If you feel like you’ve seen this alread, that’s normal. This list of recommendation has been previously posted on my first account @praestantias which has been deleted for some reasons. So here I am, reposting it.
Hating how elitist and eurocentric the dark academia community became, I would truly appreciate that you leave some recommendation of book written by people of color, for I noticed that I am guilty of the eurocentric part, but I am really want to educate myself and read more non-white books.
Thank you for your suggestions!
I’ve read only 32 of these, sad to admit. We’ve got plenty to learn. And it really doesn’t matter, I mean the author’s ethnicity or colour because literature concerns all peoples of all races, and the only thing important is that we are all human and we’re capable of feeling. Emotions, our common point, don’t have borders or colours. It’s a great thing poc authors are getting more and more recognition day by day. This is how literature will reach into the hearts of people of all races, languages, religions, etc.
