The orchid Paphiopedilum rothschildianum ‘Elite’s Paradise Angel’ is best grown in a bark based mix, with added sphagnum moss and perlite, or crushed limestone chips. In summer, the plant needs higher humidity and bright, filtered light. The plant should not be allowed to dry out but avoid keeping wet for a prolonged period.

Not doing too hot because one of our fire alarms is going off for low battery and it is too high up to reach without a ladder and I am having a big response to it. I think I need to do some more EMDR for my fire alarm thing, because the amount of adrenaline that flooded my system when it first started going off is not cool

#a #it’s because of the fire our building had in 2022(?) that was very traumatizing to me #I did EMDR in 2023(?) which helped a ton but my husband set off the fire alarms and filled our apartment with smoke a month and a bit ago #and it was while d and I were going to bed and it set me off so bad I was huddled on the floor with him sobbing #d literally slept through the fire alarm going off though and was delightfully confused when he woke up to being taken outside in the rain #I knew that was triggering but I don’t think I realized how much it opened things up again until this stupid low battery alarm started up #anyways #tw/ mental health
