food crimes I think the RTC characters commit
an absolute sweetheart who, due to texture issues, is quite the picky eater.
HOWEVER, she will never say no to a peanut butter and sauerkraut sandwich. they made the others try it for themselves and none of them liked it.
she also hates tomatoes and tomato sauce with all her being so she only eats her pasta heavily buttered (there's at least three sticks) with a mountain of powdered parmesan cheese.
like, there's still melted butter in the bowl when they're done.
her butter intake is. concerning.
oh and they eat twix by biting into the entire thing.
ricky is enchanted by her absolutely diabolical way of eating.
addicted to pickled beets. he can and will go on and on about the importance of beets in his heritage.
keeps a can on him at all times to add to food he thinks is too bland
when the can is done he just. mixes the juice with vodka and chugs it down.
he also peels the skin off of nuggets and potato wedges and eats that first before eating the rest of it.
ocean especially gets ticked off by this.
eats canned tuna straight out of the can. sauce included.
he's somewhat forgiven because sometimes he has bad pain days when he has no energy to make himself an edible meal.
noel tries to fix this by asking them if they want anything when he's on his shift. it only works half the time.
once he didn't check the label and opened a can of cat food. it took him three bites before realising it.
they also like soft pizza crusts. again, somewhat forgiven because they have slight dysphagia and needs something easy to swallow, but to me the texture is awful.
artificial banana flavoured EVERYTHING.
it's so nostalgic to her and reminds her of childhood when life was simpler and happier.
the others are trying their absolute best to convince them that it tastes rancid compared to real bananas
but they still give her all their banana taffy on halloween.
which only fuels their obsession.
oh and she eats super hot peppers as a snack.
somehow her bowels don't betray her regardless of how many peppers she eats or the spice level of said peppers.
taco bell has turned him off fast food forever so he brings his own food to eat for lunch.
except that they will stick iceberg lettuce, croutons and a whole huge chunk of chicken into a microwave and have the audacity to call that a salad.
he doesn't even use dressing, he claims it's too fatty
they also pour milk before cereal (same tbh)
this is a huge debate in his house because his mom goes the other way and she hates when he does that.
likes putting anchovies on pizza.
the others have considered giving her a separate pizza because they don't want anchovies on their slices.
she is just chilling while the others are squabbling over the last slice (provided it's a seafood pizza).
elaboration on previous point: penny is a pescatarian so she gets a separate pizza if the main topping isn't seafood. If it is then penny and ocean are just chilling while Connie and the boys squabble over the last slice.
oh and she likes her egg yolks dry and disgusting. (exhibit A: hard-boiled)
if you ask her to make an egg sandwich she will stick a whole hard-boiled egg between two slices of bread and call it a day.
no mushing, no mayonnaise, nothing.
mushes up canned sardines and spreads them on toast.
worse still, she won't eat toast any other way.
she also pulls her burgers apart to eat the veggies first then the buns followed by the meat with the cheese still on it.
yes, even when the burger is either probably flatter than a pancake or too messy to be pulled apart. yeah.
in the latter case, she definitely gets her hands dirty and greasy just to eat the meat all by itself.
