who’s to say their love is any realer than ours!
because I’m curious: how do you feel about dual/multiple points of view in books?
I love them
I like them
I could take or leave them
I dislike them
I hate them

poll game!
there were ~60 conspirators to kill caesar but they only managed to stab him 23 times. assuming a conspirator got to stab him a max of only 1 time, try to split yourselves into the same percentages as those 2069 years ago
23/60 who did stab him = 38.3%
37/60 who didn't stab him = 61.7%
when i was a counselor at Shakespeare summer camp (and yes it was exactly what it sounded like) i directed a group of 7-9 year olds in 'Julius Caesar' one year. and in all my years of theatre work i have never had such a locked in bunch i swear to god. they were so invested. and when we got to the assassination scene the kid playing Mark Antony was like 'so when do *i* get a turn?'
and we gently explained, 'you don't do that, dude. you're Caesar's friend. you're not one of the conspirators'
'but Brutus is his friend too and HE gets to stabs Caesar'
now Calpurnia and Portia and Octavius are getting upset. 'wait, do we not get to stab Caesar?' no, guys, you don't. sorry. that's the play. you remember your character's motivations, right?
half the cast realises that they don't get to assassinate Caesar and suddenly we've got 12 bloodthirsty elementary schoolers having a full meltdown because THEY WANTED TO DO SOME STABBING DAMMIT
so in the end we added a bunch of *extra conspirators* and did some quick costumes changes so that every. single. one of these kids got a chance to take a stab at Caesar
except the kid who was playing Caesar
who was like. 'well i'm not going to stab myself. that would be silly.'
