(Okay here is the rp we talked about in the dms. It is not canon to what has happened so far, but it can still involve cheesecake if you want to. TW: pricked finger and some blood drawn.)
Dr. Two Brains wiped his brow as he took a break from his latest invention. He looked up, bleary eyed at the clock on the walls in his lair, 5:55 am. Two Brains sighed in exhaustion, he spent another long, sleepless night working on his newest gadget and it was taking a toll on his already messed up sleeping habits. His Henchmen had expressed concerned when he started sleeping in late most of these days. He appreciated that his henchmen were concerned about him, but he had to get this particular gadget done in time. 'It's the only way I can find Mr. Charming and help Wordgirl put an end to this guy. If she wanted too.' Two Brains quietly scolded himself for thinking that. He didn't blame the kid for being confused and hesitant on stopping Mr. Charming now, even he wasn't sure himself if he should end the guy. It was so easy at first hating this new threat that came to terrorize everyone in Fair City. Mr. Charming had no qualms about who he hurt or blew up, he seemed to have a particular vendetta against him and the rest of the villains, but not Wordgirl, never her. It didn't make sense to anyone at the time why Mr. Charming was so hesitant to fight Wordgirl when he was more than eager to set the whole town and everyone in it on fire and watch them burn. It only made sense later when Two Brains removed his mask at the clock tower Mr. Charming was about to blow up. Even then, Mr. Charming's reveal made less sense then his mysterious persona before his mask fell off. It turned out that Mr. Charming looked and sounded exactly like the old Professor Steven Boxleitner. 'But how was that possible?' Two Brains continuously asked himself. He was Steven Boxleitner, or he used to be before the accident. But his feelings toward Squeaky and Two Brains, his intelligence and technological skills, his attitude towards Wordgirl, those were all characteristics of Steven Boxleitner. The other Steven even claimed he was somehow separated from his prisoners and tormentors and now had the chance to exact his revenge on all who failed to save him and let him rot in his mindscape, and Dr. Two Brains was at the top of his hit list. Two Brains had no idea what he was talking about or how it was possible his Steven half was ever separated from him. Did the accident cause some long term side effects, did his other self separate without him even knowing. Dr. Two Brains would have thought his other self might have been a clone, but their are too many factors of Mr. Charming that clones don't have. Two Brains rubbed his eyes trying to heal the pounding headache he was giving himself with all of these questions. He just hoped his new invention would give him and everyone else some answers. Since Mr. Charming must have some type of hideout to store his weapons or recuperate from a battle, Two Brains built a unique type of teleportation device that would allow him to locate Mr. Charming's lair and hopefully learn more about this vindictive duplicate. Dr. Two Brains gave a look over of his invention before deciding to give it a preliminary test run. He walked over to a section of the ray and pressed a button. The button opened a lid that contained a small space that was designed to store DNA. Two Brains personally designed that feature to help put an exact location on Mr. Charming. Since this villain was technically him. The DNA scanner in this teleportation ray would scan his DNA and find the other person in Fair City or near the area with an exact (or close to exact) match.
"Let's hope this works." Two Brains said to himself. He pricked his finger and squeezed out a few droplets of blood into the space. He closed the box then turned on the ray. The ray seemed to fire up well and sounded to be in working order. But as it begun to fire a beam, good old Murphy's law kicked in. The ray started to spark and light up like a christmas tree. Two Brains yelped and jumped back when a few sparks flew towards his direction. He just barely avoided getting electrocuted again. "Maybe I shouldn't have used those plutonium charges." Two Brains said in hindsight. Soon the machine grew brighter and hotter. Fearing an incoming explosion. Two Brains jumped away and ducked behind the couch. A loud boom sounded and a bright flash came from the other side of the couch, then silence. Two Brains opened his eyes a bit and waited a few moments. Sensing that the danger had passed, he slowly got up and peered over his couch. He could see the teleportation ray now a pile of melted metal and plaster. But to his surprise was the two new inhabitants in his lair now passed out a few feet from his damaged ray.
They definitely weren't the ones he was hoping for. Dr.Two-Brains hesitantly took a step closer to get a better look at the two. A damaged ray he could easily repair and handle. Yet this new unexpected turn of events left him rather frustrated. Not only did his plan not work it brought him two unwanted guests. A frown spread across his face as he got a better look at the two. His heart felt as if it stopped once he realized what he was seeing. WordGirl? She seemed different. A soft gasp of horror escaped from him once he realized why. White hair tipped him off, he didn't need to see the other side of her head to put the pieces together. That was rather upsetting to see. His attention was soon on the other inhabitant that he still didn't know who it was. Whoever it was, they were dressed in a costume similar to WordGirls signature wardrobe.
Dr.Two-Brains stood there, wondering what exactly he should do. If he moved them he could potentially wake them up while placing them somewhere else, he didn't know if they'd wake up disoriented and would attack in confusion. So moving them was definitely out. For now the mad scientist decided that he could just get a couple of spare blankets and put it on them. He disappeared for a few minutes before coming back with two blankets. Placing one on each of them.
Now what else could he do about this unexpected situation? It would be unwise to leave them unsupervised in his laboratory. So he could just stay with them until something was figured out. That would have to wait until they wake from their unexpected slumber. This just added to his feeling of uneasiness. First he had to deal with Mr. Charming now he had to deal with this. How could being a mad scientist villain be so stressful?
Dr.Two-Brains broke out his thoughts and started to clean up the mess his failed experiment caused. He would just have to make necessary adjustments to avoid this problem in the future. He'd call in his henchmen but they were on their day off and this would just cause them to worry about him all over again.
A tiny smile managed to work its way onto his expression, thinking about those two. They've become a small messed up family. Even though he does lose his temper and gets abit mean from time to time, they've never left him. They were always loyal to him and for that he was grateful. One of the nice things he had going on.
It took awhile to clean everything up, pieces of ray everywhere. The melted bits were harder to clean up but it wasn't anything he hadn't dealt with before. Plenty of failed rays could back that up. While in the midst of cleaning up the last bit of mess, he hadn't noticed that one of them had began to wake up. Too focused on the task at hand.
Mouse woke up slowly in a groggy haze. 'What happened?' She thought. The last thing she remembered was fighting Wordman and his monkey sidekick who were trying to stop her from getting cheese. Then a weird flash of light knocked her unconscious. She blinked a bit before looking around. It looked liked the warehouse her henchmen stayed at since her dad would not let them stay at her house. Though it looked a bit different for some reason, she couldn't place her finger on it though. She looked around then spotted Wordman lying face down on the floor in front of her. She hesitantly crouched forward to the fallen hero and sniffed him a bit. Even though he looked knocked out, he still appeared to be alive. Though there was no sign of his sidekick around. 'He does smell eerily familiar though.' Mouse thought to herself, but shook the idea off to focus back on where she was and to take the advantage of stealing more cheese while Wordman was out cold for a while. Mouse then heard a shuffling noise and turned her head to see someone cleaning up what appeared to be a destroyed gadget of some type. Mouse could only see the back of this person but was surprised to see they had messy, shock white hair like herself. She swore she could also make out something pink poking out from one side of their head. No it couldn't be, did someone else fuse their heads to a mouse brain as well. Mouse frowned at the implication. She did not like the idea of having someone else eat her precious cheese as well. From the lab coat this person was wearing, they looked to be a scientist like her dad. "Excuse me." Mouse called out to the person in a firm and demanding voice. The person seemed to become startled by her presence and dropped the broom they were using to clean up the mess. They immediately turned around and Becky's eyes widened in shock at the frontal view of this mysterious figure.
"Oh um, Hi there. Sorry I didn't mean to disturb your nap. I was just cleaning up the mess made by my teleportation ray." The person stated, giving a sheepish wave towards the young villain. Mouse only blinked in a stunned response. Despite the mouse features and the mouse brain like she has, this person appeared to have the exact same facial features as her dad. He even wore the same work clothes he has. "D..dad?" Mouse finally uttered. Her two brains still trying to comprehend what was going on here. The figure stared in surprise at her response. "Um sorry little girl, I know we apparently both look similar with our white hair and exposed mouse brains along with other mouse features, but I'm pretty sure I don't have any kids. My names Dr. Two Brains. Um nice to meet you." Dr. Two Brains replied, awkwardly holding out a hand for a handshake. 'Even his voice sounds similar, although a bit more high pitched.' Thought Mouse in astonishment. She shook her head to clear her mind, no it must be just a coincidence that another mouse person happens to look like her dad. She slowly got up and walked towards the male figure and cautiously gave him a formal handshake, still unsure about this other person's intentions here and what their thoughts about cheese were.
"My name is Mousebraingirl. Sorry if what I said startled you earlier. It's just you have an uncanny resemblance to my dad. Now what are you doing in my Henchmen's home."
@madmousescientist
Mousebraingirl. That didn't sit right with him at all. While he mightve not mind it, as long as he got his cheese and appeased Squeaky. He wouldn't wish this on anyone else, even his worse enemy.
"Uh, about that. This happens to be my lair. You see, I was attempting something but it seems that things hadn't gone to plan. Resulting in uhm. You and whoever that is to be teleported here."
This was rather awkward. He didn't know exactly how to act quite yet. So he just went to explain, trying his best to act as normal as he could.
Dr.Two-Brains pointed towards what was left of the teleporter. Things just kept getting even more strange these days. With Mr. Charming coming after him and the other villains as well as innocent civilians. Now he accidentally teleported what he thinks is an alternate version of WordGirl. He didn't know who the other was yet.
"I had made this teleporter to find someone but it brought you two instead."
He frowned, realizing something else.
"And when it brought you two, it broke down. In a rather destructive way, meaning that you two are stuck here until I repair my ray and figure out how to send you back. It was honestly a fluke what had happened. I hope we can recreate the same conditions that caused this."
Mouse blinked, trying to wrap her mind around this whole situation. One minute she was fighting Wordman the next they're in some scientist who had fused himself with a mouse as well. It bothered her that he looked so similar to him. She didn't want to believe him but it seems like he's telling the truth. Sounding sincere.
But Wordman was knocked out cold, that she could take advantage of. Who cares about what happened, she now had her chance. She had to get her cheese. Her precious cheese that she needed to snatch before the other could. She wasn't going to share with him just because he looked so similar to her father.
Mouse began to cackle before flying off, leaving a hole in Dr.Two-Brains warehouses roof. Cheese was all that mattered to her right now.
Dr.Two-Brains was left speechless. She just flew off?! Oh no. He knew what she was planning but he can't go after her with this stranger in his lair. Maybe WordGirl could stop her and bring her back here. He hoped.
@ninjastormhawkkat
Meanwhile high above the city, the new threat to this world, Mousebraingirl used her nose to search for a large amount of cheese. A pungent odor came from the city's resident cheese bank. "Perfect." Mouse exclaimed with a malicious grin. She then used her super speed and strength to crash through a wall of the bank straight into the vault. Mouse stood in awe of all the cheese stored in the bank, and it was hers for the taking. Mouse eagerly jumped in and begin gobbling up the contents of the vault, avoiding the nasty goat cheese. Usually before, Mouse was a bit more cautious in her cheese stealing habits in order to avoid a confrontation with Wordman and later being grounded by her dad. But now with Wordman out of the picture, she didn't have to care about setting the alarm off or worrying about some pesky hero stopping her. Unbeknownst to Mouse, when the alarm did go off automatically, it alerted two individuals. One that would be surprised by the other's appearance, and one she should avoid at all cost due to her villain status.
In another part of Fair City, inside a unique location, a red button on a monitor went off. "Hmm whats this?" a voice inquired. A figure pressed the red button and soon data flashed onto the monitor's screen. "Huh, apparently a certain parasite has succumbed to their cheese obsession again and broke into the city's cheese vault. It is odd he is being rather foolish in setting off the alarm so recklessly." The figure mused. A vicious and vindictive grin then appeared on their face. "Well I guess its time for me to play another game of cat and mouse, eh Dr. Two Brains." The figure gave a dark chuckle as a golden mask was placed on their face.
Wordman woke up finally from his transportation induced sleep. "Where, where am I?" he wondered out loud. He felt something on his back, that was not his usual cape, he pulled the item off his back and saw that it was a ...blanket? Why would someone do this? Wordman then took a good look around and he saw that he was in the warehouse lair that his daughter's henchmen used as a home. 'How did I get here?' Wordman thought. 'Did Becky bring me here?' All that Wordman remembered before waking up here was him trying to peacefully stop his child from stealing cheese again from the grocery store, then there was this flash of light, then darkness. Wordman gingerly got up, still a bit dizzy from the flash but recovering quickly enough. "Huggy, Mousebraingirl, Henchmen, Hello." Wordman called out, but all that greeted him was silence. "Okay Steven, calm down, they are probably around here somewhere?" Wordman tried to rationalize to himself, trying to calm himself down from freaking out over not knowing the current whereabouts of his daughter and monkey sidekick. Not at all concerned for the Henchmen's location. Suddenly a door opened from inside the warehouse and Wordman immediately turned towards the sound, already in a fighting stance to prepare for who came out.
"Okay finally found Wordgirl's number, now just call her and...Woah!"
'Well I wasn't expecting that.' Wordman thought when he saw who came out from the door.
@madmousescientist
He should really pay attention to these kind of things but he needed that number to contact WordGirl. The other person he had teleported here was finally awake. It seems that they were ready for a fight.
A fight that Dr.Two-Brains wasn't prepared for. He instantly held up his hands, dropping the piece of paper he just finished finding.
"So. Don't freak out but I may have accepted brought you here. Along with uh Mousebraingirl. Who by the way took off and I have no idea where to. Well I have somewhat of an idea but I couldn't just leave you alone in my lair. I was about to call WordGirl to give her a heads up about it."
Dr.Two-Brains had to explain in one go as he felt as if the other was the fight now ask questions later type. He hoped that they believed him. He'd rather not get into a fight, he was tired of having to fight to keep himself safe and alive. "If you'd let me I can get WordGirl-"
He didn't get time to finish as he dodged a fist swinging at time. The mad scientist had to act fast as he dodged the attacks just by centimeters. Thank gouda he had Squeakys agility, he would've been out like a light if he were seconds slower.
"Hey! Watch it buddy! Fragile packaging here, handle with care!"
Dr.Two-Brains cried out in frustration, this is exactly what he was trying to avoid in the first place. It seemed that the stranger didn't care and his words had no effect.
"Wait , you've gotta stop this! That girl could be in danger!"
He wasn't lying, shuddering as he thought of Mr. Charming. Who knows how he would react to Mousebraingirl.
~~~~~~
Becky seemed surprised by the alarm coming from Fair City's cheese bank. She was confused as Dr.Two-Brains had spoken to her that he would be on cheese heist hiatus while they figured out what to do about Mr. Charming. She couldn't help but be disappointed, sighing before putting down the pretty princess book she was enjoying.
"Word up!" And like that she was in her superhero costume. WordGirl didn't waste any time getting to the cheese bank, she assumed the battle position she usually did.
"Alright, stop right there Dr.Two-" WordGirl didn't finish that sentence. Instead of the mad scientist she's become used to she found...a rather frightening sight. It looked like her but also not like her at the same time. WordGirl felt absolutely horrified once she saw the familiar pink blob that glowed on the side of the other girls head.
Her eyes widened, hands covering her mouth. What on earth was going on here? What was this, some sick joke Lady Redundant Woman did? Was this a joke between her and Two-Brains?
Could he really be involved in such a horrible thing? Could Lady Redundant Woman? She hoped not. Honestly she hoped that neither villains had anything to do with this.
"Who are you?"
@ninjastormhawkkat
How dare, HOW DARE THIS VILLAIN CASUALLY MENTION WORDGIRL'S NAME AS IF SHE WERE STILL AROUND. Wordman's rage flown threw him as he fought this mysterious figure, trying to land a punch on this person who was obviously a villain that was clearly responsible for transporting him and his child back to this place that had a similar resemblance to the warehouse lair. It was obvious he was a villain if not only for mentioning that this place was his lair, but he also had a mouse brain fused to his head. Was this another vicious mouse that this misguided fool fused to his own head. 'Probably some delusional twisted fan as well.' Wordman disgustingly thought. As if Chazz wasn't bad enough. He had no idea why someone would try and mimic his daughter's accident. It was NEVER a good thing what happened to her. Wordman continued to try and lay into this villain. Pummeling him up first before making him talk. He tried to ignore the fact that this villain had some facial resemblance to his civilian self as well as wearing a very similar clothing style. The villain tried to plead with Wordman to stop attacking and listen to him, but Steven wasn't interested, not until he successfully subdued the criminal scum.
"Wait , you've gotta stop this! That girl could be in danger!"
What?
Wordman froze in his tracks. Paternal instinct overcoming his current crime fighting instincts. A chilling feeling of fear began to grip him. 'Becky's in danger?' Steven thought horrifically. He then flew fast towards the villain and pinned him forcefully against the wall. "What do you mean Mouse is in danger? WHERE IS SHE?" Steven demandingly asked the villain with a forceful and determined expression, trying to hide his current fear and panic over his child's endangered safety.
-----------------------------------
Mousebraingirl stared curiously at the sudden arrival of this hero who seemed to be about her age. She looked familiar somehow, like a ghost from the past. Mouse sort of ignored the girl's horrific expression towards her, she was used to people freaking out over seeing her mouse brain. She just ignored their stares after a while. She stopped being bothered by it, especially when her dad gave death glares to anyone who looked at her funny. Mouse was grateful that her dad and her friends didn't judge her based on her appearance. Mouse was surprised to see Captain Huggy Face on this girl's shoulders, mimicking the girls horrified and shocked expression. This confused her, why was that monkey with this new hero and why was he acting like they just met. 'This is getting a bit peculiar.' Mouse thought. She finally locked her red/pink eyes onto the star emblem on the girl's outfit. Something seemed to click in her normal brain, as if she should know what that symbol stood for, she soon felt an odd feeling of sadness, euphoria, and a strange feeling of bitterness flowing through her. It was as if that star had some personal connection to her, as if it belonged to her.
Squeaky's brain immediately glowed in retaliation, pushing down all feelings and memories connected to her old life and altering some stuff to fit her new life. Mouse grabbed her head for a moment as the alterations kicked in before staring at the heroine with her old, confident, villain smug grin.
"Well the names Mousebraingirl." Mouse introduced herself with a dramatic flare. "And you must be the famous heroine Wordgirl that people talked about so fondly. I'm surprised you have come back. Guess you are ready to take over for your mentor Wordman again? Well it won't be that easy sister. Your mentor is knocked out in some other villain's lair, and NO ONE comes between me and my precious, delicious, mouthwatering cheese." Mouse cackled evilly while licking her lips with the mouse brain glowing eagerly, ready to fight for its right to steal cheese.
"And no hero and their monkey sidekick can stop me."
@madmousescientist
Dr.Two-Brains was instantly winded as he was pinned to the wall. Wincing at the rather rough treatment from the stranger. Squeaky was in fear and he was trying his best to fight that urge to bite at the stranger, the second brain glowing. Squeaky threatened to take over as the mouse was frightened and survival instincts kicked in but he wasn't about to let that happen when that girl could be potentially harmed.
"You see, there's this guy who goes after other villains. He had it out for me the most. But he has a soft spot for WordGirl yet I don't know what he would do if he happened to get a hold of her. I should be asking YOU where she went. But I could take a wild guess."
He pointed towards his second brain.
"Where would I go? I'd go after a supply of cheese but that leaves WHERE the supply of cheese is."
He hoped he wasn't wrong about this. That he wasn't too late and he could get a hold of WordGirl to put an end to this unfortunate situation.
"So if you'd let me go, I could help you. You get it? I could help you go back as well."
Dr.Two-Brains willed his pleading to reach the other and to release him from this painful hold he had on him.
~~~~~~
Wordman? What was she talking about? The only mentor WordGirl had was Professor Steven Boxleitner and he clearly became Dr.Two-Brains due to the accident she hated thinking about. She never heard of Wordman, who could she even be referring to?
That didn’t matter though, she had to stop crimes from being committed. Which meant she had to stop this...Two-Brains like villain. WordGirl felt sick seeing that evil smug grin on what was practically her face.
"Well let's just see how wrong you are. I won't allow you to steal cheese."
WordGirl narrowed her eyes at the villain, trying to hide how truly shaken she was.
"Oh look. It's a giant wheel of cheese! Right behind you!"
The heroine gasped dramatically and pointed behind Mouse. It was the oldest trick in the book but it was worth a shot wasn't it?

If it's alright with you, can you draw Steven from the mousebraingirl au?
Not sure if this is what you meant but I remember Steven having to become wordman to keep fair city in order...and so I decided to try and draw that.
Dunno how I feel about the outfit tho. So I might change it later on
