If you know me, you know I embrace each season as its own. Allowing the current one to end, putting it to bed, and welcoming the new one in with full embrace. This year it’s been very hard to let go of summer and I’m not sure why. Summer ’22 was full of challenges but the joys must have won out because I’ve literally been summering until yesterday squeezing the last drops out. But it’s time. Time to soak in all the beach trips, al fresco meals, bike rides, warm evenings, quiet mornings, glowing skin, adventures in the Azores, iced coffees, shrimp tacos, margaritas, and that magical NYC energy unique to the season. I leave summer with this image shot by the incredibly talented @martacabralphoto from our 5th(!) @liquidroots Retreat in the Azores where I’m taking video of our group of amazing guests from around the world enjoying their last SUPyoga session on our floating fitness system. This image captures what I love best...seeing. I’m looking ahead ready for the next adventure and to embrace it with open arms. The food of Terceira, #AZORES, Portugal…I’ll be musing on this topic quite a bit 😊…Bifanas are traditional Portuguese sandwiches made with thin slices of pork that are marinated and simmered in a sauce of white wine, garlic, and paprika and served on soft rolls with plenty of mustard and piri-piri sauce. This beauty from @delman_bar_lounge was one of the best I’ve had. Pair this with the Oceanside view in Angra and you’re set.
