          youth  ;  dreams  ;  burnt  angst  .  this  place  each  time  had  only  brought  back  the  drowned  memories  that  plagued  mia’s  entire  being.  she  is  BIGGER  than  this  city  now,  the  power  of  scholarships  and  a  sharp  point  average  had  gotten  mia  into  a  prestigious  veterinarian  school.  with  power  and  a  little  fight  she’s  swayed  her  way  into  the  top  of  her  class,  though  she’d  always  been  the  more  dominant  type  in  the  classroom.  there  is  still  a  timid  demeanor  to  brunette,  chin  points  downwards,  makes  sure  to  keep  her  eyes  lowered  when  speaking  to  another.  mia  is  still  a  shell  of  a  woman,  but  she  has  grown  -  and  prospered.  the  holidays  were  never  a  favorite  time  of  golden  girl’s,  it  was  all  too  routine.  bring  the  boy  home,  open  presents  (  that  your  mother  couldn’t  afford  ),  and  worst  of  all  ----  see  old  friends.  group  sways  past  her,  clearing  a  perfect  path  across  the  pool  patio. laugh  erupts  from  hollow  throat  before  she  meets  eyes  with  remy. mouth  dries,  lips  part  -  for  what  she  isn’t  sure  of,  he’s  too  far  away  to  get  a  few  words  in  but  that  didn’t  stop  an  innocent  wave  from  sneaking  up  her  hip.  as  if  she  had  hid  the  action,  from  anyone  else  ---  wanted  to  share  the  moment  before  flicking  her  head  back  -  and  then  back  again  -  JUST  to  be  sure  there  was  no  mistake.  words  hadn’t  been  exchanged  since  sister’s  passing,  it  was  a  hard  fizzle  -  but  one  with  so  many  unanswered  questions.  there’s  a  full  throttle  grin  that  tugs  onto  her  lips,  turning  to  make  her  way  towards  the  smiling  face.  that  is  until  a  hefty  force  barrels  into  her  backside,  pulling  her  in  and  smacking  empty  drunken  kisses  into  the  side  of  her  neck.  right.  REALITY  CHECK  ;  mia  empties  a  kiss  to  the  other’s  forehead  before  tugging  herself  from  his  latch.  remy  was  gone,  with  no  other  contribution  to  the  notice  of  one  another.  gulp  is  swallowed  before  promising  a  re-arrival  to  her  partner,  making  her  way  to  the  drink  stand  and  then  to  peek  into  the  backyard.  easy  steps  as  she  tip  toes  to  the  other,  remy  seemed  .  .  .  to  be  brooding.  she’s  sure  that  whatever  had  been  displayed  earlier  had  struck  some  type  of  nerve  -  there’s  a  level  of  understanding  that  she  too  can  wrap  her  finger  around.   ❝   uh  .  .  .  hey.  -------  .  .  .  i  brought  you  a  drink.  i  meant  to  come  over  and  talk  to  you,  can  i  bother  you  for  a  mandatory  catch  up  ?   ❞

          for   bambi  the  nine  to  five  was  easy,  made  for  an  easy  day  to  day  within  reason.  never  boring  and  a  never  ending  list  of  new  bullshit,  detective  life  really  tired  her  out  ---  and  well,  so  did  insung.  there’s  a  hop  and  a  skip  as  she  rushes  into  the  male’s  closet,  tugging  on  the  closest  article  of  clothing  possible.   ❝   oh  yeah  ?  seems  like  you’re  looking  real  hard  there,  peach.   ❞   buttons  are  filed  up  to  the  top  of  fling’s  shirt,  soft  steps  patter  across  the  hard  wood  before  pressing  her  lips  to  the  top  of  the  other’s  head.   ❝   if  i  didn’t  know  any  better  i’d  say  you  sound  like  you  miss  me  already.  don’t  worry  ----  i  swear  i’m  not  skipping  out  on  you.  -  if  anything,  we  could  still  make  breakfast  at  the  diner.  my  treat.   ❞
