realized that in the last decade i’ve graduated from high school, graduated from undergrad, learned about doing research in biology, applied to and got into a PhD program, moved to a new state, been in two important relationships, nearly published my first research paper, listened to over 75,000 hours of music, pushed myself harder than I ever imagined, grown immensely

this decade is where i started to define myself, where i started accepting myself. in 2010 i would have never imagined i’d be where i am today, so here’s to the next decade - with big hopes that i can say i never imagined where i would be in 2030 when 2020 started
