I thought, I should post it here since I mentioned Tumblr and a few of our beloved ones.
I tried to explain how my neurodivergent ass consumes media. Can someone relate?
"Maturing is realizing that hamilton was the villan in his own story" "Maturing is realizing that burr was the villan"
NO Maturing is realizing that the whole point of the show is showing that there was no villan just a bunch of people with their own storys and views of a Situation. Life is not just black and white, its different shades of grey and no human is fundamentally good or evil, every human is fundamentally human. If you didn't get that then I don't think you understood what Lin-Manuel was trying to bring across.
Anybody else notice how Mercy was literally so confident up until "Same Train Home" or is that just me?
Like she's all going up to Swan in "Orphan Town" like "bitch gimme your fucking vest" and then she's all like "oh shit these people are judging me fuck" and I think I know the reason.
It's fake confidence.
She was so confident in the beginning because she wants to show the Warriors how strong she is. She especially wants to get Ajax's approval because she knows that Ajax doesn't want her there, hence her part in "Sick of Runnin'".
And then she's all flirting with Swan and trying to kiss her in "A Light or Somethin'" (I fucking envy her confidence there btw). And I feel like she loves Swan because she's the only one who was really the most accepting of her joining the Warriors (besides Fox I guess) and Swan was the one that made her actually confident.
And then in "Same Train Home" she's being judged for being dirty and, well, an orphan from the streets. Unlike the Warriors who are cool and super badass, these guys are whispering about her and Mercy probably also feels bad for not stopping Fox.
And then Swan comes over and is like "Dude, I know how confident you are and how super fucking cool you are. Don't let them tear you down." and I just AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
Anyway thank you for coming to my rant.
I love having such specific interests with people.
Like, who would think people who like the bad batch and star wars also like Hamilton, Taylor Swift and drawing?
Im sorry, my group of friends irl share NONE of these interestsðŸ˜
(We also live because and for copy and paste men.)
