HELLO FRIENDS I AM SUPER HYPE TO BE HERE. let me introduce to you my baby noh suji, also known as hannah noh, also known as hannahyes on youtube and on tiktok! she’s a decently popular youtuber (just short of 1mil subs!) and has a decent following on tiktok as well. her about page is here and i don’t have a plots page but i will Attempt to get one up maybe

jinwoo​:

     his lips quirk up in reluctant amusement, unable to help but feel fond with how open she is these days about her feelings for him. honestly, when they had first met, there had been plenty of misunderstandings until he learned that that was just how she expressed her affection. now that they’ve been dating and living together for some time now, both of them are more than comfortable in snarking at each other, hence their whole conversation dressed in what should have been each other’s clothes.

     "well, at least there’s that,“ he sighs fondly, and he presses another kiss to her lips gently, careful not to kiss too hard or kiss anywhere other than her lips for fear of smudging his lipstick over her skin or hair. "you better go out and convince all the girls to vote for us, okay?” his lips curve up mischievously at the corners. “we both know that the guys are going to be way more interested in me and the girls are going to love you.”

     already, he’s letting the mindset of wanting to win take over the embarrassment he’s feeling. besides, like suji had said — he looks good. he knows that. if he’s stuck like this anyways?

     well, he might as well flaunt it.

     “i feel like some girls might like their men in maid’s dresses though,” she comments, having looked it up which was why she had come up with that suggestion in the first place. she’s glad that the dance club had almost unanimously agreed on the whole butler/maid thing because she thinks it would be a great way for them to win. 

     she smirks. “i definitely do.”

     “though, i’m flaunting this suit for sure,” suji adds with a laugh, looking very amused and she glances back at her reflection in the mirror. she had originally bought this outfit for a dance video, one that she had wanted to look cool and suave in, something along the lines of kingsman. but she was glad that this was the first time she was wearing it instead, because it’s such a fun idea. 

     she glances over at him again, eyeing him up and down and doesn’t even bother hiding it. her boyfriend is hot, and he’s hers so she’s allowed to appreciate him, okay? 

hayun​:

     his eyebrows raise slightly when she asks to go to a cafe with him, a stranger that feels oddly familiar, and he can’t quite place why she’s so familiar to him. he swears that he’s definitely seen her face around before, but it isn’t until she introduces herself that it finally clicks. “oh,” he says in understanding, a smile coming across his face. “you’re haeun’s friend. she talks about you a lot,” he says with a warm smile and a mistaken sense of understanding of why she’s here. 

     “that’s fine, though. i’m not sure what you could possibly want to talk to me about, but we can go to a cafe,” he acquiesces easily. his sister’s birthday isn’t coming up soon, so he finds it unlikely that suji would be asking him for that, but maybe there’s something else going on. he has no idea, honestly. 

     there’s no inkling in his mind, no thought or even hint, about what she’s actually here for. “i hope you don’t mind picking somewhere close by?” he asks her as he leads the way down the familiar hallways, out of the hospital. he’s quite sore today, and honestly, he’d prefer to go home and rest, but he doubts that suji would have come here looking for him specifically if she hadn’t had a purpose. 

     “i’m sure you know, seeing as how you came looking for me, but i’m hayun. seo hayun.” he says (rather unnecessarily), breaking the silence.

     oh. she had forgotten that he would make that connection with her and his sister, having forgotten entirely that haeun was related to him in the midst of what had happened with younghyun. at least he probably has no idea why she’s here but she doesn’t really know how to progress their conversation once they reach the cafe. 

     but that’s a bridge she’ll cross when they get there. 

     “we can go to hansel & gretel?” suji offers, planning to buy him a drink and maybe a pastry if he wanted it, considering she was making him go out of his way and also inconveniencing him. she leads the way there in silence, having chosen it because it was close enough that it probably wouldn’t tire him out entirely.

jinwoo​:

     “if only,” he sighs wistfully but there’s a smile on his face. “at least you brought yourself back. that’s more than enough for me,” he says teasingly, his eyes sparkling with affection as they head up out of the station and towards the hotel that she had rented. “i’m glad you didn’t try smuggling any back and then getting locked up for illegal imports,” he jokes. 

     “when did i become jinwoo to you and not caleb?” he replies with an amused smile. he thinks it had probably happened when he had gone back to seoul and was using jinwoo more and more, with very few people ever calling him caleb. it had been a name he’d only used for a short period of time, comparatively, while he was learning english and in canada, but even the koreans at ubc had called him jinwoo. so at some point, caleb, despite it being the name he introduced himself to people with, ended up not getting used as much as he’d thought, especially when conversations took place in korean. 

     “i’m going, i’m going!” he laughs in amusement, his eyes crinkling up at the corners, his suitcase rolling along steadily at his side. “i should have known better than to think you could wait for food,” he teases her even though he’s equally as excited for food, and even better — food with her. he’s missed her incredibly over the past six months and it had almost felt like this day would never come.

     “that’s so cheesy,” she teases him, though she understands exactly how he feels and agrees too, because all she had wanted to do when she came back was see him. and eat her mom’s cooking, but that doesn’t really count right? who goes away from home for a while and doesn’t miss their mom’s cooking? psychopaths, obviously. but back on topic, she had really just missed being able to exist in his space with him.

     she scrunches up her face, trying to think. “i still call you caleb sometimes,” suji points out, jabbing him in the arm playfully. “my mom only knows you as caleb, so ...” she doesn’t really have much of an argument outside of that though, even if she does usually call him caleb to her friends she made in canada. and when she’s speaking english. unlike most of her friends, she had made a concerted effort to not speak much korean in canada so she had ended up speaking more english—which had been the whole point of her going on exchange.

     but since they’re back in seoul ...

jinwoo​:

     suffice it to say that jinwoo is simply much too quick to give into things his girlfriend asks for. part of it is that suji never really asks for anything inappropriate or over the top, and even if he had said no to the whole dance club thing, he knows that she would have sulked but wouldn’t have forced him into it. but he had agreed, and he’s only giving her a hard time when he’s complaining about how much he regrets it. it’s hard to be genuinely upset about it when she’s so incredibly delighted from this. 

     “you’re just trying to flatter me, now,” he complains to her and even though he’s giving her a hard time, he doesn’t shy away from the camera, sighing as he stands there prettily for her, though there’s definitely a judgmental look on his face. 

     “we do, and every day i ask myself why,” he deadpans, though there’s definitely a smile tugging at his lips now. she pulls on his arm and he goes easily, wrapping an arm around her waist. his smile looks a little pained but it’s still quite natural, and he leans down to peck her lips gently after they take the photo. 

     “if we don’t win, i’m going to riot,” he declares and like his girlfriend, he’s equally as competitive. even if he pretends to hate it right now, they both know he’s going to get into the role as much as possible to net them as many votes as possible. 

     “i mean, you’re not wrong. but you know i wouldn’t lie to you either,” she points out, and she’s sure he’s very aware of this by now, considering her nature to not beat around the bush. she’s always been the type to pull the bandage off, not wanting to prolong any necessary pain and that also just means that she’s not usually one to lie about anything. especially with compliments.

     she wouldn’t lie about this anyway. because how good he looked even surprised her.

     she laughs, snapping the photos that she had wanted and she lets him slip his arm around her waist, even though in her mind—and especially in their current outfits—she feels like she should be the one wrapping her arm around him. but the juxtaposition is funny to her, and she just lets herself lean more of her weight against him with a smile on her face as she takes multiple pictures. one of them is definitely going to end up being her phone’s home screen photo at least. getting the kiss from her boyfriend without asking is like the cherry on top, honestly. 

jinwoo​:

     he can’t help his smile even when she comments that he was being cheesy, having been thinking literally the same thing and he can’t help but lean in to kiss her quickly again, almost as though he wants to reassure himself that she’s really here and isn’t going to disappear somehow. there’s just something he’d missed so much about having her hand in his. that, and actually being awake at the same hours — even the past few days have been better than the past few months.

     "oh, jogae-gui… i kind of want that, too,“ he admits sheepishly. "i haven’t had much fresh seafood since coming back either. i miss sockeye salmon — did you bring any back?” he teases her with a smile, rolling his suitcase along at his side.

     at her incredulous glance, he can’t help but laugh, shaking his head fondly. “hey, you could have eaten just before this — i was trying to be considerate, suji-ya!” he responds playfully. “i should have known. your appetite for good food is unrivalled by anything.” he thinks that’s a good thing, though. he’s glad he’s dating someone who wholeheartedly appreciates the things she enjoys. 

     “jogae-gui and hwe? it’s not too early for that, is it?” he suggests.

     “if only it was so easy to bring sockeye salmon into korea,” she sighs, knowing he was joking but also wishing at the same time that she could do it. it’s a shame, she thinks, that seafood isn’t allowed to be brought back into south korea. she entertains the thought of her smuggling it back in for a moment before laughing to herself at the image of her getting detained for trying to bring salmon back for them. 

     suji rolls her eyes playfully at his words, shaking her head afterwards. it’s just so nice to have him with her again in person that she doesn’t even care that he’s teasing her. “when did i become suji to you and not hannah?” she wonders aloud, teasing considering she calls him by his korean name too. though she uses his english and korean name interchangeably most of the time, used to both at this point. 

     maybe it has something to do with him being back in seoul first and they had ended up conversing more in korean? she’s not sure.

hayun​:

     everything has changed since the accident. the first two months he’d spent in the hospital, recovering from so many injuries that everything had been difficult. then he’d been discharged back home to rest more. attending school was off the table, and taekwondo even more so. in the blink of an eye, his dreams of going to the olympics had disappeared like dust in the wind. 

     now that it’s been over half a year, physical therapy is one of the constants in his life. it’s excruciating, some days, trying to convince his body to move in a way that he knows it should be able to, but can’t. it’s been a long and painful session, and he knows he’s going to be feeling the aches the next day — or later, even, considering just how tired he feels. the brace wrapped around his waist provides him with much needed support, but even so, his steps are slow and careful. 

     there’s an unfamiliar girl sitting outside the room when he opens the door, and he wonders if she’s the next patient. except she’s staring right at him, and hayun gets the strange feeling that she’s here… for him? 

     “hi…?” he meets her gaze with confusion evident in his. she’s kind of familiar, although hayun isn’t really sure from what. he’s definitely seen her around before, though… he just can’t place the name to the face, immediately.

     she’s not even sure if he’ll know who she is—though maybe it’s better if he doesn’t immediately assume she’s here on younghyun’s behalf. it takes a while before hayun comes out of the room and she watches him for a moment, unsure if this would be a good time for her to say something. but they make eye contact and he greets her first, so she assumes it probably is.

     “i don’t think you know me,” she starts, quiet and a bit more reserved than she would usually be but this feels like a time for her to try to act more professional. or something. 

jinwoo​:

     despite dearly hoping for his girlfriend’s idea not to win, jinwoo hadn’t voted against her when she’d suggested the idea, having suspected that the main motivation behind her suggestion was not his embarrassment (as his brain had decided to bleat first and foremost). but he hadn’t actually expected the idea to win, hadn’t expected so many of the dance club members to be willing (even if reluctantly so) to participate. 

     but it had won and that’s how he finds himself standing there in the maid outfit that they’d chosen for all the guys, and he grimaces when his girlfriend eyes him up and down, wondering why he looks so good in the dress. in this moment he wonders if he should have cut his hair, but he quite likes the long hair on himself and he thinks suji would agree. it probably also doesn’t help that he’s a figure skater and therefore leans toward the slimmer side. 

     he’d even let suji do his makeup — whether that was a mistake or not, he’s still not sure, but it’s not like makeup is something he’s unfamiliar with. not when it’s required during shoots. but he grumbles instead, “don’t talk to me about this dress,” a distinct note of sulkiness in his voice, and he might look good but he’s not wearing that gracefully. 

     he eyes her figure, looking unfairly and remarkably attractive in the slim-cut suit, and he sighs when predictably, she ‘hits on him.’ is it still considered hitting on someone when you’ve already been in a relationship for more than a year? 

     “i was going to compliment how good you looked in that suit, but then you started being weird and now i don’t want to talk to you anymore,” he deadpans at her.

     she grins, hearing the sulky tone of his voice and she can’t help the smile on her lips. it had been her idea for this, though the reasoning behind it had not actually been to put her boyfriend into a maid’s dress—if only that was the reason behind her suggestion. no, her suggestion for the maid/butler cafe was so she could wear a suit and, while she’s not going say that it wasn’t worth it in the end, she did rather enjoy this. of course there were some members who had outright refused, and she wasn’t going to force anyone to go out of their comfort zone for this. but jinwoo had agreed. 

     it’s great. she loves her boyfriend so much sometimes.

     “but the dress looks so good,” suji changes tactic, feeling very amused about the fact that he’s wearing a dress right now. it’s not something she had ever thought she would see, since it’s not a [redacted] thing for them either and she doesn’t really have any desire to see him in a dress. but it’s great while it lasts, and she tugs her phone out of her pocket to snap some pictures.

     “you should be used to me by now? we literally live together,” she points out, this time turning the camera to herself so she can take a selfie. she reaches out to tug on his arm, wanting to see if he would come closer so she can take a commemorative selfie and maybe mirror picture of them together. and maybe a kiss, if she’s lucky. hopefully this was extra enough that they would win the contest. she can feel her competitive side flaring up at the thought of it. 

for you @kwhayun  kinda backtracked to july 2021

     when she had heard from younghyun what had happened, she had genuinely been shocked. she’s both disappointed and surprised, and also had felt very bad for the person who had been on the losing end of the stick. and after hearing the name of the person, suji had realized that she kinda knew the guy. 

     and also knowing that younghyun had just been thrown off into the army like some villain delinquent that she knew he wasn’t, suji sort of felt like she needed to say something to hayun on his behalf. but, not on his behalf because she definitely thought that younghyun needed to apologize on his own accord and not through her. not that he had asked her to either though. 

     she heads to the hospital, asking the reception if she could go and visit hayun under the guise of being a friend. she’s telling the truth at least, when she says she was unable to visit since she had been studying abroad and gets told the room that hayun is currently in for physical therapy. she hopes he doesn’t think she’s intruding on his privacy, but she feels like she has to do this.

cory​:

   okay. 

     so maybe she has something of a point. cory is not going to tell her that out loud but he finds himself agreeing nevertheless. yes, suji is a friend of his and yes he has enjoyed his time hanging out with her. even if it means he loses precious study time. he won’t really continue to deny her when she seems to adamant about getting him to go. call him weak or whatever but he isn’t someone who likes to let his friends down.

     even if those friends double as persistent brats who love to torment him. he says that out of affection. 

     “i don’t know why you think the offer of cute boys to flirt with or to flirt with me would make any of this more enjoyable but—” he lets out a long suffering sigh, one hand going to his hip and the other raising to pinch the bridge of his nose. 

     “fine. i will go out with you.” he feels as if all his soul just left his body and went to the library without him. “is your boyfriend at least coming or is it just us again?” 

     “because i know you’re perpetually single and need to get laid,” she comments, though she knows he can hear the teasing tone in her voice. she’s joking, considering that she knows he’s not the type to do that or anything, but she also wants to tease him a bit. she knows he’s also very serious about his studies—which she should be, but can never really get into since she has her youtube channel to focus on instead and that’s much more fun—but she thinks that university is a time to let loose and have a bit of fun at least.

     considering the real world probably won’t let them do this as often.

     “nice,” suji comments once he’s agreed and this is when she finally lets go of his wrist. she’s not actually afraid that he might run away or anything—she knows where he lives and where he usually studies so he can’t get away from her even if he wanted to, though with that point if he truly didn’t want to go, she would’ve backed off—and he’s given her his word now and she trusts it.

jinwoo​:

    he can’t help his wide smile and he squeezes her hand gently. “facetime isn’t the same as seeing you in person,” he insists. it’s funny — never once had he thought that he would become someone quite so cheesy and romantic as he finds himself being with suji, but maybe he hadn’t known himself quite as well as he thought he did. maybe all his other crushes and relationships had always been just shallow. this is the first relationship he’s pursued where he’d liked her enough to even want to date her despite being long-distance. usually, it would be a sign to give up. but he had liked her enough to ask her out despite knowing that he would be leaving soon.

    he still thinks it’s funny how they met. he had never expected the girl who had literally run into him on the skytrain to show up at the first ksa meeting the next week, but if he believed in fate, he would say that they were fated to meet.

    he doesn’t, though, so it’s just a lucky coincidence.

    “i’m hungry enough,” he admits with a laugh. “i went for practice before coming down. also, it’s busan and we should have seafood. have you had hwe since you came back to korea?” jinwoo is used to early mornings even though he definitely prefers to sleep in, but since he’s not going to be practicing while in busan, it was important to at least get in an hour or two. “are you hungry enough for seafood?”

     “cheesy,” she comments with a small smile on her lips, though the slight pink flush on her cheeks betrays her true feelings compared to what she’s spoken aloud. she completely agrees though, considering they had started dating and had dated for a while before switching to long distance and during the first few weeks, she had really felt it. it wasn’t even because they had started anything physical—because they had only kissed a few times before he moved back to seoul—but the timezone and not being able to reach out and hold his hand. that was hard. 

     she’ll admit though, she never wanted to see him again after their first accidental meeting, too embarrassed by the circumstances.

     but now? now it kind of feels like fate. cheesy as that sounds.

     honestly, she’s a bit surprised that everyone had gone with her idea in the end. she had mostly been joking when she had suggested it, but it had ended up being picked and she could not be more happy about it. most of the club members had good-naturedly gone along with the idea of a swapped maid’s cafe, with the boys dressing as the maids and the girls dressing as the butlers. 

     if she’s really honest about it, suji had just wanted to wear a suit without really thinking about any of the other consequences until it occurs to her that her boyfriend was one of the ones who would need to wear a dress.

     that’s when she really loses it.

     “oppa, why do you look so good in the dress?” she asks, eyeing said boyfriend up and down appreciatively, all too amused even though she’s telling the truth. maybe it’s because he has long hair already, but for some reason this really seems to suit him. or maybe it’s because he has a skater’s figure, and he has nice legs or something because of that?

     she’s not sure, but what she is sure about is that he looks really good. and jinwoo had let her kind of do his makeup too, even though it’s not really girly or anything. his skin looks nice and she had done some nice matte eyeshadow on him too. and, well, she always thinks he looks attractive but she thinks he looks great now too.

CORY

        like dealing with a devil, cory sort of feels like every interaction he has with suji is him signing away his soul a little. he unwittingly signed his name on the dotted line the day he agreed to be her friend. though really it just kind of happened. he can’t say he dislikes the girl, she’s a good dancer and interesting conversation when she isn’t trying to get him to cut loose. so , sure, he considers her a friend. 

       but sometimes he wishes she didn’t consider him one.

      or maybe she doesn’t and this is just an amusing past time for her. honestly, cory wouldn’t be surprised is that was the case. he can tell she sounds amused right now. and he already knows there will be no talking her out of this or escaping. not when she wraps a hand around his wrist. he would never try to break around her. to worried he would hurt her. despite his prickly attitude he doesn’t like to hurt anyone physically or otherwise. not unless they deserve it and suji doesn’t. her only crime is trying to get cory to go party. 

      “i have friends.” he replies with a sigh in his voice. already accepting the inevitable. “alright, fine. have it your way.” he responds following her backwards steps. already internally bemoaning the fact that he would not be able to study tonight. 

     “yeah, i’m one of them,” she points out, raising an eyebrow at him. honestly, she’s not too sure if he really considers them friends, but they’ve hung out normally too—not just at clubs or things. a lot of the times, she tends to be the one who drags him out to go get food or to go get coffee or even a snack, but she mostly considers it being like this because he’s a workaholic. she’s always been the go-getter type, even in friendships and relationships, so she’s not surprised that she’s always making the first move. 

     it would be more annoying for her if she could sense that he actually, genuinely disliked her. then she would stop trying. 

     “you told me you enjoyed yourself last time,” suji says, remembering it very clearly. maybe he hadn’t outrightly said it, in those exact words, but the implication that he had had fun was still there. and that was why she took it upon herself to get him to go out more.
