❥ 4 JUNE 2026 | 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 has released a personal statement following her visit to 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 in Withington, Manchester.
The Princess's visit was aimed at highlight the healing power of holistic care, alongside clinical care, for people living with and beyond cancer.
In a statement released via Kensington Palace socials, she said :
❝ The Thank you to everyone at The Christie for such a moving visit today.
Meeting patients, families and staff was a powerful reminder that healing is about so much more than treatment alone. A cancer diagnosis affects every part of life, in mind, body and the deeper part of ourselves. The way we process fear, uncertainty and change is deeply personal.
The Christie’s commitment to holistic care, from art therapy and wellbeing spaces to emotional and spiritual support, helps people navigate not only illness, but the profound impact it can have on quality of life. These services empower patients to play an active role in their recovery and wellbeing, reminding us that care should always be centred on the whole person.
Thank you for sharing your stories with me, and for the compassion, creativity and dedication shown every day across the hospital.

If you’ve been living under a rock and somehow you still haven’t seen the last episode of Outlander, stop reading. I’m giving you plenty of space. Okay. I was not! Expecting! That! And as a fan of the books since well before the fan base knew who @samheughan was, since people were debating the merits of Chris Hemsworth vs their own perfect-for-the-role boyfriends as Jamie, since before wonderful @caitrionabalfe was perfectly cast as Claire - I’m devastated. This mass visceral reaction to the events of a series, this is gold for the show runners and for @Starz - but still. I would have been fine with Jamie and Claire living forever (or at least beyond the scope of the series) - what do you think that last instant meant, btw? And Fergus! Why did Fergus have to die?! Being such a huge fan of the books, shooting the cover story for @televisionacad was a dream. Sam and Cait’s energy together made this an unparalleled day. This will be the last time (really!) that I share anything from this shoot; these are all outtakes (except for the last one, which I didn’t shoot). It’s been said a billion times, but bravo to the casting directors - Sam and Cat were perfect for these roles. Thank you for making this beautiful piece of storytelling for eleven (!!!!) years, and thanks especially to @diana_gabaldon for her huge talent, her deep research, her complex weaving of science and history and magic, and her romantic heart. And thanks as always to the wonderful team at Emmy! (It seemed especially appropriate to choose a track by my brilliant Scottish songstress, @angelamccluskeymusic - someone else who should have lived forever. ) Creative Director - @bleiweissdesign Photo Director - @rosecefalu Stylist - @alejandrovision Sam’s Groomer - @nelliechristine Hair - @garethbromell Makeup - @fabiolamakeup Location - @thebobbyheller #outlander #starz #samheughan #caitrionabalfe #emmy 3 h

OUTLANDER (2026) 810 01 The Fiery Cross
For the last time, Jamie lit a fiery cross to summon the clans of Frasers Ridge to battle. A newly sewn flag for an independent America hung over the door of the Masons Lodge.
Solemnly, silently, the assembled men watched it burn before answering the call.
“Je suis prest,” said The Fraser, quietly. I am ready.
“TÙLACH ÀRD!” shouted The MacKenzies. High hill!
“Air adhart le sealbh agus lìon an làngaid!” shouted The Murray for Fraser. Forward with good fortune, fill the laggard!
“Fulaing le treuntachd!” shouted another man, for Fraser of Lovat. Endure with bravery!
“Aut pax aut bellum!” shouted The Gunns Either peace or war!
Drawing his sword, James Fraser shouted Lovat's "Caisteal Dhùnaidh!" For Castle Downie!
The Scottish men answered it, "Sluagh-ghairm!" Battle cry of the dead!
And they continued shouting with Jamie, his sword held high. It wasn't just his own life. Some of these men were going to die.
