In another episode of me being whipped for Sungjae...
Whenever I watch Sungjae on Master In The House, I noticed how Sungjae likes to point out a personality trait/habit of the ‘master’ that he finds inspiring and admirable. While I initially thought that it was just an affectionate form of flattering others, I realised that he is very introspective. He will reflect on his attitude and his wish to change his way of thinking~
I’m so whipped for him HAHAHA
During my lowest moments, I would turn to BTOB. Their songs often accompanied me through dark nights... so thank you for being a part of my youth, 7TOB

How to Get Over Regrets
1. You can’t change what happened as yesterday is gone - but you can make some choices so the future turns out better.
2. We all have regrets – it is part of being human. There’s no-one who is perfect, or who does things perfectly.
3. See it as a life lesson, and something you can learn from. Good can come from your regrets if you’ll let them change your ways.
4. See yourself as a new person … As a person you believe in …. As someone you are proud of, and as someone who you like.
5. Practise self-compassion and give yourself a break. You still deserve to be loved … it doesn’t matter what you’ve done.
6. That was then – and this it now …. Let it go and look ahead … For you can’t change your future if you’re always looking back.
3.30am thoughts
I’ve been wanting to get this out of my system and I feel it is timely for me to do so with the recent controversies surrounding some of my favourite groups/members...
Idols are not responsible for their fans’ decisions just like how fans are not responsible for their idols’ actions/words. If a fan failed to complete his/her assignment on time as he/she chose to stream the latest comeback/watch vlive, the idol is not to be blamed. Similarly, if an idol’s words/actions rubbed people the wrong way, the fan is not obliged to clean up the mess or ‘shield them’ from the online vitroil. You are responsible for your own words/actions and the repercussions that could arise from that (in this case we have to keep in mind that public figures received more scrutiny for their thoughts/behaviours than most people).
Here’s the problem: life is complex — people can have different views/opinions on a matter, and there are definitely grey areas (so we shouldn’t fall for binary fallacies).
Let’s say an idol swore on camera when he/she mistakenly thought that the broadcast has not started yet. If you were not the kind of person who enjoy cussing their hearts out, you would less likely see him/her as favourably as before. Would you then (1) join the XXXXisoverparty campaign on social media, (2) lash out on others who criticised the idol as ‘HYPOCRITES’ and ‘PETTY NETIZENS’, or (3) choose to remain silent (by not addressing the issue on social media platforms)?
More often than not, I fall in the 3rd category. Even though I keep mum over a heated issue, it is not to be interpreted as supporting what the idol did or having zero opinion on the act (although I would not deny if it could be a coping mechanism). There are a lot of things that I have to consider such as the context of where it happened, the cultural nuance and the person’s intention behind the message (almost impossible to know without clarifying with the individual).
There’s something so uncomfortable whenever someone yells “YOU MESSED UP” to a celebrity all over their social media. It’s like you knew someone would accidentally knock a glass bottle off the table as it is placed right at the edge and you’re waiting for the moment to grab everyone’s attention by screaming “IT’S BROKEN!”. As if you have never broken anything before or felt humiliated/embarrassed in a crowd.
Probably a way to ‘humanise’ your idols that you admire/looked up to is by giving them room to make mistakes and space to rectify/reflect over it. But it has to come from the idol’s OWN initiative and moral conscience. After all, we can’t force others to change for us and assume that they behave/think like us.

“It’s warm”.
“You’ll feel warmer if you come closer”.
“This is just warm enough”.
“How can human get by without lying? Only angels can. Did you tell me everything?"
"Do you know the hedgehog story? They felt so cold, so they huddled together, and they pricked each other, so they scattered. But then, they felt so cold, so they decided to huddle back together. Rather than braving the cold on their own, they decided that being pricked by each other was more bearable, don’t you think?"
These exchange of dialogues brought a lump to my throat. Words that I needed to hear the most now. Thank you for this.
Things I learnt from I Am Not A Robot
1. I had always seen Kim Minkyu’s friend-turned-foe as an antagonist. However, there was a twist. Their relationship became complicated because of a mere misunderstanding. It made me think that while one can feel so sure that he/she is the victim, one has to keep in mind that he/she might have wrongly assessed a situation. It’s impossible to know the full picture so we can never (accurately) fully assume others’ true intentions, feelings and actions towards us.
2. Everyone has his or her own struggles that we may not know of. Kim Minkyu seems to have it all as he was immensely wealthy and powerful. But almost no one knew (except for his doctor) that he is allergic to human contact. When Jo Jin Ah had a bitter encounter with Kim Minkyu when they first met (again because of a misunderstanding), she perceived that Minkyu was mean and heartless. Little did she know then that Minkyu was aloof to protect himself from the allergy. Minkyu could not trust Jo Jin Ah simply because of a misunderstanding until she regained his trust by returning his lost necklace (which she had accidentally taken).
3. Having trust is the first step in building a relationship. Minkyu opened up his feelings and problems to Aji 3 for the first time after living alone for 15 years because he could trust her. Once the trust is broken, it only becomes harder to love the person any longer. Minkyu turned into an asocial as he had a childhood trauma after he overheard people plotting to take advantage of him, thus making it hard for him to trust others later in life.
4. Make someone feel worthy and special.
“You made me realise I’m someone valuable. You were my friend. You treated me like a treasure, and you made me feel special.” (Ep 18)
Knowing that you are being loved by others is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Always express how much you appreciate your loved ones. It could be the only thing that gives a person a reason to breathe and a purpose to live especially when times are rough.
“One person is enough. Just one person is enough to keep a person going.” (Ep 18)
5. Don’t belittle others’ dreams and hopes. It hurts to see that the people who are the closest to Jin Ah (her brother and then boyfriend) looked down on her talents and her ideas/inventions. Whenever she feels inferior for having an IQ that is only 94, I want to tell her that IT REALLY DOESN’T MATTER. No one cares if you have an IQ of 90 or 190 if you have a big heart and strong will to learn. It was a heartwarming moment when Jin Ah’s inventions were acknowledged by Minkyu AND THUS, ONLY MINKYU DESERVES HER.

To make the right choices in life you need to get in touch with your soul. To do this, you need to experience solitude, which most people are afraid of.“
