I always loved this sign. The south and North are the correct directions...Maine and Georgia, not so much.

The entire section of the Appalachian trail by Palmerton used to look like the bottom photo until the past couple years. I was so shocked to see how much vegetation has grown back. It is far more impressive than this photo shows.
