Hello everyone! I think we're well past time for a new pinned post, so here it is.
I’m Laelish (they/them). I draw, write, and often combine those into comics. The majority of my comics are set in the Star Wars Universe, though sometimes a few other fandoms make their way into the mix (Dragon Age, D&D characters, etc.)
I’ve got a few different ongoing storylines, but everything is organized under the cut so that you’ll be able to find anything you’re looking for. I use Ko-Fi as a way to make my comics easier to read sequentially. The formatting within the folders is just infinitely better than Tumblr’s for webcomics. Everything on there is entirely free though, and anything that’s on Ko-Fi can also be found here on Tumblr. It just might take a little more work to find it.
One last note: this blog is almost exclusively for posting my art and comics. The only thing I reblog to this blog is art people do of my characters, or in a few rare cases when I make art based on someone else's posts. But I reblog all my favorite things on my side blog @laelish-afriend
These comics are based off of my first full play-thru of Kotor. Kes is a fully mind-wiped Revan who wakes up with very fuzzy memories, but they’re pretty sure at some point they used to smuggle spice. So that kinda tracks, actually. Over the course of the game they slowly start to piece together who they are, but they never fully recover their memories. They also romance both Juhani and Bastila. (Yay mods!)

This is my attempt at a Dark Side play-thru of Kotor. This is the same Revan as Kes, but in this version the mind-wipe didn’t take. Scout lost some short-term memories, and their recovery from Malak’s attack on their ship has left them weakened both physically and in the Force. But they know exactly who they are, they remember the war, and they have every intention of returning to power once the opportunity arises. At least, that was the plan until some kid stowed away on their ship and drastically skewed their priorities.

What started as a few fun comics based in the Star Wars universe quickly became a series in which Din Djarin and Ezra Bridger help Luke Skywalker rebuild the Jedi Order. Grogu is also helping as much as he can, but he's mostly focused on snacks, following Din around, and occasionally learning Jedi stuff. At the center of this storyline is a poly ship between Luke, Din, and Ezra.

An AU that puts my TKT trio into the middle of the Mandalorian Wars. Ezra is a Force-sensitive Mandalorian, which is quite the secret to have in a war against the Jedi. Din is fighting for the Mandalorians, of course, and Luke is a Jedi following the Revanchist. As the war has dragged on, and they’ve all seen inexcusable things from their leaders, they finally reach a breaking point and try to leave the conflict. This puts them in the very dangerous sights of Cassus Fett, Demagol, and the Revanchist.
There’s some art for this here on Tumblr, but the main story is on AO3. It’s my longest fic by far at 175,000 words.

This is my Revenge Attack on @skraelmas's Revan (Snow) and Exar Kun (Snow's father. Kind of. It's complicated.)
I know about Exar Kun almost entirely through what Skraelmas has told me, so I've just accepted all of these things about him as canon fact, regardless of whether the Legends comics support them or not:
-Unapologetic evil diva
-Gay trans man
-Desi
-Somehow beating the odds to have fantastic hair
- Long-term toxic situationship with Ulic Qel-Droma
-Former Sith Lord, now identifies as an archeologist
-Really hard to kill, many have tried
Bastila loses track of them in the Sith Embassy for two minutes and Scout gets ambushed and wrecked by droids.
My Scout build is, for whatever reason, just not as formidable in-game as my Kes build. (The stun/sneak attack combo is hard to match.) Which, first of all, hilarious. If Kes knew, they would be absolutely insufferable about it. Second, I think it's good for Scout to get knocked around sometimes. They know what they did.
Also I know stims aren't used as healing in this game, but they sound better than "med kit".
Thank you for this! And for posting it here too, I'm excited to share it. I love how calm and warm this feels. 🧡 It really fits with the moments where they're stumbling their way into the light without even realizing it.

Femurs so generously giving Scout new levels of ominous aura farming as they emerge out of blinding darkness. 🧡 Love how the eyes look especially, like the gold is sparking out of them and into the rest of the world. (Which is decidedly not ready for that level of chaos)
Kes is gonna have quite the time explaining to Bastila and Juhani why they bet every credit to their name on a Pazaak game when they routinely lose to Mission.
Might be worth it though, because Kes would have a blast with these two. Laws would be broken. Mistakes would be made. It would probably be the end of gender as we know it. So like a great Saturday night.
Finally got another ArtFight Attack finished! This one is of @quanty27 's character, Ghost. I really liked her design, especially the smokey eyes. That was such a cool concept, and I really wanted to play around with it.
This was a Revenge. I don't think they've posted it on Tumblr, but Quantum was one of the first people to Attack me. It was only day 2 of ArtFight and already they had drawn and posted a fantastic Attack on Kes.
I'm doing my best to take revenge on everyone who has attacked me, but a bunch of attacks came in real fast, so it may take me a bit to catch up.

Yay!!! One of my first two artfight attacks ever and of course it’s Scout. @laelish is a super talented artist and writer and I think it’s super telling how many people are invested in their characters. I hope I did everyone’s favorite not so reformed Sith Lord/ lowkey girldad justice! I had so much fun drawing their hair so thank you laelish for telling me all about this little maniac.
Oh, I was one of the two you were talking about! Yay! I'm so excited that you're doing Art Fight this year. Your characters and stories are some of my favorite SW headcanons. I can't wait to draw them!
You nailed it with Scout though, they look amazing! I love how in one of these, Scout has a golden disc that looks like the sun behind them, but in the final version it ends up looking like a black hole. The symbolism is symbolizing. The ominous shadows are great for all their aura farming needs as well. ❤️

It is interesting to think how he'd respond to a situation like that. I hadn't thought about it until now, but it would be fun to play around with one day.

I am debating how I want to share attacks. But for now, I'll toss up the ones from the first week (even if technically the last one was posted after midnight last night, and then replaced with a correction this morning, it counts as last week, shhh)
First up @that1overthere 's Lunari Dexhun. She is such a lovely character! (That and I remember him drawing a bunch of people's OCs interacting with her, including Æn'kae way back when. This style was so fun and very much ended up evoking Betty Boop for some reason?
Second we have @magspeaches 's Keldan Godeviir. He just looks like such an interesting character! And look, I was originally going to give him a proper doublet, but I was having too much fun with the muscles to hide the arms. (Tumblr is tumblring and not tagging her but here's the link to her tumblr)
Third is @laelish 's Fen Mercar (Rook). I have been following them for their Darth Revan renditions, but I couldn't resist a Dragon Age character. The problem? It meant I tossed Devyn Tabris (My Hero of Ferelden) at them and turned what I intended as a portrait into a scene.
Devyn definitely isn't baffling and amusing Fen by going repeatedly and confidently down dead ends. Nope. He's throwing off a tail. Yup. That's it.

My goal this artfight is to make 30 attacks, and I'm off to a strong start. I've got 6 down and a 7th in progress but that one won't be done until tomorrow so im saving it for next week's roundup so I don't try to rush it :3

Kes and Scout meeting!!! ❤️ Very accurate too. It would take them a long time to not just fully hate each other. Also, the title of this on ArtFight was Darth Gizka, which made me laugh. If Kes decided to take over the galaxy, that's how they would do it - an army of invincible gizkas. 🐸
This is my Revenge against @flintnap after they drew both of my Revans!
They have a Revan who is a wreck after the events of Kotor (understandable, it's pretty fucked up) but is especially haunted over having to kill their best friend that they corrupted in the first place. So here's their Revan having the single worst day ever.
Also, Flint, the hand with no glove is on purpose. They took it off to say goodbye since you said it's a show of trust for them.
Took a break from ArtFight to be unwell about these two today. I'm not usually a big fan of the "I could fix him" trope. But it sure does hit different when they were the one that broke him in the first place.
Scout's AroAce, so this isn't a romantic ship. It's just that their souls are trying to claw their way out of their chests to get back to each other. It's just that they're bound by the weight of their memories and the blood on their hands. It's just that they've torn pieces off of each other in rage, and they still can't cope with a galaxy where the other doesn't exist.

There's so much detail in this. You put so much time into it! And it's such a cool concept too. I love the different motifs on the Sith and Jedi circles - the rope vs the chain, a crosshatch like a net vs open skies with stars. It makes the Sith path feel more like a trap, which it absolutely is, especially for them.
I also love how the important circles on Scout's are the dysfunctional friendship they've had since childhood, their life's ambition, and the child they basically adopted. And Kes is over here with their girlfriends and their pet frogs. 1000% accurate. Wouldn't have it any other way.
This one was a revenge against @cyan-echo and is of his Mandalorian OC, Cirycin. (He drew Scout, and it looks amazing!) The aurebesh on the side is just his name. Also, I think the design for his armor looks really cool. I always love to see how folks design Mando armor for OC's.
