Panting, huffing, and wheezing. You're almost out of breath as you run through the thick snow. Your coat has long been ripped by the branches, leaving you wounded and shivering from the cold. You clutched on to your dress tightly, trying to venture through the harsh blizzard. You looked back; you must have lost him already. Hopefully. From a distance, you could see the outline of what seemed to be a gate. The hope in you rekindled, and as if you had found new strength, you ran again with determination.

But, of course, the world is never that simple.

You crash on the ground with a thud, the pain of your bloody wounds finally catching up to you. What was once a pure white dress is now soaked in red. You lay on the thick snow, lifeless and forgotten. Soon, you would be buried underneath the blizzard.

But you won't be forgotten; don't worry. You will remain a myth of the rose buried in the snow.

Hyperphantasia. You may have heard of aphantasia before, the inability to visualize images in your mind (usually darkness or words instead), and hyperphantasia is the opposite. You can picture things in 3d space/hyperrealistically and manipulate them, and you may feel the effects with your other senses.

I never knew there was a word for it! I assumed it was related to my synesthesia since it's sight and sound to touch. Apparently, hyperphantasia may be linked to synesthesia, eidetic and photographic memory, but there isn't much research done on it yet.

Things I've been able to do that are linked to hyperphantasia:

Picture realistic characters, people, and objects in 3D

Rotate, manipulate, transform, move, etc. images including in animations

Consciously or subconsciously simulate the feeling of wounds and actions such as drowning, choking, gunshots, and exaggerated poisoning

Extend wings from back and "fly" with them

Pinpoint flavors based on ingredients and spices (combined and individual)

"Feel" someone touching me

Hopefully this helps anyone out there who didn't know about hyperphantasia :) feel free to share your experiences with hyper- or aphantasia
