the corners of her mouth reach from ear to ear with a genuine smile, she couldn’t even help but chuckle at his choice of words. typical landon, and she appreciated it fully. “i missed you too, dude. it’s been a while, wouldn’t you say?” it was nice to talk to someone she actually enjoyed spending time with back in high school, he always did put her in a good mood. “how’ve you been, landon? what have you been up to? i want to ask you all the questions.”

“aah!” Verona shrieked in surprise as he picked her up, followed by laughter at her former classmates weirded-out expressions. “holding me hostage? oh whatever am i gonna do!” she joked. “if you drop me Ryder, i will actually kill you. i might have to call you to get rid of a spider, but i’m serious.” she mockingly threatened.

“You’re welcome, i’ll always be around to tell you that you would make a fantastic girl. the girl version of you, i might actually date.” Verona teased.  she was internally grateful that Landon had asked her to spend time with him, because she did not want to go back home.she’s spend the day with her Gran, who was now home safe with the nurse, and it ached her heart seeing her. “I’ll come with you on one condition, you’re going to let me pick any one of my favorite romcom’s to watch and not complain.”

“you’ve got a good personality, though.” mason assured him, a smirk on his lips. it was true, if landon was a girl, he probably wouldn’t be that attractive. “thank god.” he laughed. “i’d probably still be like 6′ tall if i was a girl which is, y’know, weird.” he shrugged. “let’s just thank god for blessing us.”

“i think i would be, you know long hair on this body would look good.” marcus commented, letting out a small chuckle as he does so before looking at landon. “i mean, yeah i guess but who says you’re good looking as a guy?” marcus was obviously joking around, nudging the other slightly with a laugh.

griffin smiled, somewhat in agreement, but mostly because the other was just too amusing not to. “i agree, i’d be a terrible girl. as much as i appreciate the female anatomy, there is no way i could pull off all that.” a laugh escaped griffins lips at landon’s last comment, followed by a short nod. “i don’t know what i’d do without mine, personally.”

“i always used to think girls were a lot more good looking than most guys, so maybe it’d be the opposite.” of course, she was joking for the most part and it was hard to make any physical judgements when you had no vision whatsoever. h “in hindsight, you’d probably make a beautiful girl, but i guess that’s not the case now, is it?” she had a playful grin forming on her lips. “thank god i can’t see, huh?”

“i don’t know about that dude,” fletcher laughed, shaking his head. “i’d be scared of your dick. don’t know what diseases are down there,” fletcher joked. landon and fletcher had been roommates for awhile now and they had gotten to know each other more than two guys should. “although, i’m sure you’d make a pretty girl. not as hot of a girl as i’d be.” fletcher grabbed the beer from landon’s hand, swishing it around. “still half full, i expected more from you,” fletcher said, shaking his head in shame,

Verona was starting to get emotional after seeing so many familiar faces after such a long time, tears were starting to pool in her eyes. that’s when Landon came and stood next to her, she was glad he did because he had saved her from the embarrassment of being seen shedding nostalgic tears in front of all her former classmates. “What are you talking about? of course, you could pull off being a girl! long hair, make-up, dresses…it would suit you.” she looked over at her friend, picturing him as a girl.

“can you blame them? it’s fucking weird being around old classmates you haven’t seen since graduation. i hardly recognize some of these people,” she says as she peers at some of the faces at the farm. being around everyone just gave her a somewhat nervous feeling. “i’m not that bad, though. i’ve been living here for almost two years, and you never left, so i doubt you feel weird either.”

“I’m not sure. Remember we loved next to each, I’ve seen you naked through the window a couple of times and… never saw anything.” Sadie laughed. Things were easy with Landon, she could joke freely without worrying about hurting his feeligs. After growing together, going and coming back together from school, they had always been close and it was one of the few people with whom Sadie was still close to.
