Lace, Yarn and everything nice

Flower crochet for bride and groom, I'm making this for my close friends wedding both have same flower but one is for hair and one is for suit lapel.

It's unexpectedly bigger than I thought but the result is really cute!

I have this habit of bringing my crochet while I'm out with my friends. Currently making a lace that I would made into lanyard. Hope it turns out well...

Recently I finished one of my DIY set. The true satisfaction of DIY is when I attached all the element in the end. I'm very addicted to them, sadly I have limited space to put them, so I stop myself from making a lot of them 🥲

Currently I'm learning and working with a new type of technique for knitting called shetland lace. It's a spesific type of knitting that I didn't know exist until I found the book on the bookstore. Of course it's expensive because omg it's so pretty!!!!

Anyway, I burn my money and tried to learn them, and guess what, it's in japanese, and do you think I can understand them fully? NO. Google translate to the rescue and now I'm trying to make this headscarf for myself.

I'm lucky to find roughly appropriate size yarn because the real deal use super fine wool, which if you live in tropical country is super rare. So I choose some kind of linen thread with fingering size, and I can only find thread with metalic accent sooooo, here we are.

Tbh my eyes hurt reading the pattern 😩 BUT, I love new technique to learn and the result is very pretty

I may have been.... Kinda miss some count here and there 😬 but hey, I'm learning so I'll just....fix it as I go.

Watch me fumble around trying to work out a row. Anyway, I sure hope there are easy to follow video about shetland lace or just, books about them in english, because I really feel like I need more source of learning. Enjoy

It's been one of my to do list to documented my crafting journey. I have made many social media around my drawings, but never blog or made something spesifically about my crafting. Recently I found myself obsessed with crochet, lace, miniature, well... I've been obsessed for a long time, but I just think it as my side hobbies. but since I keep trying new technique, make new project, and even start selling them, I think it is time for me to make a journal/blog about them.

So, this page is dedicated to my crafting journey, my project, what I did everyday and other thought or wishlist. I think for me to be able to focused on the journey of making something is making a record about them. Sometimes I'll post things I made before so I could remember them. There will be many picture, videos of me fumbling around and of course many craft in this blog. The post will be mostly queue post but I'll try to make irregular post also. The blog is a side blog so I'm sorry if there's something I miss.

Overall, I hope this blog could be a memorial of things I made and how it made me feel, so I could remember them in the future, because I realize in this harsh world it's easy to forget the feeling of joy.
