𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐊𝐒:

People in white lab coats. It was something she was used to but never liked. Everything about Alpha Corp. laboratory felt so clinical, so sterile and unkind but she was used to it. After all, it was all she knew.

Dr. Serra-Navarro however, he was unlike the others. He was nicer to her, treated her more like a person than his colleagues. Once in awhile he'd spoil her by bringing her a treat whether it was a piece of chocolate or a snack from his childhood, he tried to make her feel more at ease.

And truth be told, she had grown quite attached to him. The others treated her like the weapon they created her to be; they tip-toed around her, they were detached and cold.

She remembered quite fuzzily the day he took her out of the incubation chamber, she was wet and cold from the fluid and half-asleep. His kindly face reflected back at her and the way he fussed over her and cleaned her up and dried her off was something akin to a parent, or the closest thing she could conceptualize as a parent.

Once in a rare blue moon, she'd break out of her confined space and run amuck, causing harmless chaos. But this time, this time was different. Abbey was the one causing the chaos and it was much less friendly. The lab was facing destruction quite rapidly as her plants took over. The first floor was practically swarmed with her spores and vines.

In the midst of her crusade, Gracie had fled, feeling freer than ever. The second floor's electricity was getting sketchy, some areas were dark while others flickered. The main hall however seemed the most stable for now. Workers scrambled around as they fought to maintain the control that was quickly slipping through their fingers by the minute.

She had found Dr.Serra in his office, looking agitated and concerned. Stress etched itself onto his brow as his attention was =on anything but her. Quietly, she entered the space and peered from behind him.

"Oh, it wasn't that difficult." She wasn't sure if he was aware what she was. Often times she preferred it this way as she could never be quite sure how he'd react. After all, he did work for the government and she was an experiment.

But he wasn't stupid either. She wasn't always the most careful and well, if she kept up having little incidents of enemies suddenly dying, he may get suspicious if he wasn't already. Best to not get too carried away.
