Europe is currently being burned alive and people still think climate change is a joke. It’s warmer in North Europe than in the middle eastern deserts.

Nearly all northern countries broke their decades old heat records this week.

If you’re gonna have an ignorant American attitude then please only stay on American posts. No one in North Europe has an AC in their houses. Stores, animal shelters, elderly houses, no one has AC. the houses are designed to keep the heat in. The people are not accustomed to the heat. A sudden climate shift like this is extremely dangerous to older people and babies specifically.

There are programs being run to inform elderly people what to do to not die in this heat. There was a heatwave in the Netherlands in 2010 in which approximately 500 more elderly people passed away than normally.

One thing people don’t often appreciate is that the southern US states are along the same latitude as the Middle Eastern deserts, rather than northern Europe. We’re not competing with Texas, we’re competing with northern Canada. If Saskatoon can’t handle Mexican weather, London can’t handle Middle-Eastern weather. It’s not built for it at all.

The Fake RSVP

As is so common in this fandom, we have more false information from someone trying to stir up more chaos. The RSVP to Eric’s wedding from the Knot is fake. Let me give you a just a quick rundown of the facts:

Would Eric and Luis’s wedding page would include:

Grammatical errors

No professional photos

An insanely large guest list for a destination wedding

The ability to RSVP for literally anyone

A very vague how we met story

All the people on the guest list are everyone that Eric follows on IG.

A barbecue for a wedding in Spain

You can only book the hotel one week before the wedding.

Photos are all off of Instagram

The link to hotel requires a code to book which you would get with a legitimate RSVP. I’m sure there are people out there who won’t believe me and that’s fine. And if you want to continue to believe the Scott and Jackie farce go for it. I’ll leave you to the mercy of the trolls. But don’t for a minute think that all of this fandom has fallen for this crap or that I’m one of a very small group who don’t buy it at all. I’m sure there are many others out there that will back me up on this.

@trixenfic is a master of the genre but wandering summer breeze (who is sadly gone from the fandom) also wrote some excellent RPF. I haven’t read any new RPF since the early last year so I can’t comment on any of the newer stuff.
