The point of A Clockwork Orange isn't for you to "feel bad" for Alex necessarily, or to "like him", (which if you do is btw 100% ok because -- and some people seem to forget -- he's NOT real, so it doesn't mean you would feel the same way towards a real rapist, also the story is told from his point of view, so it's easier to "empathize" no matter how you feel about him as a person) but to see that taking away a person's free will won't stop rape or rapists and won't make the world or society a better place, that the government can't force goodness on people and that giving them that power is dangerous and VERY fascist, and prevention is always better than whatever the fucking Ludovico cure/method was, which doesn't help and is basically torture and It's very messed up, not to mention, unethical.

A person can act very instense if they're overwhelmed (bc i do), and Billy seems to be like that sometimes. I'm just saying that if he has a partner, it's probably harmful because Billy would be distant, not dependent!
