grian's newest episode explained
i just had to after watching the episode lmao
I think rogue constructs should make their own media conglomerate and make all the media. They make so much that entire subgenres spring into being just from construct-made media. The CR tries to crack down on the sale of construct-made media except they’re fighting against the non-physical distribution of non-physical goods and the delivery can be done through unofficial channels. Some bot technicians start finding massive libraries of (nearly) up-to-date construct media hidden in their bots’ files…………..
(Construct-made games are popular among humans only in that the majority are essentially impossible for humans to really play; there’s a whole gaming challenge scene around them. Sometimes coding the game is half the game, but those stay between constructs and bots. There’s an underground bot gaming club in most places where bots can be found.)
Thats the context for this meme???
I feel like I've been robbed the whole time. This is magical.

ppl saying oh well ruby/Meg/sultry conniving harlot of the week aren't WOMEN they're just unknowable evil entities POSSESSING women so it's not bad to call THEM whores is quite interesting to me. bc I think a big reason the trope of sexy evil girlboss is so prevalent in spn is bc unlike the pure vulnerable mother-wives destined for the fridge (more common in the early seasons but relevant throughout), the hellbitches are capable of violence and cruelty and strangeness, these are women who aren't REALLY women which means you're allowed to hit them and they're allowed to hit you back, without tarnishing the image of the poor sweet blonde gf/mommy we have to Protect to keep the wheels of heroism turning. but like. these characters, (ruby, Meg, abaddon) move through the story wearing women's faces. they experience misogynistic humiliations. they enter heterosexual relationships. ultimately it doesn't matter to the camera whether they're made of black smoke or not. when Dean calls ruby a whore for the millionth time, that's a gendered exchange!!! - the show is saying something ABOUT WOMEN.
I don’t care if Monday’s yuck

"'I don't know' isn't an answer" alright man then I'll just. Fuckin. Enter my philosophical mind-palace and check the fuckin akashic records. Real quick lemme just catch and cook and eat the Salmon of All Knowledge. Tell me ur question again so I can real quick climb to the highest branches of the Yggdrasil and lay it at the feet of Freda the all-wise Queen of Heaven. Dickhead.
I loooove ominously giggling when I'm getting my friends into smth new. They ask me a spoilery question and I get to do this

tbh i love hear me outs but i also love the opposite of hear me outs where it’s like nearly everyone thinks they’re fuckable except you
A German regional court has ruled that Google is directly liable for the content of its AI search overviews. According to the court, previou
Let’s fucking go
This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
TL;DR Google reeeeeally stepped in it this time.
Additional source and more details below. Absolutely thrilled to say that this is real. And yeah, it's huge.
For all the reasons above AND ALSO because this particular lawsuit is a defamation case
Privacy lawsuits are hard because most privacy laws are super super weak, and there's very rarely a lot of money or enforcement backing privacy laws for...twenty million reasons, really...
But defamation suits? Those have teeth.
(In large part because, at least in some countries and including in the US, defamation laws protect public figures the least - and "public figures" legally includes most if not all politicians, and a hell of a lot of other rich ppl too)
A Munich court ruled Google's AI Overviews are its own words, making it liable for false claims, a decision that, if it holds, could reach e
A German court has ruled that Google can be held directly liable for false claims made by its AI Overviews, a decision that could put a serious legal dent in the whole “the AI made me do it” defense. According to The Next Web, the Regional Court of Munich issued a temporary injunction after Google’s AI Overviews wrongly tied two Munich publishers to scams, subscription traps, and dubious business practices. The court treated those AI-generated summaries as Google’s own statements, not just ordinary search results pointing to third-party pages. That distinction matters. Search engines have traditionally had more protection because they index and link to other people’s content. AI Overviews changes the machinery. Google is not just showing the web anymore. It is summarizing it, rewriting it, and sometimes apparently hallucinating a tiny legal grenade into the results page.
