‘Day out with my favorite didi 🥰’

Yangyang was seething, frothing at the mouth if you will. He stared at the phone in his hands, a picture of Kun with one arm around Chenle’s shoulders, both of them smiling at the camera, lit up the screen.

It was around the tenth time Kun had posted something with Chenle just this month and Yangyang could feel bubbling, hot jealousy eating at him, not that he would ever admit it out loud. But he was absolutely miserable. Even Ten had stopped teasing him for it and kept telling him to talk to Kun or asking if Yangyang wanted Ten to do it. Yangyang threw his phone across the room before letting himself fall on the bed, wiping away the stubborn tears forming at the corner of his eyes.

Things between Yangyang and Kun were complicated, to say the least. There was love there - at least on Yangyang’s side - and they definitely fucked (often) but there had never been a talk about whether or not they were exclusive.

Yangyang was pulled out of his thoughts with a startle when Louis jumped on his bed before climbing on top of him and rubbing his face on Yangyang’s cheek, making it hard to breathe. He turned on his side, holding Louis close so he wouldn’t be jostled too much and buried his face on his soft fur, letting the soft purr wash away his anger. He must have fallen asleep for a while - Louis in his arms and Leon joining them and cuddling against his back - and was once again startled some time later by the sound of laughter coming from the living room. Yangyang tensed as the high pitch laugh travelled all the way to him, a laughter he knew well. He got up in a hurry, receiving a disgruntled meow from Louis and quickly made his way to where the sound was coming from.

He saw red. They were both near the front door, Kun had his arms around Chenle in a strong hug, a bright smile on both of their faces.

“Kun-ge, you promise you’ll take me to your studio tomorrow?” Chenle asked when he pulled away, still holding Kun’s arms.

“Of course, anything for my favorite didi,” Kun said with a fake seriousness before laughing and pulling Chenle into a hug again, “okay, now be careful on the walk back and text me when you get there, okay?”

His favorite. He had said it again. His nails were painfully digging into his palm, so hard he was sure he had broken the skin. Chenle had left and Kun had come back to the sofa, sitting comfortably with his phone. Without thinking and with tears clouding his vision Yangyang made his way to the couch, Kun didn’t have the time to protest before Yangyang was straddling his lap and pulling him into a kiss. The kiss started rough, fueled by Yangyang’s anger and jealousy, full of teeth and tongue until Kun held gently onto his cheeks and started stirring the kiss into a softer one, his brows still furrowed in confusion over Yangyang’s behavior. And Yangyang just wanted to cry, how could Kun kiss him with so much softness - because he was always so gentle with Yangyang - and then cast him aside for someone else?

“Who’s your favorite now?” Yangyang whispered once he pulled away, tears falling down, wetting Kun’s finger still holding onto his cheeks.

“What?” Kun asked as he put some distance between them, his already furrowed brows deepening even more in concern at the look on Yangyang’s face.

“Is-Is Chenle still your favorite?” Yangyang replied, his voice laced with doubt and a hint of sadness.

Kun stammered in reply, completely lost for words, his hands slowly falling from Yangyang’s soft cheeks.

“Forget it…” Yangyang whispered again as he got up from Kun’s lap, a fresh batch of tears gathering in his eyes.

“Yangyang, wait…come here,” Kun got up right away and held onto Yangyang’s wrist before he could get away and pulled him closer, “what are you talking about?”

“You - you said Chenle was your favorite, you said it this morning too and you’re always with him and - “

“Are you jealous?” Kun couldn’t help interrupting Yangyang.

“What? No? It’s - it’s just -” Yangyang stammered, looking anywhere but Kun’s face.

“Yangyang…” Kun said softly, sliding the hand on his wrist to hold onto his hand and grabbing onto the other, before turning them around, his brows furrowing at the crescent moon shaped marks on his palms. He petted the area where the skin was raised with his thumb before kissing it softly, a small sob echoing in the room. “Yangyang, look at me.”

“It’s okay, I get it…we’re not together and you don’t have to love me back a-“

Yangyang was interrupted by Kun pushing their lips together, his hands flying to Yangyang’s cheeks. Kun kissed him deeply, his tongue pushing between Yangyang’s soft lips, drinking in his breathy moans.

“I love you,” Kun said when he pulled away, so sure of himself Yangyang didn’t know what to say, “I’m sorry I didn’t show it…”

“Chenle?” Yangyang asked, his vice small and doubtful.

“I love him like a little brother, it’s different with you…you’re still my favorite person and no one is taking that place from you,” Kun wiped the tears from Yangyang’s cheeks, his heart swollen with love for the boy in front of him, “now come on, I’ll give you the attention you deserve…”
