Summary: Light Yagami's behavior has always been a problem: half performance, half pain in the ass. Four months into Light's permanent, punitive exile, L finds himself missing the latter half.
AN: At long last, I present to you...my @lawlightzine fic! I've always liked L and Light's interactions best when they're butting heads like the all-INT-no-WIS dipshits they are, so when I was accepted into the zine, writing a spiritual sequel to the Yotsuba Arc fistfight was the very first idea to spring to mind. The original working title for this fic was "You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison" (as a nod to the fact this AU diverges from canon at the same point as TIHID), but forcing the zine mods to try to make that long of a title look nice on a printed page felt mean. The new title fits the finished fic better, I think...but I do still mourn the MCR reference!

i keep seeing people share awesome art and fics saying it's their contribution to the lawlight zine. however i am dumb and can't tell if it's simply them reposting their work for the zine or if the zine is restarting or something jfjd-
if the answer is the former, do you guys ever plan on doing another zine event in the future?
Hi there! Thank you so much for your interest! It is the former :) Our contributors are posting their full pieces for the first time (instead of just their previews) for our existing zine.
There are no definite answers yet, but our team is discussing the possibility of creating a second volume of the zine. 🙈 Whether that happens depends on different factors such as our own scheduling or if there is sufficient interest for another Lawlight zine. Definitely stick around past leftovers because if we do spin into a new project, we will certainly promote it here!! ❤️💙
