I quit

3 weeks ago, I quit my job a Director of Product Management at a Palo Alto start-up. It was tough. They paid me well. I didn't even feel I had to 'earn my keep' that much, but I guess that was part of the problem. I didn't feel heard, so I finally left.

I went back today. I saw some folks that I worked with. They seemed pleased to see me. I missed them, but not the chaos and definitely not the uncertainness of where the business was going. I wanted to innovate on the product and think about what was next - the business was focused on expansion. In hindsight, it makes sense, but so did my departure. They needed someone more junior than I was. It may sound arrogant, but I am comfortable in where I am in my career to say it out loud.

That also feels good.

I can't wait for my next venture. I cannot wait to innovate. I can't wait to make a difference.
