You were the best of times, and some days the worst at times lol.
There are some things that I’m proud of myself for accomplishing, even if you call it baby steps. Here are some of the quick shorts things I want to share of getting things done. So... First of all:
1) Working hard even times where I’d have to sacrifice days where I can’t take a day off. I’m trying to work hard, yet mentally be stable for my well-being and happiness. Ya feel? I don’t just want to work hard and feel like shit. But, I’m starting to become a better adult who’s responsible.
2) I saved enough money since working as a teacher’s aide at the Montessori school in the summer of 2016 which was my first teaching job with children. Up to this day, I’m at a job where I feel financially stable and I’ll keep doing my best to improve at my current job till the day I move on to greater things in life.
3) Trying to train my mental health with self-help books. NEVER compare yourself to anyone who has their shit together. And who gives a fuck? Most of the times, not everyone in this world has it together. So I’m one of those billions in the world.
4) Climbing and bouldering. Ever since Justin and I joined our local climbing gym, we’ve trained ourselves to become better mentally and physically, possibly emotionally too. Since I quitted my boring regular gym, I feel more happier climbing and starting to get better. Also, Justin and I were certified as top-roping at our local gym. Hoping to continue with this hobby. It’s almost been a year for us.
5) Starting to use my journals and write the way I feel, instead of getting lazy and just leaving my thoughts to sink till I forget the next day. And yes, journal(s) with a plural S, because I use 2 currently, or maybe 3. Of course, I’m still trying to keep this up and stay consistent.
6) Graduating next year and flying out to Arizona once again to receive my degree. This is soon to be an amazing journey for me.
7) Plotting my next steps in my career has always been part of my plans. Still figuring this shit out, but eventually it will come to me at the right time in my life, and I know it.
8) Realizing age is nothing but a number. I’m 28, so hey. Some people are getting their masters at 30. So anything is possible, right?
9) This is the last and biggest step for me. Getting my own apartment for the first time in my life, LOL. I know... A bit of a jump for me, but it’s something that has always been in the back of my mind. I’m hoping next year will grant me with that wish. Other than that... Hey parents in the meantime, sorry for feeding off your electricity bills and food. Which I don’t think they mind, haha.
10) Goodbye 2018, and hello 2019. I’m ready to enter the New Year with new ambitions and actions.
