“Knight.” Nero addressed the young man quite matter-of-factly. “Perhaps you should consider a change in attire. You are far too overdressed! Do you not know it is summer now?” He looked very out of place in the singularity. “The time for beach going is upon us. It would not do to have you rusting in your armor on the sidelines when you could be enjoying the waves!” She struck a pose, hands on her hips. “I have heard there will be a reward for the servant that disposes of the most of Bluebeard’s abominations. They come from the sea! Make haste, sir Knight. Do you not wish to be praised by master?”

“M-Master...” The word came out with a great deal of effort. Slurred speech and lidded eyes gave way to her current state. “Too strong..” She staggered, catching herself on the wall. “W-Why must you..” A pause. She wished the world would stop spinning. “keep adding alcohol... to the drinks?” Way to much of it was pumping though her blood stream. “Th-They called me.. a lightweight!! C-Can you.. Can you believe that?” With her back against the wall, she slid down it. “Master~! Don’t look at me!” Her glassy eyes watered up. “I’m shameful!” A Roman that can’t handle their liquor. She’d never hear the end of it.

Most of Nero’s life was spent around family in one way or another. Family has a mixed meaning for her. 

The only ‘peaceful’ time of her life was the days she spent living with her father’s sister. Even though she had been disinherited by her uncle to the public, he made sure she had a comfortable life. Her aunt actually took good care of her and her uncle showered her with affection when he could. They were the 

Her mother was a constant presence in her adult life. From the time her banishment was over to the day Nero died, the woman has had some form of control over her.

“I cannot help but wonder who gave it permission to nest upon my bed.” Nero gave the little lion an inquisitive prod. It.. was vaguely cute. Or.. maybe it was really cute. “I hope you are bathed regularly.”
