhaps because ego detachment is greater during those times?
Anonymous quotes from the survey, translated:
âI believe that if I fail, itâs because I didnât really want to shift.â
â This shows that conscious will isnât enough, and that non-shifting can be a form of unconscious protection (or other factors).
âI often shift when everything turns black and I come back here without understanding.â
â Dissociation + total mental release = favorable state.
âIâm tired, too many thoughts, but sometimes I shift anyway.â
â Proof that mental chaos doesnât always prevent shifting. Itâs not an exact science.
What if shifting isnât a controlled creation (as some claim),
but a co-creation with a vaster unconscious part of us?â A part of us knows how to do it.
But our ego, our analytical mind, our inner tensions... prevent this natural process.
So:
â Conscious belief is a key
â But emotional and subconscious alignment is the doorway
Emotional stade reported after shifting
What if belief were just an access code?
Maybe:
â Conscious belief is a password for the unconscious
â But if itâs not deeply accepted, itâs like an incorrect code
â You can believe with your mouth, but if the body says ânoâ (through fear, tension, or deeper doubt), nothing happens.
If belief were enough, half of us would have shifted years ago.The true doorway might lie deeper,in the body, the unconscious, and the subtle state of emotional surrender.

just to remind you that your mind cannot comprehend the difference between imagination and memories, so youâre not imagining scenarios from your dr, those are your memories, sweetheart. <3
A quick way to do glamour spells on-the-go would be to bring a pocket mirror with you and draw a sigil or symbol that coordinates with you intention on the mirror over your reflection using chapstick, oils, or just tracing the sign with your finger. You can also say a short incantation over it to strengthen the spell.
â There was no âoh my god i shiftedâ moment. it all felt very natural to me. Youâve existed in your dr since forever, your âcrâ mind doesnât take over when you shift, hence why itâs so natural when you shift.
â Thereâs no right way to shift. Iâve shifted in different ways (sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming, just simply thinking about being there etc). You can shift in any way you like. my last shift i simply went to bed and it happened! Donât get caught up with worrying if youâre doing the right thing and go with the flow.
â You most likely shift by allowing yourself to do it and not forcing it. Thatâs why people are more likely to shift on accident and not when theyâre forcing it because thereâs no pressure. You have either shifted or not. Decide you have and trust yourself.
â Itâs the easiest thing in the world because you do it all the time. When you shift back itâs like âwait itâs that easy?â. Yes, you donât need to affirm 500 times, visualise, meditate. Itâs simply just deciding you are there and trusting yourself.

yeah some people donât believe in reality shifting but some people also donât believe women can orgasm so I stopped trusting other peoples opinions a long time ago
Hey girly girl, how to shift? Like, I can't reach the void state, so that's out. Methods don't work for me, cause I get frustrated and roll over to sleep. Manifesting IDK IT TAKES AGES... and affirming there my thoughts drift off.. and rn I am unmotivated to shift when I try, but I rlly do WANT to go home. âčïž
ăăăăăhow to shift : your all-in-one guide
ăăăăăă(the only things you have to knowâŠever!)
ăăăăăăăăăăăăăăăÖŒ  ă*ă Ë ă àŒ
â ok first of all, deep breath. shifting is not as elusive as it feels right now, i promise. itâs not some mythical beast youâre trying to tame; itâs more like inviting a very old friend into your space. shifting is already yours. you just have to grab it like a divine right. because it is  .  àŒÂ ËÂ
i , what even is shifting? shifting is the art of moving your consciousness from one reality to another. itâs not magic, itâs not luck, itâs just focus and belief wrapped in a little cosmic bow. think of it like choosing which movie to watch. youâre the one holding the remote.
ii , forget the void for a sec : the void state is not the only way, nor is it the end-all-be-all. think of it like one specific door in a house with infinite entrances. if the voidâs being dramatic, just walk around it. shifting doesnât need that kind of fanfare. you can shift in any state: sleepy, frustrated, even mid-yawn.
iii , methods, shmethods : methods are tools, not rules. if youâre trying one and itâs not vibing with you, ditch it! think of methods as cute little recipes; if you donât like what youâre cooking, toss in your own spices. and guess what? you donât even need a method. your intention is the main character here, and everything else is just the supporting cast.
iv , manifesting doesnât have to take ages : manifesting isnât about sitting there like a monk waiting for enlightenment. itâs like planting seeds: you plant them, you water them, and then you trust the sun to do its thing. start small. affirm gently. even a passing thought like, âugh, iâm so over this realityâ is a mini-manifestation in itself. youâre building the vibe brick by brick.
v , affirmations are your sneaky little sidekick : if your thoughts drift, let them. youâre not running a military bootcamp in your brain. affirmations work even when youâre distracted because theyâre sneaky like that. say them casually, like youâre humming a song. âiâm already thereâ or âitâs happening now.â keep it simple and breezy.
vi , unmotivation nation⊠weâve all been there : listen, shifting doesnât demand motivation; it demands surrender. the kind of surrender thatâs like, âok, universe, you win. take me where i need to go.â youâre allowed to rest in the in-between. youâre allowed to feel blah. youâre allowed to be human and divine at the same time.
vii , you already want it? guess what. itâs yours : wanting to go home is half the battle won. the desire is your proof. itâs like your reality is already calling you, whispering your name through the veil. stop thinking of it as trying and start thinking of it as returning. you donât try to breathe, do you? you just breathe. shifting is the same.
ê° basic steps, simplified :
â set your intention : decide where youâre going and get crystal clear about it. script it out if that helps.
â prepare your space : make your environment cozy. this isnât mandatory, but it helps set the mood.
â choose a method or freehand it : julia method, raven method, bla bla bla method, affirming till you fall asleep, visualising, just vibing, itâs all valid.
â focus or daydream : picture your DR, feel it, or simply say, âiâm already home.â
â surrender : let go of the pressure. relax into the process. let the universe work its magic.
ê° some final tips :
â romanticise the process : make shifting feel dreamy, not stressful. light a candle, sip some tea, wear your favourite socks. vibe check your environment.
â detach from the outcome : this isnât a college exam; you donât need an a+ in shifting. let the energy flow.
â sleepy shifting is underrated : drifting off with your DR in mind? chefâs kiss.
â turn frustration into power : that âuuuugh why isnât it workingâ energy? channel it into something fierce. youâre the god of your reality. act like it.
that's it. that's literally it. you don't need ANYTHING else except your mind. bam.
remember, youâre not chasing shifting. youâre already holding hands with it, swaying gently in the wind like a little cosmic dance. shifting isnât something you achieve; itâs something you allow. youâre the prophet of your own life, the controller of the sands. so go forth, messiah in training, and shift like the world is your oyster. because it is.
reality shifting isnât hard. youâve been told itâs hard because everyoneâs too scared to admit itâs not. they cling to their 800-step methods, their must-have crystals, their perfect conditions because they think that if they let go of that control, theyâll fail. but hereâs the thing: the more you try to control the process, the more you convince yourself itâs out of your control. and thatâs the problem. thatâs why so many people feel stuck. shifting isnât some big, far-fetched thing. itâs just you. itâs always been you.
weâre conditioned to think weâre powerless. think about itâschool, work, society, all of it drills this idea into us that everything has to be proven, earned, validated. so, when you hear about shifting, your brain freaks out and says, wait, wait, this is too easy, this canât be real. and then you spiral. you overcomplicate it. you make yourself think you need the âperfectâ script, the ârightâ subliminal, or that you have to meditate for three hours while the stars align perfectly. like, no⊠you donât. all of that? itâs fluff. itâs noise.
at its core, shifting is belief. just belief. no, really, let that sink in. you donât need to âdoâ belief perfectly. itâs not something you master through sheer willpower. itâs something you already have. youâve believed in things your whole life. you believed in gravity without needing proof. you believe your favorite songs are beautiful without needing to explain why. belief is natural. itâs effortless when you stop overthinking it. thatâs the energy you need to bring to shiftingâtrust. trust that your mind knows what itâs doing, and that if you let it, it will take you there. every single extra thing you pile on? the overthinking, the doubt, the need for guarantees? thatâs whatâs slowing you down. not the âlack of progress,â not some mythical âblockââitâs you convincing yourself itâs harder than it is.
and letâs talk about social media for a second. oh my god, the shifting community on social media⊠i get it. itâs comforting to see other people on this journey. but letâs be honestâhow much of that content is actually helping you? like, really? 90% of the time, scrolling through shifting advice isnât inspiring; itâs overwhelming. everyoneâs got their own opinions, their own âbest methods,â their own rules. one person says scripting is a must, another says itâs a waste of time. one person swears by affirmations, another says visualization is the only way. and before you know it, youâre sitting there questioning everything you thought you knew, wondering if youâll ever get it âright.â spoiler alert: you already know how to shift. you donât need a thousand voices telling you what to do. in fact, the more you listen to them, the harder it becomes to hear yourself.
take a break. seriously. log off the apps. give yourself space to breathe and think. ask yourself: why do i want to shift? whatâs stopping me? what feels right to me? no tiktok trend, youtube guide, or reddit post can answer those questions for you. only you can. and i know that sounds scary. weâve been conditioned to think we need external validation for everything, but shifting is a deeply personal thing. you donât need a step-by-step tutorial. you need to trust your instincts. thatâs it.
and let me be clear: iâm not saying methods or subliminals are bad. theyâre fine if they help you feel aligned. but theyâre not what makes shifting happen. you are. methods are just tools. if you use them, great. if you donât, thatâs great too. because the truth is, shifting isnât about doing things âright.â itâs about letting go of the idea that you need to.
so let me break it down for you. the only things you really need to shift are:
1. a desire. you have to want to go to your desired reality. no brainer, right?
2. belief. this is the big one. you have to trust itâs possible. no âwhat ifs,â no âbut hows.â just trust.
3. persistence. if it doesnât happen right away, thatâs okay. donât give up. if youâve ever learned to ride a bike, you know that falling doesnât mean you canât do itâit just means youâre learning. shifting is the same.
thatâs it. no fancy rituals, no endless research, no âperfectâ conditions. the process is simple because itâs natural. youâve probably done it before without even realizing itâ the only reason it feels hard now is because youâve convinced yourself it has to be.
stop making it harder than it needs to be. shifting isnât this unattainable, mystical thing reserved for âchosen ones.â itâs something anyone can do. you can do it. your mom can do it. that anti-shifter lurking in every crevice of shiftblr could do it. youâve always been capable. but you have to stop getting in your own way. stop doubting yourself. stop relying on others to tell you whatâs possible. this is your journey. own it.
and above all, be patient. shifting is not a race. itâs not about how fast you can get there or how perfect your dr is. itâs about trust, intention, and focus. log off, tune into yourself, and let it happen. shifting has always been yours to claim. itâs not something you need permission for. itâs not something you need to earn. itâs just you, your mind, and your belief. always has been, always will be.

warning! this is a curse, so if this isnât your thing then please, keep scrolling. for those that are still interested, hereâs a tutorial on how I personally have made a curse on a very hurtful person⊠with pictures. ;p
so! all good curses start with some herbs. these pictured, are the ones youâll need for the inside of the poppet. pictured as well are some black thread and a pen and paper, some sharp things (rusty nails, glass, etc) and what isnât pictured is fabric.
additionally, youâll also need a tag lock of the person, to which I used cut up photos of them that I cut one by one.
then youâll need to make your poppet! I hand sewed this one (im sure its obvious, but it doesnât need to look pretty, i promise) and while I was doing that (and filling it) I was thinking about all the hurtful things theyâve done to me, and how I want them to feel that in return. that little paper with the eye; thatâs a letter I wrote expressing how i felt. I folded it up and drew an evil eye on it (to promote their negativity coming back to them), and stuffed it in the head of the doll, so that person would always be thinking of that situation. now sew the rest of it closed.
now youâre going to drip red wax over the edges of the outside of the stitching and over the head and chest. then youâll sprinkle some cayenne powder over the wax, followed with crushed red pepper. after that, seal it with some black wax, and youre done!
since this isnât safe to bury outside, i recommend putting it in a small box or container that you donât care about anymore, and keep it hidden somewhere dark and out of sight. dont think about the poppet or that person anymore!
