1. super fast sketch! haha you can tell akira was a bit of an afterthought… originally it was just going to be goro + morgana 

2. the amount of sketches i do depends on how confident i am in the posing - sometimes i don’t do a sketch and just do the lines outright, but usually i do one sketch > lineart 

except for this one i did two sketches bc the first one was pretty bad

3. lining process! i usually change a bunch of stuff like pose/expression as i go along… ummm i guess it’s probably best to make those sort of changes in the previous stage but i just can’t be arsed with investing any more time into rough sketches LOL 

oh yeah and i just use a round pencil brush for my lines ^^

4. after the base colours i colour parts of the lineart using a clipping mask just to make it pop a little more!

5 + 6. i like to use a mix of hard/soft colouring for light + shadows so i do that and then i add final colour adjustments! which is usually just an overlay layer or something of flat colour at like 5-8% opacity to give the palette a bit more harmony
