The disguise was simple, but it was enough not to get recognized, giving Bruce the freedom to follow the man without attracting attention. He walked a few feet behind the other, blending with the crowd whenever he needed to, the cap he wore aiding him in keeping his eyes on the criminal while pretending to be looking elsewhere. After an hour or so, the man entered a groceries store, Bruce following through the isles until the man stopped to talk to an employee, the vigilante forced to preoccupy himself to avoid getting caught. He heard the woman across from him call out for someone, noting she was struggling with the weight of the basket and having to search through the shelves. “Not Pete,” he said while he grabbed the basket before the content could spill, attempting not to startle her. “But I don’t mind lending a hand.”
