I don't actually watch #TheTalk but there is a lot of truth here. No I will never know what it's like to live in fear of driving my car. To know that even if I comply I could still be killed bc someone thinks that I'm a threat just because of the color of my skin. But I do know there is a problem. I do know something needs to change. Our thinking needs to change. #BlackLivesMatter is a movement that is important. It doesn't say that only black lives matter and no other lives matter. It means they also matter. That until black people quit being shot and killed just because of the color of their skin then people can't say that all lives matter. I'm way beyond tired of waking up all the time to a new hashtag...a new death. Another senseless act of violence of a cop killing black person just because they are black. There are so many white people that get pulled over, walk down the street, have a stalled car, play with a toy in the park...that just basically breathe that don't get killed by police officers. Don't get me wrong either. I'm not saying all cops are bad. But I am saying that there are some that are. And those are the ones that need to be stopped. They are the ones that need to be prosecuted. There needs to be change. . I wasn't going to make this post political...but honestly it is. If we want any kind of change voting for #DonaldTrump is not the answer. I'm not saying #HillaryClinton is perfect, but she is definitely the most qualified of the candidates running.

I know I'll #NeverForget where I was when I found out about the planes hitting the twin towers. The streets were so empty because everyone was glued to the TV in disbelief. Waiting to see why this happened. Waiting to see if they could make sense of it all. Some waiting to hear from loved ones. Some knowing they would never get the call they wanted.
