knoxblake:
Blake attempted to seem disinterested, but the idea of performative poetry always fascinated him. He couldn’t imagine being in a place where he would feel comfortable sharing his work, let alone reading it aloud. It seemed the bravest thing anyone could possibly do. “And,” Blake started. “Is there, like, a cover or something? To get in?”
kymani could do cartwheels at the fact that someone seemed interested, asked questions. he had to stop himself from leaning closer with excitement, knowing personal space matters to other people. "no cover charge, just you and an open mind!" he wasn't going to mention that all the people preforming would be very, very new to preforming and very rough. he had hoped he had given them enough confidence to actually show up. he had always been attracted to meek people, sue him. "i think it's just what an academic like you needs."
