No haters welcome here. I love Gen 8!

I'd forgotten just how often I played this game. "It's so easy" I see people saying online. ...and who needed a hard pokemon game to play by themselves? Why care about the difficulty level it's a game designed for children, brotato! If you are not a child and you continue to engage with this franchise, please tell me you can separate your need for competition with your childlike joy and whimsy.

My only note is a creative one. In that, the scale of the region feels at odds with the size of the wild area and the size of the towns. Like...I get that it is an approximation but the wild area connecting most of the map together breaks the illusion I'd otherwise retain as like...oh you don't see most of the rest of the world cuz you're a child playing at the gym challenge!

Like nope, there's this entire canyon of wild space with insane climate irregularity that exists in its own liminal state? I know we're worried about Rose but can we back up a bit on how this wild area can even exist and we're just CHILL about it!? 🤭😅

I know my intelligence is valuable. ...still...

Feels like I'm still getting my sea legs but this experience let me get a better idea of what to expect from comic vendors. I had to laugh a little as I thought to include the 80's in my eras of comics to find and every vendor but one was selling silver age or graded covers.

Suffice it to say, I didn't find any comics. I did find two adorable pokemon stickers and saw a ton of Corgis. 🥰

So afterward I needed to go to my LCS and hunt their backstock. I can say I own nearly every Wonder Woman comic that's come out since the beginning of 2021. 😄 I'm three shy of this in truth.

...and I found this today at said local comic book store.

I think about how I do genuinely believe I can make a difference in someone else's day by offering them a pleasant good morning and that truth isn't changed by events on the larger scale...but we sure AF have larger clouds of doom to worry about that no small helpful kindness is going to eliminate.

I'm not saying we give up. I AM saying this shit is fucked and we're all tired of it. We are all under reacting. We all deserve so, so much better.
