Life rivers at the touch so cold And sparks in quick retreat But with cunning tongue Quips the unsubtlest one Tis merely the absence of heat then mesmerized by those ossified eyes the Giver no longer flees And Mister most matter of fact with a facsimile act fills in the parentheses.  

Through the last night we had a bad fight firefly’s dim narrowing our sight. Your smile crescent like the moon tonight hidden behind rolling clouds but your eyes so bright from your fire within our love ignites showing me you’re the one I will live by my whole life.

Carry me I am fray from all these gray nights Clouds blocking sight, lightning illuminates the sky as thunder roars the ground beneath us stays calm The willow above sways as if dancing the night away. Take my hand and do not fear, for I will be with you as the end draws near. You take my hand, a strong embrace. We will dance the night away.

I see you there, outside my door, hunched back, worn out wings. You’re shedding – feathers pooling at your feet Because I’m here again, in a one sided gown, IV sticking out, holding a bottle of activated charcoal, with eyes as severe as the sickness. In the waiting room, God is praying she doesn’t  have to meet me yet. Why does dying have to be so hard? I hear your voice ringing through the Klonopin fog. Strong, head snapping up “I won’t let you go yet” And the Klonopin rises from my throat standing tall, I’m left with the simple truth! It’s not my time yet.

Earth. Sky. Fire. Water. For the ancient ones, this was the center. Money. Greed. Pretense. Style. In today’s world, we must wait awhile.

Like puppets, we spin round and round. In the center, resides the hollow clown. Glitter. Flash. Worldly mish-mash. Where’s the money. Where’s the cash.

Sky. Fire. Water. Earth. In the world of nature, we await it’s rebirth.
