Nasha's powers
Sonic Manipulation (Voice-Based Power)
Whisper - disorienting hum
Raised voice - concussive blast
Scream - shockwave that shatters surroundings
She can weaponize silence - dampen or completely erase sound in an area.
She can manipulate sound at a very precise level
If she does go offensive:
She can release focused sonic force through:
a whisper - precise, internal disruption
raised voice - short-range concussive burst
Sonic boom scream - this takes the most energy. She practically never does it
Range & Mechanics
Her power is strongest when:
She is within close to mid-range
She has a clear line of sound to the target
The environment allows sound to travel - enclosed spaces amplify her
Limitations & Drawbacks
Concentration-Based
Multiple targets - harder to maintain precision
Distractions or emotional spikes weaken her control
Large open environments weaken her abilities
Soundproofing/ white noise
Sensory Feedback
She feels sound.
Loud environments can overwhelm her
Sudden noise (explosions, alarms) can disrupt her control (But usually she can control that too. She learned how to control her hearing as well, so this one can be less effective against her)
Using her power extensively can lead to:
migraines
temporary hearing distortion
sensory overload
nose bleed
The science:
Sheâs not âcasting spellsââsheâs manipulating pressure waves
Her âquietâ could be her canceling those waves before they reach the ear
create an inverse wave to erase sound (this is what noise canceling headphones do)
Low frequencies â felt in the body (rumble, dread)
High frequencies â sharp, irritating, painful
Every object has a natural frequency. Match it, and it vibrates more and more. She can disrupt internal organs, knock someone out without visible damage.
Directing sound: isolate one person in a room full of people, whisper to someone across a distance without others hearing
Sound also travels through bone, she can affect eardrums and even if someone covers their ears.
When people are in near-total silence: they become disoriented, they start hearing internal sounds (heartbeat, breathing), it can cause anxiety or panic.
having a hyperfixation is both a blessing and a curse
THE BOYS || 5.08 "Blood and Bone"
Nasha Rosewood story line in The Boys
Before S1 of the Boys:
Nasha first manifests her powers at age 9.
Her family is initially stable and financially comfortable due to their voluntary involvement with Vought, which quietly sponsors early supe development programs. However, over time, her father develops a gambling addiction, and the household becomes increasingly unstable. Arguments become frequent and intense, creating a stressful environment for Nasha.
During one of these arguments, something unexpected happens: Nasha instinctively produces a calming sonic frequency that de-escalates her parentsâ conflict. This marks the first emergence of her abilities: sonic manipulation tied to emotional regulation.
At first, the family sees her power as a miracle. She learns to reduce her own distress through controlled sound patterns and unintentionally influence emotional states of others nearby
Her mother, recognizing commercial potential in her, begins pushing Nasha into Vought-adjacent youth pageants and performance programs similar to early-stage hero entertainment circuits. Nashaâs abilities make her singing unusually affecting, her voice can literally alter emotional perception in audiences.
She becomes a rising figure in Voughtâs hero-entertainment pipeline and later attends Godolkin University, gaining popularity as both a performer and developing supe.
After graduation, she is formally integrated into Voughtâs brand system as a pop idol-hero hybrid. She is marketed as âSongbirdâ, a wholesome, emotionally uplifting national figure.
She fell in love with a good man, and by the age of 27 she had a small family. Working still as a singer, they lived a quiet, personal life. Around this time she has already heard of Homelander, the new member of the Seven, and he said to be incredibly powerful. She got see him time to time in different Vought events.
Vought orchestrates a staged crisis designed to publicly debut Homelander as a savior. The situation is controlled in appearance but unstable in execution. Nasha and her family are unintentionally present at the site and are not informed of the operation. During the event Homelander becomes overwhelmed and overreacts, structural damage escalates into a building collapsing, and Vought prioritizes narrative control over evacuation transparency Nasha attempts to use her abilities to stabilize panic and help survivors, but the situation spirals beyond her control. Her husband and son are killed in the collapse. Vought later classifies the event as collateral damage caused by âterrorist activity,â suppressing the truth of Homelanderâs involvement. Nasha does not immediately learn the full truth, but she leaves Vought shortly after, emotionally shattered and increasingly distrustful of the organization.
She withdraws from public life and relocates to a rural area, abandoning her âSongbirdâ identity.
Season 1
She doesn't show up in S1, but her posters and some name dropping happens.
Season 2
Still absent, but her name resurfaces through Starlight, who recognizes Nasha as a potentially valuable ally.
As Starlight becomes a key part of the Boys team, she begins investigating early Vought incidents, discovering inconsistencies surrounding Homelanderâs earliest public operations, including the event tied to Nashaâs family.
Season 3
Her first appearance. at the end of S2, Starlight eventually locates Nasha and reveals partial truths about the incident involving Homelander and Voughtâs cover-up. This, combined with mounting pressure against Vought, convinces Nasha to re-enter the conflict.
She is positioned by Starlight as a covert asset, primarily suited for infiltration support, crowd de-escalation, non-lethal supe control.
When Nasha joins, she keeps a neutral to good relationship with everyone at Vought and in the Boys team. When she first meets with the team, Butcher is very untrusting of her.
Nasha does not undergo major ideological change here because she has already experienced her moral collapse during her family tragedy. Instead, she functions as an emotional stabilizer within the team and a quiet counterbalance to Butcherâs escalating brutality.
She recognizes early signs of Butcherâs deterioration through using Temp V, and while she does not oppose him outright, she begins to emotionally distance herself from his methods.
Nasha meets Ryan during his isolation phase. Her maternal instincts surface, creating a brief emotional bond. She understands Butcherâs decision to distance himself from Ryan, even if she does not fully agree with it.
Nasha is being used as a tool in Vought. Homelander orders her to work as a spy to emotionally control crowds.
She is getting closer to Butcher in some ways. He doesn't push her away like he used to. She would catch Butcher in a really bad mood sometime, thoughts out of control. She would offer to help with her powers. Butcher refuses. In a mission Butcher is getting out of control and MM asks Nasha to calm him down, she obeys. Later Butcher and her have a conversation that she should not have done that. She crossed a line. But in reality Butcher did like they way it made him feel finally he wasn't hunted. In a quiet moment, where the two of them become vulnerable, maybe Butcher sees her calming herself down after her trauma surfaces, he asks her to help him as well. She refuses. She tells him that he can work through this without her powers. She had enough of controlling people. She believes in him. (Later as Butcher is spiraling even lower, she still chooses not to use her powers on him)
Nasha aligns more closely with Starlightâs philosophy: rejects Soldier Boy plan, rejects lethal escalation as default solution, begins questioning all institutions manipulating her.
She remains at Vought temporarily but with growing internal conflict.
Starlight quits Vought with the video she uploads. Nasha stays at Vought.
Season 4
She works with Starlight to help calm crowds down. In the rise of political violence, and how Starlighters and Homlanders treat each other, she is a great weapon to use against Sage's plans of creating chaos.
At one point she realizes that this is not the way to do things. She doesn't want to control people, it's unethical. Even if it's the most powerful tool against the riots and chaos.

Too Close to Fake It (Nasha x Butcher) (The Boys x OC)
The undercover infiltration to Vought.
(This is around after S3, letâs just ignore probably everyone at Vought knows Butcherâs face.)
(2 OCâs appear in this fic, Nasha, my oc, and Ophera, destiny_rahlâs oc)
MM and Hughie are hunched over the blue print of the Vought gala event starting soon. Discussing the plan again. Butcher is standing at the side of the table and Frenchie nagging him about putting on his disguise.
âCome on, mon ami! The gala has already begun. Do you need help with tying a tie?â
âI know how to tie a bloody tie, mate.âÂ
Itâs already dark outside, the gala has already begun. Starlight is ringing Hughieâs phone.
âHey, when will you guys get here?â
âSoon. Butcher is being a baby about putting on his suit and not sure where Nasha is.â
Then the door to the Grewal & Co. Import & Export office creaks open.
Nasha leans against the door frame, already dressedâlong black silk, minimal jewelry, and high heels. No suit. No symbol.
âReady?â She says.
A beat, before anyone starts talking. The boys just staring at her. This is the first time they see her so dressed up. Usually she is just in her hero suit or regular clothes, which never fit her body so sleek, showing off her curves.Â
âMon dieu⌠you look magnifique.â Frienchie is the first to finally speak up.
âThank you, Frenchie.âÂ
Butcher turns away a bit and starts putting on his suit jacket. As he puts on his tie, Nasha walks up to him and starts tying it for him. Butcher is surprised but doesnât show it. She is close to him. Close enough that his eyes wander around her collars a bit.
âWow, you didnât even try a little to clean up, huh? Iâm supposed to look like I have standards. Youâre not helping.â
They can hear Frenchie and Hughie let out a snort.
âRelax, luv. Anyone asks, Iâll tell âem youâve got terrible taste.â Nasha letâs out a little laugh.
âTry to look like you belong there, ok? Or at least like you donât want to kill everyone in the room.â She says as she is pulling the tie through the loop.
âNo promises.â He scuffs. She finishes the tie and adjusts his suit where it doesnât need to be adjusted, and lets her hand lay on his chest.
âThis is going to be a fast, in and out mission, right? No going out of line. Just quiet.â She looks up at him, saying it like a warning. Butcher lowers his head just a small amount, looking at her hand still on his chest.Â
âYeah. Quiet.â Then he turns away, letting her hand fall.
â-----------------
Vought doesnât do subtle. The gala is covered in drapery, decorations of flowers and gold. The pompous attitude and money is basically dripping off of everyone attending.Â
Nasha and Butcher take the red carpet covered stairs into the main event where Starlight was waiting for them, wearing her own, white gown with gold decorations. She walks up close to Nasha as they pass through the doors, and without looking at her,
âWest wing. Two rotations of security. Donât improvise.â Annie says. âWhereâs the fun in that?â Butcher says, under his breath.
âIgnore him.â Nasha rolls her eyes. Annie gives Nasha a look of âbe carefulâ and walks towards the east wing.Â
Nasha and Butcher keep their pace and start to make their way through the crowd to the west wing. She steps in beside him, without asking for permission she slips her hand into the crook of his arm, light but deliberate.
âSmile,â she murmurs. He doesnât. âWhy?â âBecause you look like you want to kill someone.â He tilts his head, scanning the room again. âGive me a minute.â Her fingers press into his biceps as a warning. He lets her guide the pace, just enough that it looks natural. Like heâs following because he wants to.
âGlad you could make it!â a charming voice calls out from behind them. Itâs Ophera, another member of the Seven. She is adorned in her usual gold and ruby red, shining like the gem of the gala. Itâs like she materialized from nothing behind them, not even Nasha could hear her footsteps behind them.Â
Opheraâs gaze moves, slowly from Nasha to the man next to her. It settles on Butcher and stays there a beat longer than polite.
âHavenât seen you in a while, dear.â she says to Nasha. âI was starting to think you were avoiding me.â âIâve been busy.â Nasha says, controlled, not giving away she has tensed up. Butcher felt her slight jump when Ophera called out to her. Making him immediately suspicious that someone who is a spy with sound based powers was caught off guard by someone.Â
âI can see that.â A small glance at their linked arms. Butcher tilts his head slightly, playing along already.
âYou always had⌠very specific taste,â Ophera continues, eyes on Butcher. âThis feels like a deviation.â Nashaâs voice is even, âItâs not.â âReally?â A beat. Ophera gestures lightly toward him. âThen you wonât mind telling me what he is.â What, not who. Butcher lets out a quiet breath through his nose. âFlattered,â he says. âDidnât realize I was that hard to place.â Ophera doesnât take the bait. Not yet. Sheâs watching Nasha, waiting. Not in suspicion, just curious. She is playing with them.Â
âHe is with me.â Nasha forces a smile out.
Ophera cocks her head a bit and with a crooked smile she say, âThat doesnât quite answer my question, love.â she giggles. Butcher shifts slightly closer to Nasha, just enough to reinforce the illusion.
âMeans she hasnât got rid of me yet,â he says, with a half smile, sounding proud of himself. âTemporary, then?â Ophera asks. Nasha doesnât miss a beat. âYes.â Butcher huffs and looks down at Nasha with a clearly fake hurt facial expression. âYou wound me.â Ophera smiles faintly, but her eyes sharpen. âTemporary is not like you.â she says to Nasha. âHeâs useful.â She says quickly, in a straightforward tone.Â
âYouâve worked with useful people before,â she says. âYou never kept them this close.â A beat. âWell,â she says lightly, âI wonât keep you, you should get busy talking with all these rich fucks. I must do the same.â She says with a warm friendly smile. âTry not to disappear again.â Then, with a glance at Butcher âTake care of her.â She almost whispers to Butcher. It sounds polite. It isnât. She moves off into the crowd with the ghost-like ease when she got behind them. Â
They make their way towards the west wing again. A few steps. Ten. Twenty. They arrive into the hallway. Itâs finally quiet here, only their shoes clicking and hard thumps are the sounds surrounding them. With a hum, Nasha controls the sound of their shoes, to not get anyoneâs attention.
Butcher leans in slightly, voice low, ââUsefulâ, ey?â Nasha keeps her eyes forward. âDrop it.â âJust⌠interesting choice of words.â He murmurs. âFocus on the mission.â âI am,â he says. Then, softer, just for her âDidnât think youâd admit it out loud, though.â That one lands. And this time, she doesnât have a quick answer for it. Which, to Butcher, is answer enough.
They finally find the other control room. No guards around here, Nasha slowly opens the door. Itâs empty. She quickly takes out the usb drive that Frenchie made and plugs it into the dashboard. A window pops up asking if you want to copy all data, she clicks yes and the loading begins.Â
âMission, success.â Nasha says, proudly.
âBit early to say, luv. You hear that?â Nasha focuses and she hears a couple of guards walking towards their location. âRight, brilliant. What now? Canât exactly say we took a wrong turn lookinâ for the bloody toilets, can we?â Butcher says. They both look around with a slight panic, the download is only at 47% percent. The steps are close enough that Butcher can properly hear them as well now. 15 more steps, 10, 5⌠Nasha whips her head around, looking at Butcher. He gives her a confused look.
The door slams open, the guards step in âHey! What do you think you are doing in here-!â He stops in surprise. Nasha is holding Butcher's face, leaning all the way in over him, kissing him. His back against the dash board, conveniently covering the download monitor, playing along, one hand coming up instinctively to her waist, pulling her in just enough to sell it, just enough that it doesnât look rehearsed. For a moment the mission disappears, all Butcher can think about now is the press of her body against him, the heat of it, her lips on his, the fact that she didnât hesitate. And he doesnât either. Nasha is not holding back, the kiss is deep, like itâs something both of them have been missing. She is not the only one taking the lead, either. Butcher has also gotten lost in the act.
The guard clears his throat.
âThis is a private area though, you canâtâuhââ
âBit busy, mate,â Butcher mutters a bit out of breath as he breaks the kiss for a second.
The guard raises his hands slightly, backing off.
âWonât be long,â Butcher cuts in. Another awkward pause. Then the door shuts. Nasha stays where she is for half a second longer than necessary, both of them taking a glance at each other, then she pulls back quickly with a sharp inhale.
âThank god they bought it,â she exhales, relief breaking through.
Butcher doesnât move right away, still leaned back against the dashboard, still looking at her. Processing. ââŚyeah,â he says after a beat. His voice is deeper than it should be. He straightens slowly, dragging a hand over his mouth like heâs wiping the moment off. Doesnât quite work. âYou alright?â she asks, already putting distance back where it belongs. âPeachy,â he mutters. Then, because he canât help himself, âYou do that often?â
She shoots him a look. âIt worked.â âDidnât say it didnât.â He pushes off the dashboard, stepping closer again, but not too close this time. âJust sayinâ,â he adds, quieter now, âbit convincing for a last-minute idea.â Nasha crosses her arms, defensive, but not flustered. âIâve had practice.â That lands. He tilts his head slightly. âYeah?â âItâs called improvising,â she says flatly, turning away quickly, only now realizing what she said. He hums, unconvinced. âRight.â
A pause hangs between them. He glances at the door, then back at her. âFor the record,â he adds, voice dropping just a notch, âyouâre not meant to enjoy it.â Her eyes narrow slightly. âI didnât!â A beat goes by in silence then, âFocus,â she says. âOn it,â he replies. But as they turn back toward the mission, he canât quite stop the faint smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth. And she doesnât quite forget how close that just was.
The download finally hitâs 100%, Nasha quickly pulls out the usb drive and they leave.
